Vraelios landed on the ground a lot softer than someone his size should have, especially after such a long jump. It was all thanks to his practiced dragoon skills. They were warrios made for versatility and sky battles, thus they had many moves that were utility based. With a twitch of his staff Vraelios was able to catch the wooden sword and knock it to the side. One reason these weapons were so handy was because how quick they could turn from defensive to offensive. The elf dug his foot into the roof and pushed off hard, closing what little distance there was and thrusting his pole out at rapid speeds. He would aim for various parts of Exceed's body and end with a shot to the face.

• Inocuous Strikes C Innocuous Strikes is a series of pokes and thrusts with the staff that seemingly do no damage. That is because they are done to small points and don't aim to raise contusions and bruises. Instead, these strikes are actually targeting inner muscles and key points on the body. At low ranks this does nothing more than make the target feel sore. At novice, three hits on the same limb can disable it for a 3 posts. At adept this is capable of completely disabling a limb and at Expert the innocuous strikes become strong enough to cause internal bleeding and hemorrhaging.

'Exceed' Bladed Gunner ╔══════════════╗
Exceed was hit several times, being knocked back a bit as he managed to dodge the last hit to his head as he was only lucky from the barrage. He was quick to move away, creating distance as his wind had died down around him once more. His body was feeling sore from the attacks on his muscles before he pointed his broadsword at the man. He calmed his heart down, letting the wind move around freely, as if he was letting it play around his body for one last movement.

• Enhanced Speed/Jump C (2/2) Requires Adept rank The user pushes wind around their bodies to make them move faster by 2 ranks. This skill will also allow them to jump as high as two stories. This lasts 2 posts.
Sword Flash C Unlike the natural stance, the user will hold their blade out in front of them, oustretching their hand. Maintaining this stance, the user will wait for the oncoming strike from their opponent. The user will use their sword as a ruler, waiting for the opponent's strike to reach the point where the blade and guard meet. At this point, the user will side step to either the left or the right. The opponent by the time that they have reached the guard, will not be able to retract their attack. It is at this point where the user will fluidly flick their wrists, aiming to slash at the neck of their opponent.

There was a satisfaction leaking into Vraelios from Balerion, who had not even blinked since the battle began. He watched every movement his companion made, his vision registering even the most minute of muscle twitches from this close. The dragon also watched Exceed very carefully, wanting to lock in his mind all that the human did. Once Vraelios' staff launched and missed Exceed's head the elf spun it around and pivoted so his back or blindside was not exposed to his opponent. The sudden break made him wary, and Vraelios hesitated for a moment. "Lend me your strength!" The halfling thought as his energy shot into the roof. The wood warped and bent behind Exceed, reaching up to grab ahold of his legs. At the same time Vraelios took a step forward and used the staff's long length to swipe at Exceed horizontally.

'Exceed' Bladed Gunner ╔══════════════╗
Exceed felt nature bend to the man's will, his legs being forcibly bounded to the roof before Exceed moved his sword around before he stabbed it into the roof. He soon braced his left arm and tanked the hard swing of the staff, but before the Centaur could bring it back, Exceed showed him the technique of a counter, He grasped ahold of the staff before it could be yanked away, the roots helping Exceed stay his ground as he could've felt the muscles in his upper arm having cushioned the strike so it wouldn't have had a broken arm. He decided to use his pinkie finger, holding the staff still as he shot out a bullet of pure wind towards the man. "Do not take me for some simple human!" He told the elf as his arm was definitely going to be sore.

Vraelios had indeed not said a single word since the battle started. In truth, he never ever underestimated a single being he fought. That was how you ended up dead. Instead, he admired Exceed's ability to remain prideful and aggressive even after taking hits. There was no way this boy would wrench the staff from him, and instead the dragoon gripped it tightly, one hand on either side of where Exceed was holding it. He took the hit square in the chest from the air bullet with a small grunt though firmly held his ground. Now, with Exceed as the fulcrum all Vraelios had to do was push forward on one side of his staff. The right end of the staff shot forward for the side of the human's head. The elf also lifted his left knee and drove it hard towards Exceed's ribcage.

'Exceed' Bladed Gunner ╔══════════════╗
Exceed noticed the man moving in close with his staff, Exceed only having a small time frame to take things into his favor. When he got close, as he was moving his hands, Exceed used two of his fingers and pressed them against the dead center of the staff. The elf flicked his wrist and caused the staff to move, but Exceed had shot out two air bullets, breaking the staff in half. The man soon came at him with a lifting high knee as Exceed couldn't react in time. The staff had moved up and over Exceed instead of colliding with him as he was forcibly sent into a cough from the strike as he was still stuck in place.

When the staff split but the second attack connected, Vraelios ceased fighting. He took a step back, both ends of his wooden weapon in either hand. That blow Exceed had taken wasn't an easy one to shirk off. As it was, there was no need for the elf to keep up a continuous assault. He had been hit from the air bullets and his opponent had taken a few hits as well. Vraelios felt no urge to beat the crap out of the human or taken one himself, so he stopped. It was clear that he didn't want to continue because his position completely relaxed and he let the staff halves drop to his side. If Exceed wanted to go on Vrael would comply.

Exceed patted his chest a few times, using the air itself to dice and cut the branches that held his legs together. His rib-cage was alright, but hurting for the time being. "Congrats... you're an honorary soldier of Kusana." Exceed stated as he had noticed Vraelios's calmed state, standing up in his own neutral state. "I've been trying to train my men to fight only when necessary... which means to stop before things get too far. You've earned my respect Vraelios." Exceed smiled at him as Moko came out of the Dojo, bringing a tray of freshly brewed Tea as he took a cup for himself. The mechanical dog moved to Vraelios, offering him a cup of warm tea.

Vraelios had bruised where the compressed air bullets had hit his broad chest, but he showed no signs of discomfort. He waited patiently for Exceed to remove himself from the wooden snare, taking the time to listen to Balerion. The dragon's thoughts were layered with the want to say something, though he was reserevd. Through their link, Vrael spoke. What is it, Bal?" It was most unlike the beast to keep something to himself and feel like this. There were times that he would allow Vrael to work things out on his own and he normally reserved his judgment on others, but this was different. If Vraelios didn't know any better he'd say Balerion was being coy. The elf turned his head to actually face the dragon and raised an eyebrow in question. With a clearly derisive snort and a plume of smoke, Balerion finalyl responded. "You allowed yourself to be disarmed by the two-legs." An awkward pause passed between them and Vrael felt the need to defend his actions. He had only done so because Exceed had been trapped and the staff was of little consequence to him. Had this been a real battle he would have been equipped with the dragon bone spear, and that certainly would not have broken under the pressure of air. Without having to say a word to the dragon Vraelios conveyed just that and puffed out his chest to stand proud. The dragon's tail twitched before it began to wave back and forth slowly. If Balerion could smile, he would be right now.
Once Exceed was free he spoke to Vraelios of knowing when and when not to fight. This was a lesson Kelios had taught him when he had just been but a fresh faced boy. There were battles that could be won merely with words, and often times with the mere presence of a Centaur. Vraelios rarely had to brandish his weapon or make an aggressive action. It was easy for him to disengage in battle because he was humble, no part of him sought destruction or death. "Then I thank you, Exceed. You have allowed me to test my strength in battle. Please, let me show you what I can do on the field as well." This time Vraelios spoke in elvish, coming to the assumption that someone living in Kranila probably had the ability to at least understand the language. In this tongue he was much more articulate and didn't sound like a brute. When Moko made its way over to Vrael he could feel his phantom tail flicking in distaste. Regardless, he accepted the cup with a wordless nod of his head.

Exceed watched the interaction between Vraelios and his Dragon as they appeared to be in a mental conversation. When they were done, he heard the man speak in the elven tongue and smiled as he understood him completely. Exceed cleared his throat and spoke in Elvish as well, responding to him. "Do not thank me Sir Vraelios, it is an honor to fight when that of an elven Dragoon. But if you seek a mission then I would request you get yourself well armed for something I have planned to do. It's going to require your wit and strength to achieve something like this."

Vraelios nodded his head and accepted his first order. It was such a strange notion, especially from one who looked so much younger than him. Even when learning from Kelios they had been equals. But the elf understood that the military had its own way of doing things. If he wished to excel as a warrior than he must follow their ways. Vrael went to the edge of the roof and dropped down, landing as lithely as a cat. He did not even spill a drop of the tea. Balerion moved as well, slithering over the wall of the dojo into the large enough courtyard to retain him. As Vrael walked over he drank the tea heartily, stopping to place the cup down and retrieve his spear. He jogged over to his dragon and greeted it with a palm placed lovingly upon Balerion's maw, for there was little else he could reach just then. Vrael made his way to the dragon's side, where he had stored a bag of sorts. Inside of it was his armor. Piece by piece Vraeliso assembled the bone and scale set, tying things where they needed and buckling down other places. In no time at all he was completely covered in the armor, save for his helmet. He carried that underneat his arm, the horns adorning it curving wickedly around the limb. "Tell me what it is you need me to do, and where it is I shall go." Vraelios called to Exceed before turning to Balerion. The dragon had not moved since then but finally squatted a bit, his underbelly pushing down against the earth. The elf grasped a scale and hoisted himself up, having to leap from that point to make it to the space between Bal's neck and shoulders perfect for sitting. He pushed the helmet over his head and waited for Exceed's orders.
While sitting atop Balerion, Vraelios had a clear view of the others assembled. He spotted a man decked out in armor, standing around waiting for something. The elf stroked his beard and wondered what the harm could be in inviting another soldier along for a quest. With an arm raised in a greeting, Vraelios called out to Caleb. "Knight! Do you wish to join our group?" His voice boomed out over the courtyard and right back into the dojo, the human would be able to hear him with relative ease. Balerion shifted on the ground, his claws gouging the earth with each move. He tended to refrain from damaging the natural order of things, merely for the sake of Vraelios, but in such a small setting that was hard for the dragon to do.

After a little while, Exceed could feel some things awaken around the place, looking around for a bit before he pulled out a small scroll from the roof since they remained on it. He soon turned around, facing the tall man before he handed him the scroll. "Dark times are ahead of us... I want you to take this scroll and look for the beings listed on it. I want you to take a group of three, including yourself. These creatures will be stronger than you think." He told Vrael, soon noticing Calab and Gilraen before he leaned in close. "Take the two we have here as well."
On the Scroll listed four types of creatures: The Shade found in the Dark Bog, finding the creature will be easy due to the trail of death they leave behind. The trail can be seen going through the Dark Swamp. I require a vial of Shadow Essence.
The Golem of Earth & the Sylph's Bearer, these creatures can be found somewhere at the Highwind Treetops, be careful of the loose branches as these two enjoy sky-riding. I require the Stone Heart and a Blessing of Wind.
Demon Hide, news has spread about Tree Devils lurking the area of the Safari Guide zone. Weak to fire, but can use it as well to embue their attacks with fire attributes.
Lastly, I've been feeling the pounding of hooves, even from atop these trees the earth shakes. Centaurs have awakened I believe so I would need a blood sample from them.
