"Hyea-ha ha haha!!" Mike cackled, sweat practically raining down from his face. "Ha haa ha! HA HA ha...haaa....haahehehaaaaa....eh-ha! Eh-haa....ha..." The boy started to sway back and forth, his vision getting steadily more blurred. Squeaking out one last laugh, Mike's legs gave out, and he fell to the ground. If it wasn't for his Pokemon being right there he would have surely hit his head on the rocky floor.

He's fine, just unconscious. The Breloom slowly reeled the boy in, his quick reflexes and elastic arms preventing his master from any more brain damage. Portabello studied the boy in his arms. What happened to you master? You used to be so full of life, so hopeful. The Pokemon shook his head before handing him over to Nitro. Where did it all go wrong? You mind looking after him while I check out the area?

"No problem," replied the Charizard, unfolding his wings and nesting the boy between them. "I'll keep him safe."

Portabello forced a smile. Indeed, there was no place safer his master could be than with him. Keep him warm friend, I won't be long. The Breloom walked towards the exit, a space so small he needed to duck. With one last look back, he saw Nitro lay down on the ground, taking extra care with his precious cargo.

Leaving his master with Nitro put the bulk of his concerns to rest, but there was still the worry of this strange new setting. He didn't feel that a volcano was the best choice of hiding places. He shook his head, it wasn't his decision anyway.

The inside of the volcano was shaped like a giant bowl, divided into floors by rocky balconies. In the center was a small pool of magma, barely larger than a kiddie pool. The air was clean enough, and there were scarcely any Pokemon around, save for a few Slugma and Geodude that were minding their own business. Overall it made a good attempt at looking safe, but the Breloom wasn't convinced. Portabello hopped down to the ground floor and looked for the main entrance. Surprisingly enough, through the open maw of the volcano, the Pokemon saw a boy. He wore only a pair of white pants, and a small Pokemon stood beside him. Both were doing some sort of exercise, the boy surprisingly keeping the pace with the Pokemon. Portabello's interest was now officially piqued.

Sam was languishing in the room again. They had left her alone after a few more inconsequential questions. She stuck her feet on the table, and leaned back in her chair. How long were they going to keep her here? What was going to happen? The door opened, and in came, of all people, Mr. Kuljis and Orion. Sam's chair slammed onto the ground, and she banged her head on the table.

"Owww...M-m-mr. Kuljis! How are you?" Mr. Kuljis didn't look as jolly as he had the night previously. He looked rather annoyed as he took his seat across from Sam, next to Orion. Sam felt herself shrinking, and she slumped in her seat. His gaze softened a bit.

"Oh my dear, I'm not angry with you, I'm angry at these ridiculous charges and having to be dragged all the way here! Now really! I've already admitted to giving her the little Murkrow, isn't that testimony enough?" Sam smiled a bit.

"Apparently not, I've been saying the same thing for hours now and they still don't believe me." Orion made a small sound, and Sam looked at him for the first time. Her eyes narrowed. "Why are you here?" she hissed.

"Because I frankly don't believe you, and after how you treated me last night, my word holds more water then yours and this man here," Orion said, seething. Mr. Kuljis turned to him.

"Young man, Sam is a very nice young lady, and you are treating as if you did no wrong. As soon as those drug tests come back, your influence is going to shrink." Orion made a tch-noise, and turned away, arms crossed. Sam rolled her eyes. Officer Jenny came back in. She brought with her two pokeballs. She released Devlin and a large Honchkrow. The two watched each other, then Devlin sat on the Honchkrow's feet, snuggling in happily.

"Well that confirms one part of the story. Mr. Kuljis is a reputable breeder, and since his Honchkrow quite obviously recognizes it's child, Mr. Kuljis must have given the egg to you Sam." She recalled both pokemon.

"Well great! But she still slapped me, snuck back into the Gala, and drugged me!"

"Drugged you?! I never drugged you! You took the Xanax yourself!"

"I did not! You slipped it in my drink!"

"I didn't get you any drinks! The first time I got a drink was when Keegan got it for me!"

"Enough!" Jenny said. "I can't say who I believe, but there were enough witnesses to the slap. Sam, why did you slap him?"

"Because he stole my Xanax!"

"I did-" Mr. Kuljis clamped a hand over Orion's mouth.

"Young man, you are out of line! It is not your turn to speak, you did enough of that to the press last night." Sam smiled discreetly.

"Thank you Mr. Kuljis," Jenny said. "Orion if you cannot hold your tongue I will keep you here in contempt. Am I clear?" Orion nodded, glaring. Mr. Kuljis removed his hand. "Now then. He stole your Xanax?"

"Yes. I had gotten it from the pharmacy. While we were at the Gala, he was acting funny and I thought he was drunk, and asked him such. He said no, showed me the bottle, and I took it. I was so angry at him that I slapped him, then locked myself in the bathroom. I flushed the rest of the Xanax down. When I came back out, he had left, and I sat with Riza, Keegan and Serenity instead. I saw one last time, and he was off making out with some blonde." Orion reddened. Jenny nodded. An officer entered with some sheets, and Jenny looked them over.

"According to these reports, you had the drug Xanax in your system. And trace amounts of alcohol. You are underage Orion. That is enough for me to decide that Sam is innocent. You can go." Orion got to his feet angrily.

"What about her?! You can't just let her go! How do you know she wasn't drunk?!" Jenny turned to Sam.

"He has a point. Although I know you would never do something so stupid as to mix your medicine and alcohol," she sighed, "I need to draw your blood now and confirm." Sam backed away.

"No...No you can't!"

Eztli was walking out south of Lavender Town. She had recalled Zolin to his pokeball, and proceeded down a huge route. It was a series of boardwalks with a few intersections leading off. She stopped at one. A huge pokemon was blocking her path.

"A Snorlax..." she said to herself. Well how was she supposed to get to Fuschia now? She thought about having both Xipil and Zolin attacking the Snorlax, but something told her that wasn't a smart idea. She sat before the Snorlax, gazing for awhile. She reached out and rubbed it's belly. It was bouncy and soft. 'Hmm....I wonder if I can climb over it?' She was athletic, and enjoyed competing in track and field events. She got up, and backed up. 'This is so odd,' she thought to herself, then got a running start and launched upwards. She landed on it's belly, but started sliding. She gripped it's short fur, and tried to pull herself upwards. She struggled around, flailing her feet as they found no purchase. She fell backwards, and landed hard on the land below her. The wind was knocked out of her, and she lay there for a moment. She blinked a few times. A handsome young man was standing over her.

"Hello there. Do you need some help?" He offered a hand, and helped Eztli up. She breathed a couple of times, then laughed.

"Yes, I suppose I could use your help. Do you know how to move this Snorlax?" He chuckled, and removed a flute. He put it to his lips and began to play. A beautiful melody came from it, and the Snorlax's ears twitched. It stretched and yawned.

"Snoooooorrrr...." It rolled over away from them, and the man played louder. It's ears twitched again and it sat up. It got to it's feet and lumbered down the route to their right, to find a new place to nap. Sam turned to the man.

"Thank you very much. My name is Eztli Malinal. What's yours?"

"Mine is Jeremiah H- Malinal?" His eyes gleamed. "Are you heading to Fuschia?"

"Yes I am," Eztli said warily.

"I knew it. You're Mixcoatl's sister aren't you?"

"You know Mix?"

"I used to, many years ago when he first returned to Fuschia. I haven't seen him in awhile." Eztli looked stunned.

"So he did come back here? Is he alive? What about my father?" Jeremiah shrugged.

"I'm not sure. I have to go down this Route here, so I wish you luck on finding your brother. Tell him I said Hi alright?"

"I will." She grinned and waved good-bye.

He started to undue his bandages, it hurt like hell because the bandages were sticking to his wound. He shook his head, sighing as he thought about her words. She wasn't going to stop anytime soon, and she did take the first aid away from him. He could tell from her voice and the look she gave him that she was serious, it was just easier to go along with it. "...I don't really have a choice. Heh, you're pretty troublesome sometimes, you know that?" He smirked a little and extended his arm out for her to help change the bandages. "It doesn't matter if you think less of me or not, because I will. It's not about ego. It's about becoming stronger, and no one is going to get any stronger if they depend on other people." Crenu was a pretty proud guy, and still wasn't willing to actually ask for help unless he absolutely had to. But he decided not to think about it, and change focus to something else, because she was here now and that was that. "Might as well get a badge while you wait right? I believe the gym leader here goes by Surge, and is an electric type trainer. Your Corphish might want to sit this one out. Then again, she could give you an unexpected trump card if you use her right. But that's up to you. Good luck."

"Celedon? Really? My how curious! We just came from Celadon, Crenu had a battle with Erika just this morning! Ah ha ha ha ha, how nice! Well good luck with your challenge, Erika's pretty tough. Ah but I'm sure you'll be fine." He said grinning as he took one last glance at Riza, both of them were gone now. "Yeah, odd ones indeed. Ah but they're good kinds. Well, I don't really know Riza but she seemed nice. Not sure how her playfulness will affect Mr. Serious, but I'm sure they'll be fine. He he he. Ah well. So what do we do while the tykes are gone? Oh I know, you and I can have a little warm up if you'd like. My pokemon are pretty tough you know, we can have lots of fun! Or we can maybe go shopping instead. Maybe I can even get you an outfit as glamorous as mine! Well not as glamorous, I mean mean this is a one of a kind. Made it myself." Ken spun around real quick, his shimmering cape making quite a show.

At Kasiya's last question Dante just shook his head sighed. "Hmm I do have to do my job over there, which is why I am going. I probably won't be spending a lot of time there. More things to do here. It is more of a formal greeting then anything else, they all already accepted me." The way Dante said it was pretty nonchalant, then again he never really got excited about anything and he had seen a lot since he accepted his new job. Reaching into his bag he recalled Xanon and as an after thought he put Turn A away as well. "Well you can go to Sinnoh or not it is your decision. However while it may seem like everyone is going there now its only going to get more and more full of people. You might as well enjoy it now while it is still the Sinnoh it has been for so long." Dante spared Kasiya a grin before turning his attention back to some of the battles going on. Truth be told not a lot of them were really interesting. Most people were using their Porygon's and while Dante was planning on using Turn A next at least he had taught his pokemon a few new moves.

"Dante your next battle will be on field 3! Ron your next battle will be on field 3!" The announcer shouted out into the crowd.

"Well looks like I am into round two. You don't have to watch if you don't want to, however when I win my Up-Grade then I will need a trading partner so Turn A can evolve." Giving her a slight grin once more Dante made his way over to field 3 where his next opponent was waiting for him.

"Don't think I will be as easy as the last person you went up against. I actually know about pokemon, so let's get this battle started. Let's show them who's boss Farfetche'd!" The bird appeared with a the strange leek under his wing.

All Dante did was raise his eyebrow at the other's claims and when he sent out the strange flying type. "Hn." Was all he said as he released Turn A onto the field. "I might be using a Porygon like many of the others here but don't think that Turn A is like the others." Was all Dante said as the battle started.

“574, 575, 576… Tyrogue are you keeping up?” The two had been going at it for about fifteen minutes until the young man noticed his buddy was off beat. “Tyrogue, I know your sore, but you gotta keep..." There was a slight pause in his voice as he turned towards Lee. "Well then... it seems we have a visitor!" Maxi stopped and took a seat on the warm earth. A Breloom was staring at the two with a good amount of interest in his eyes. Lee seemed to notice the pokemon’s presence earlier than Maxi, but made no sudden moves. Lee’s eyes were locked onto the mushroom-looking pokemon with a hint of stress on his small face. This one is strong… very strong yet I feel calm around him. We must be careful not to alarm it. I don’t think I or master can face it, but if it leads to it then… Lee lost his concentration as he saw Maxi slowly approaching the Breloom. The scuffle pokemon face-palmed and began to scurry after the foolish boy catching up almost immediately. Maxi looked like a child seeing snow for the first time. His eyes were locked onto the Breloom and he began to circle it in curiousity. It looks so cute, but out of element. How in the Hell did it get over here? I know it can’t have swum here and I certainly know it couldn’t have flown here so… He must belong to a trainer!!! The young boy’s eyes widen in joy for a moment, but then his face had a gloomy tone.

Could it be master? I know he is not the type to have a pokemon like this, but he is always ever changing. It could be him though… it's very strong. I am positive. Maxi thought for a moment then realized that the guest was interested in him and Lee. He didn’t know if the pokemon would understand him well, but he gave it a try. “Hey! It seems you have some interest in our training session. What is a pokemon like you doing out on Mt. Ember?” Maxi sat down before the pokemon and waited for its answer. Lee was putting on his mantle as his master began to question the visitor. The tyrogue couldn’t put his finger on it, but it seemed as if the Breloom had some worries on his mind. No matter. As long, as it did not harm his master he did not mind its presence. Though he had to admit it was good to see a new face around. Lee was hoping that this visitor would be of the kind sorts. The scuffle pokemon fixed the mantle on him to look a bit more intact than it was and waited for the new arrival’s answer.

Portabello remained silent as the boy walked over and examined him like some sort of idol. Astonishment and curiosity were rampant in the boy's gaze. It reminded him of his master in days past. The Pokemon beside him however, looked restless; most likely being protective of his trainer. It was a sentiment he understood too well. The Breloom raised his hands and bowed, tipping his mushroom cap to his new acquaintances in a gesture of respect. Greetings. he began, his calm voice echoing through their minds like a gentle verse of poetry. My name is Portabello, and no I do not belong to your master. I serve another, one who I regret to say is not well at the moment. In an act of guilt he has sealed himself away in this cavern, and as his protector I have taken the duty of surveying the area to make sure it is safe. Tell me, are you familiar with the layout of this volcano? Any information would be highly appreciated. The Breloom, whose face was normally stoic and expressionless, was instead quite shaken. He hoped the boy would be of some use.

The young black belt took a step back as a calm voice began to speak in his head. This voice has never been here before... it must be the Breloom. Maxi took a deep breath and relaxed. He has done enough studies to know that a handful of pokemon are able to communicate to humans in interesting ways such as this. He couldn't believe one was actually talking to him though. Lee on the other hand was still cautious of the pokemon, though he was a bit more relaxed now that it stated its intentions. His trainer sealed himself here? He must of done some terrible things... or terrible things have been done to him. Either way, this Portabello doesn't seem like he will do us harm. The tyrogue did a small bow though his eyes were still locked onto the Breloom. Though the tiny fighter was relaxed, he made sure not to relax too much. Maxi watched his buddy bow and gave a big smile, then turned to Portabello. "Well, I have been here for five years so I am pretty familiar with the layout." The trainer paused to take a breath and continued. "It is not confusing for the most part. Mt. Ember seems to be pretty straightforward in terms of getting to the summit. The pokemon are surprising kind here for the most part though there is always the random encounter with a jerk from time to time. There is suppose to be a legendary pokemon who lives at the top of the summit, but in my five years I have never seen it..." Maxi continued to map out the mountain and began to draw a small map on the ground as Lee ran into their stone home to retrieve food for the new guess. The scuffle pokemon came running back with two sticks of meat and some pokeblocks that master had in his bag and placed it on plate which he put on the ground.

Maxi looked towards Lee and smiled. "It seems that the Lee likes you already. That is something new, then again we have been by ourselves this whole time. Company is never bad." Maxi paused again and then remembered what he wanted to mention. "Is your protectee okay? Does he need assistance? Cause we can help." Maxi, in truth, did not want to make too much contact with people, but it sounded like this trainer is in a stressful situation. I should help Portabelllo's trainer. He sounds like he needs the assist. Maxi rose from the ground and looked into the eyes of the Breloom. "I know we have only met for like five minutes, but do you want us to come up and aid your friend?" Lee jumped up to the left shoulder of his master and waited for the response from the mushroom pokemon.

Portabello listened intently as Maxi spoke, taking note of the boy's surface thoughts while he outlined the layout of the volcano. There would be an occasional mental image regarding specific locations; the Breloom making sure to file those away for later use. He raised an eyebrow at the mention of a Legendary Pokemon, his natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge causing his mind to wander for the briefest of moments. His attention returned to the crudely drawn map on the floor, which, despite its hasty design, would prove quite useful. I see, remarked the Breloom as Maxi continued his description, eying both the boy and the drawing intently.

The honorable Pokemon accepted the food graciously, waiting until the others had begun to eat before enjoying his own meal. Food enjoyed in good company had a particular taste to it, a subtle sweetness. Portabello quite enjoyed the hospitality, as it had been some time since he had eaten last due to the state of his master. When the topic of Mike came up, the Pokemon looked to the ground in shame. I fear he is not. he replied sullenly. He has been dealt a cruel hand in life, his own selfless nature getting the best of him. I will not indulge in specifics, as it is not my place. But I warn you, he looked into the boy's eyes. While I will be forever loyal to my master, and hold only the deepest feelings of respect for him, I cannot ignore how dangerous he in his current state. Though I'm sure he shares my appreciation for your kind offer. Portabello placed a claw on his chin in thought. Perhaps this boy, a recluse of sorts, could be an ally in his master's plight? No, it was too dangerous. He couldn't lead this young man into the den of madness. I cannot. It is simply not safe. I do mean to speak ill of your prowess as a trainer, but you are no match for my master. He once again hung his head, the weight of Mike's hardships riding on his shoulders as if they were his own.

With a growl, Pan got up to his feet, rubbing at the scratches on his belly as though it would make them go away. He didn't have any time to sit around, however, as the girl had issued another command and once again her Kecleon was on the attack. It's long tongue shot out towards the Treecko but this time Pan was ready for it. He crouched down, waiting for the right moment before he sprang back, avoiding the Kecleon's sticky tongue with ease. He glanced over his shoulder at where he knew his new trainer was resting. He wasn't so sure he could get out of this on his own. The gecko Pokemon jumped back again, lithely flipping his body so that he had a large head start on the Kecleon, and he was quite easily faster than it was. Pan dashed across the grass, his feet making no nose before he jumped again, this time somersaulting over the back of the bench and landing with a surprisingly sound thud on Keegan's stomach.

The redhead gasped and lurched up, reflexively grabbing whatever had just jumped on him, and as he tried to regain his composure he eyed the Treecko. "Pan, what are you doing out of your Pokeball?" he asked. Pan just grinned at him and pointed off behind them, and now Keegan saw the girl and her Kecleon coming towards them.

"Hey you! Guy! Don't let that Treecko get away, I'm trying to catch it!" she called.

Keegan narrowed his eyes at the girl and stood up, still holding onto Pan. "Sorry, but you're out of luck on this one," he told her as he set the gecko Pokemon down on the bench, "but this Treecko happens to belong to me."

"Aww, no way," the girl pouted, coming to a stop just a few feet away. "Figures, though. I never have any luck when it comes to that sort of thing."

The redhead snorted. "You and me both, Sweetheart."

She looked down at her Kecleon, and then back up at Keegan again. "Well, even though I can't capture your Treecko, I'd still like to battle it, with my Leon, of course. That is, if it's all right with you."

Keegan looked down at Pan, who nodded eagerly. After that surprise attack earlier, it'd be nice to get in some payback. "Fine, you're on," he said finally. "Pan, let's make this one quick."

"Sparkle, do it again," Miharu said with a quick nod, eyes still locked on her Pidgeotto. "Aska, I hope your paying attention this time," she added, calling up to the bird. Aska replied with an indignant squawk, glaring down at her trainer as the Flaaffy prepared to launch another jolt of electricity at her. Sparkle's tail flashed brightly as she released the blue current from her body, and Miharu could tell that it was quite stronger than the last one. It lit up the sky as it arched towards Aska, but she didn't feel like getting hit a second time. Another screech escaped the bird's throat as she pushed herself higher with a few flaps of her wings, and she allowed her muscles to relax for a split second before she sped forward, completely avoiding the oncoming Thundershock with a burst of speed.

I guess Aska's learned how to use Agility, Miharu thought, watching the Pidgeotto easily maneuver herself out of harm's way. It really wasn't all that surprising, especially considering all the training they'd been doing lately. The bird Pokemon crowed loudly before she began to whip up a small whirlwind, sending a Gust attack at Sparkle. The Flaaffy growled and held her ground as the wind tore at her, her resistance to flying type attacks a great asset at the moment. "Try a Thunderbolt now," the girl said. The Flaaffy planted her feet firmly on the ground, already generating a stronger burst of electrical energy than before. She let it fly, though her aim was quite off and Aska barely had to move so much as a feather to avoid it. Hmm, looks like we need to work on her accuracy, Miharu thought.

After their battle, Teagan and Will went down to the beach to collect themselves and rest. They sat down next to each other, Will pulled his knees to his chest nervously and skipped rocks out at the water. Charlie stumbled up to his left, tripped over his own hair, and collapsed clumsily into the sand. Will looked down and briefly cracked a smirk, "You did well little guy. You really came through for me." Charlie looked up at him with an outstandingly blank stare, his small beady eyes partially obscured by the mop of hair that consumes the rest of his figure. Will couldn't help but let out a laugh. The small, possibly retarded fur ball was growing on him.

"We'd better get him to the poke center," Teagan said, noticing their interaction, "he took a pretty sizable hit back there."
Will nodded and looked back at Charlie, immediately noticing his tongue hanging out down past knots of hair.
"Yeah," Will agreed, "That's probably best."

The bug collector released his second Pokémon and boy was it a big one. A large brown beetle with two prominent horns on the top of it head came out and stamped one of its large feet on the ground. Eraku immediately recognized this as a Pinsir and knew this would be a new challenge for him. “All right time to not pull any punches it’s your turn now Vlad!” the boy said looking towards his scyther giving it an encouraging grin. The Scyther stepped forward and slashed the air twice with its mighty claws. “Finally a worthy challenge!” scyther thought to himself. “Now you will see the real power of a bug pokemon! Charge Pinsir!” the collector cried as his pokemon moved into attack range.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:48 pm

“Alright Pinsir Focus your energy and get ready to strike!” the collector said as he pushed his glasses back up his nose. The pinsir dug his feet into the ground and took a stance that made it look as though the Pinsir was waiting for the right moment to strike and make his hit count. “Vlad let’s get this done with! Use quick attack!” Eraku cried. Vlad gave a cry and in an instant he was a green blur moving at incredible speeds towards the beetle. With a quick dashing slash of his claw Vlad landed a blow at the waist of his opponent. However, despite the fact that it was a clear hit the Pinsir appeared to shake it off relatively quickly and returned to its intense stare down at Vlad.

“Alright Pinsir use Vice Grip!” the collector yelled to his champion. As soon as Vlad came back around for another slash Pinsir grabbed Vlad with his massive horns and put the squeeze on Vlad. The scyther looked a bit uncomfortable in the tight squeeze but was quickly able to break out of the grip and regained his footing.

Kasiya nodded along, listening to Dante. He did have a point, and if he as well as most of her friends were going, why shouldn't she enjoy it with them? Her mind drifted back to what Keegan had asked her, and she frowned a bit. If he wanted to be a sourpuss and stay behind then that was his business, not hers. And besides, it wasn't like she was going to Sinnoh indefinitely, for she still needed to earn her Volcano and Earth badges. She followed her tall, auburn-haired friend as his next match would be on field number three, grinning. "I like watching my friends battle," she told him, though she wasn't sure what he meant by evolve. An Up-Grade makes Porygon evolve? she thought, now checking her PokeDex. If so that would explain as to why everyone here has a Porygon. It didn't take long for her to find the entry on the Virtual Pokemon, and sure enough, if it were to be given the Up-Grade and then traded, it would evolve into Porygon2. "That's so cool," she said. Looks like it can evolve a second time though, into something called Porygon-Z. I wonder if Dante knows? she thought as the two trainers sent out their Pokemon. Admittedly, Kasiya didn't know too much about Porygon, but she'd battled a few Farfetch'd before so she was quite familiar with them. "Take him to school, Dante!" she cheered. Nova cheered too, clapping her hands as another battle was about to begin. As much as she liked to watch these fights, she couldn't hep but wish she could have a battle, too!

The young Charmander would soon get her wish, however, as before Dante or that Ron kid could even utter their first order, Kasiya felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to see a girl, probably about her age standing behind her, holding a small, dragon-like Pokemon in her arms, and Kasiya immediately recognized it as a Bagon - Jaeshan had gotten one from the Cherry Blossom Festival. "Hey there," the girl said, giving a polite bow. "I couldn't help but notice your adorable Charmander, and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind having her battle against my little Bagon. My name's Christina, and this little guy's name is Ryu."

"I'm Kasiya, and this is Nova," Kasiya replied, shaking the girl's hand. "I think we're up for a battle!"

"Chaaar!" Nova cried excitedly, jumping down from Kasiya's head. She balled up her fists and hopped up and down, very much eager to fight.

"Excellent," Christina said, also setting her Bagon down. "Let's step back a bit so we don't interfere with the Up-Grade Tournament."

"Good idea," Kasiya nodded, and the two girls did just that, taking a position away from the fields, though they could still see Dante's battle. "Okay Nova, let's make this a good one!" Kasiya said, and Nova stepped forward, wearing a toothy grin.

"Give it your all, Ryu!" Christina said, and the little Bagon trotted forward. The two young Pokemon eyed each other carefully, both waiting for their first command.

Jaeshan chuckled, and looked over his shoulder in the direction Riza and Crenu had gone. "If anyone can loosen that guy up, I bet Riza can," he commented. He looked back at Kenneth when he mentioned a battle, and grinned. The idea of testing his mettle against an accomplished Pokemon Coordinator like Ken, watching the man spin around. He couldn't imagine himself dressed up like that, glittering cape and all. "Uh, thanks, but I think I'll pass on that last offer," he said, running his hand through his unruly blonde hair before giving a nervous laugh. "Though a warm-up sure seems like fun, I'd like to see how well my Pokemon fare against yours."

"Aww, you sure? Cause I've already got a look in mind for you and I think it's just fabulous! It would go great with a nice cane, adorned with...hmm...ah! Adorned with an elegant Vulpix! Oh so cool! But I understand, not everyone can commit to this level of glamor. A battle it is then." He said still smiling, this was also very fun. As much as he liked fashion, battles were up there on his list. He reached into his bag and pulled out a pokeball. "Ah here we are, let's go Seviper!" Ken twirled around once before throwing the ball out in front of him, letting the Fang Snake pokemon take shape. Seviper hissed happily as she was released, coiling herself around Ken's legs. "Hi honey! And how is my lovely serpent doing today? Aren't you a good girl, yes you are! Seviper honey, this is Jaeshan, we're gonna do a bit of warming up with him today ok? But this isn't a contest battle so you don't have to worry about that extra pizazz ok? But don't cut back to much, we've still gotta look totally fab right?" He added with a wink, and Seviper happily nodded. She unwrapped herself from him and slithered over to the battle field, happily ready to battle. "Alright, my girl's ready for a fight! Choose wisely Jae, my pokemon are tough. But then again, I just know you're Squirtle and Kakuna are the tip of the ice burg."

"Aw merde!" Sasha cursed through grit teeth, turning her bike around so harshly she nearly flipped over. "I forgot my extra clothes at the Pokemon Center!" She had thrown her suit and old clothes in the wash after the party and totally just left them in the dryer. No Jennings would go out without a single change of clothes. Not to mention, the suit was too cute to just leave; even if she could just buy another one. The girl rocketed back down towards Fuschia, ready to run Maz right the hell over should his stupid-a** face even look her way.

Knuckles white with determination, Sasha raced through the checkpoint and in a cloud of dust and pink hair was at her destination. The doors of the Pokemon Center burst open as she strut in, her body a tapestry of dirt and mud telling the story of her day. Luckily for the girl, her clothes remained safe, clean, and ripe with the smell of dryer sheets. As she reached for them the grime on her hands practically screamed "WASH ME!" and the girl recoiled in horror, aghast that she could have gone out in public in such poor hygiene.

Sasha hurried to the thankfully empty bathroom and quickly disrobed, throwing her dirt-ridden outfit in the wash, and jumping into the shower stall. Scoffing at the horrendously generic soaps and shampoos offered by the Center, she instead produced a bottle of scented shampoo of her own. She wouldn't be caught dead smelling anything less than perfect. Following twenty or so minutes of scrubbing and scraping in a crazed attempt at getting whatever musty stink that boy might have rubbed off on her, she exited the stall, her purity renewed and her dignity refueled. Pink brush in hand, Sasha began the half-hour routine of combing her hair. When it was all said and done, the girl emerged from the Pokemon Center looking her very best.
