Elistral regained her balance slowly, hovering in mid air. She slowly winged her way up to the invisible platform, reflecting on what had all been done. The world had been broken and now was fixed. Lives had been completely turned around to face the other way. Nothing would be the same for a while, or for some years to come, she thought.

Rore stepped away from crow and pulled his sword out, averting his eyes. He did not want to see what he had done.
Crow touched his stomach softly, then harder when he felt no pain nor saw any blood. He lifted his sihrt but saw no wound from where the sword had stabbed through him. His gasp of surprise brought the other man's eyes up. Rore was amazed that Crow wasn't harmed. He felt relief come over him as he realized that he hadn't killed anyone. He heard a voice beside and looked down, his eyes widening when he saw his smiling daughter looking up at him. He dropped his sword and grabbed her in a hug, which beacme protective when he noticed that the people who were his enemies were suddenly alive. He didn't want anyone to harm her.

Fenrir sat up and held the pieces of his broken watch up to his eyes. It hadn't been a device created by Fate, it had been his father's favorite possession. It had been with Fenrir long enough for it to be almost a part of him. But now it was broken, just bits and pieces of bright colored gold and gears. Nothing was particularly significant about it at all. Any doubts that he'd had about his friend being angry at him for letting Darkness control his body were gone. And although he was glad for Strider and everyone else, he felt removed from it all, as he always had been from the beginning. "It will never truly be over." He stood and turned to regard Strider with sad eyes. As he spoke flickers of violet light that had been floating down swirled around to form a loose ball of a wisp. "I'm only told what I have to be told, it's a curse, but yes, I know what happens next." Below, around Mal's palace, a white mist flowed along the ground. In a flash, the world and everyone that had perished was whole again, including those that had died. There was a temporary peace on that world, so none of them could fight the other or kill. The green grass of the plains and distant trees were back again as though they'd never been gone, and Mal's palace took on a dull gray color instead of obsidian. He gestured down to the ground and to the portal. "Enjoy your victory my friend, you've earned it well." He stood forlornly, not belonging, and gazed down at his broken watch and the celebrating people below.

"The world I had set out to save no longer needs me. Fenrir. The battle is over and i'm happy to tell you Fenrir that your free." -Strider looked at Fenrir's watch then at Fenrir. Strider went over and put his hand on the watch and a light shone from it as it was repaired- "Go my old friend you to have earned something. You have earned your life. I just ask one request of you. Watch over my daughter. Keep her safe." -Strider put his hand on Fenrir's shoulder and a sort of barrier was lifted from Fenrir- "Go. Live for once." -Strider then went over to his daughter and hugged her- "Thank you for being with me what little time you were. I know you may not understand any of this but you will have Jake and Demios to help you figure it all out." -Strider released her and started to walk to the edge when Jake and Demios came through the portal and Jake ran to him-

"Strider you did it. It's all over. Peace has returned to the world. Well for now." -Jake smiled widely at Strider- "Now come on. Lets get out of here. I'm getting a little hungry." -Jake and Demios went to leave but turned and looked at Strider when he didn't follow-

"I'm sorry my friends but we set out to save the planet so that everyone could live peacefully...but not me." -Strider had a look on his face that looked like he hoped Jake would understand-

"What do you mean but not for you?" -Jake thought he knew what Strider meant but he didn't want to believe it- "Your comeing back with us. Everyone wants to throw a party in your name. I remember thats what you would always said was the ending you wanted."

"I know but I can't. I'm afraid that I have to go." -Strider summoned his staff and handed it to Jake- "It's your job to save the world now my young apprentice. My young friend." -Strider's armor and crown disappeared and his wings vanished. Strider took off his shades and handed them to Jake as well- "Go my friend. Use your powers to make sure all of our hard work is not all in vain. Make sure the world shall always know peace." -Strider took a few steps forward then turned to face the edge then ran and finally jumpped. He spoke to Elistral through his mind: "Goodbye my daughter. Let the world know my story and let my name live on and inspire those who are oppresed to stand against tyrany. Let them know hope."-

-Reaper had been regenerated and had rushed outside just in time to see Strider jump. Then the other three joined him. Then they began to disappear one by one until Reaper remained- "Goodbye Strider. I'll see you on the other side." -Reaper gave a slight two finger salute and then disappeared himself-

-Jake watched as Strider jumped and ran to the edge watching him fall-

-Demios came to the edge- "There he goes. I don't think it a good idea to stick around. If Mal did that explosion with just his soul i'd hate to see the fireworks Strider makes in that thing. Come on." -He was about to go but stopped- "Goodbye Strider. You were my oldest and greatest friend." -Then he turned and left with Jake on his shoulder not wanting to leave-

-Strider had finally did it. He finally could find peace- "My past I am not proud of. My present I did not choose. My future...is as mysterious as my beggining." -The he hit the Storm and a chain reaction began makeing the storm spin shooting energy everywhere. Shakeing the invisible platform-

Elistral felt her power go away and knew that it had only been temporary. She didn't mind that. A sad feeling came over her when her friend, her father, hugged her and jumped down into the maelstrom below. Hearing his voice in her head, she nodded sadly and left through the portal, not even noticing the man from before. She headed up the stairs, through the throne room and out into the now grassy field. Maybe she'd learn to play the lute. She'd always been fond of staying as a traveling bard.

Rore slowly put his daughter down again as they faded from sight, relived that she wouldn't be in danger.

Verin pried himself away from Rore's wife, glancing around in awe. "Now what?" He asked out loud.

Elistral came to stand by Verin and the others. "Now we go back to Salim, it still needs to be rebuilt." She smiled, glad that her father had found peace. "I'll oversee everything gets ready."

Fenrir was used to that kind of thing though, he didn't mind. He stood there alone on the invisible platform, comfortable even though it was shaking. Though Strider had freed him, he had only given him a little bit of freedom, but it was more freedom than he'd ever had. He'd always be the little errand boy for Fate, and if not for Fate, then for Death or some other force. He was tied to it like a cow to a picket, until he'd be sent to his own peace. He thought about that for a moment. Even if he was freed, he knew that he probably wouldn't be happy anyway. Standing by and watching the world burn and grow. That was all he knew, but he figured that Strider didn't need to know that when he went to find his deserved peace. He looked down at his repaired watch and smiled. Maybe he would take a small vacation. He had a good friend that could help Mal's soul be fixed, as broken as it was, and maybe Strider's. But then he'd give those two back to Fate, to be whole again. Besides, he wanted to visit someone in the land of the dead. It'd been so long since he'd had a rest, if only it was a short one. He'd deal with Fate's complaints later. He laughed to himself, his uncharacteristic depressing mood gone in an instant. He snapped his fingers, calling any bit that would be left of Strider's soul to find him in the land of the dead.

-Demios had followed Elistral- "I have an entire kingdom to rebuild but i'll spare as many of my architects and workers as I can."

-Jake looked at the castle- "I'm going to set up shop here and rebuild Strider's library in this place. Unlike you Elistral I can still use magic." -Jake looked at everyone and their happy faces and Jake cast a spell that cast his voice across the entire valley- "May I please have your attention." -Everyone looked in the direction of Jake- "This world that we all inhabit has gone through many phases and periods through out it's history. But I think that this phase in our history has signifigant meaning for without the help of one person, one man, this may have been our last. His name...was Strider. He was not just a gaurdian but he was a guide, he was a friend, and he was a father. Not once did he think just of himself and he never put his life before anyone elses, not even his own enemies. His life may have ended but in this ending is also a new beggining. A new age of our world. Our terrain and wild life may have been refreshed but our towns and kingdoms have not. So here I shall build a a monument to the man who brought us into this new era. This monument shall read this: His name was Strider and he gave his life to give us hope. Now I believe that someone very important to Strider deserves to speak." -Jake turned to Elistral and motioned for her to take the stage-

-Fate chuckled- "I'm afraid that the souls of Azeois and Mal shall not be here Fenrir. The souls of any of the gods shall not be found here. There is much that I have kept from you but now is the time for you to know. Desdion, Raven, Vera, Mal, Azeois, Sophia, and Kain are much, much more than just gods. For their story began before even they were created here in this universe." -A picture of one being turned into seven- "You probably don't remember me speaking to you about how when each god has finally died or was forgotten that their souls would come together to me? Well that wasn't a complete truth they don't come together to me. Instead they come together within a place seperated from existance, sperated even from time, and sperated even from me. In this place they come together to form a being known only by them as One. It is also in this place that the entire history of a new universe is planned by something known to the gods as The Calling."

Elistral nodded and stepped up beside Jake. She was unsure of what to say, but she decided that it didn't matter to thepeople who were milling around aimlessly. "These past few days have been something meaningful to all of us. Whether it meant alliances, or just survival, nothing may be the same again. Time heals all wounds, and plenty of time will have to pass for this event to be spoken of lightly, before a warm fire as a story." She fingered her leaf brooch, lost in thought. "I'm sure that we can rebuild what has been lost. A temporary peace has been bestowed on this world, and we must do everything we can before it ends. Though it saddens me to bring this to light, it cannot last forever. Have hope."

Verin stood beside Rore, his daughter, and wife, listening. All of this was hard to take in. Demons, planet destroying spells, relatives... He grunted to himself and crossed his arms over his chest, the sun reflecting light off his watch.

Rore held his daughter's hand and his wife came to stand by him. He wrapped one arm around her as she rested her head on his shoulder. "I'm so glad you're alright." He muttered to her, low enough to not disturb Elistral's speaking. She nodded, agreeing and closed her eyes, a smile on her face.

"Bah, you're always ruining a man's contemplations, aren't you?" Fenrir spoke aloud, feigning annoyance though he had an amused smile on his face. "Of course that wasn't the complete truth, that was a half-truth." He thought for a moment, poking the wisp, now a ball of energy as he'd found out. "Hm, 'The Calling'..."I'm guessing that this is a big thing, even to you, huh? How much more influence does it have on everything than you, or is this 'One' equal to you? Don't tell me you're part of it."

-Jake just stood there and nodded as Elistral spoke. Jake was thinking back to what Strider had said a long time ago. He had told him of Fate and it's plan but was this Fate's plan? Jake didn't know-

-Demios was standing behind Jake and listened intently on Elistral but he was looking up to where the clouds had disappeared-

-Fate chuckled again- "Oh yes The Calling is very big and One isn't just my equal he is my superior. One is the ultimate being. No force in existance can amount to One's power. Now as for being a part of it, well you could say that everyone is a part of it. For you see Fenrir, The Calling is what decides the course of the history of all of the universe. I am just a force set in motion to make sure this plan is upheld. Now The Calling is what mortals would call a sort of...game. Now a game wouldn't be very helpful to a single being that is why One is only brought into being once the winner of The Calling is decided and the winner becomes one and creates a new universe. The Calling has three parts. The first is a kind of tounament of a seven way chess game. The second is the two who had the most wins would play a game much like a game on Earth. I believe you've heard of Dungeons and Dragons correct? Well it is much like that except it incorperates parts of chess. Like you start out with a certain number of peices like a knight, a bishop, a rook, a king, and a queen. Though they have different names it's much the same. The third and finalpart is the actual makeing and playing out of the new universe. It is very confuseing I know but do you understand? Though one thing I do not know is where The Calling is held. But i'm sure where ever Strider is. He has found peace."

-Strider awoke in a white circlular room with one door. He was laying in a bed under a blood red blanket. He took it off and noticed he was wearing something different than what he was before. He was wearing a black trench coat with white trim. He was still wearing his black pants and combat boots but his gloves were white and he could see some of his hair and it was white not brown like his hair was supposed to be. Then he noticed something really stange his left eye was metalic and hard but he could still see out of it- "What's going on here?" -He quickly covered his mouth because the voice wasn't his- "What? This isn't my body?" -Then a girl entered through the door-

"Oh yay. Your finally awake. Come on the others are gonna want to see ya." -The girl left not shutting the door behind her-

-Strider got up and started to hear voices and laughter. He decided that if they had wanted to hurt him they would have so he slowly exited the door seeing a long white marble corridor with many coloums. He walked a few steps and saw another room where the voices were comeing from. He took another few steps and entered the room where two guys were playing cards-

"Hey. There he is. t's about time you woke up. Yo Al! He's awake!" -One of the three guys called to someone out of view-

-The one named Al came out of another doorway- "Hey. How's it going brother?" -He came over and patted Strider on the shoulder- "Oh wait you don't remember anything yet do you?"

-Strider shook his head- "Not at all."

"Well thats normal. Ok let me explain a bit. I am your brother not only here but in the past as well like do you remember Kain?" -Al looked at Strider-

"Yes. He was my younger brother. Wait don't tell me your?" -Strider was getting what he was saying-

"Yup. And the three over there are Desdion. He's the one in the white his actual name is Nick. The other is Raven his name is Byrd. Now follow me. Now your Azeois but your true nameis Chris and your my biological brother." -Al went through the door he came through and the girl from before and another girl were sitting at a table-

"Oh hey Chris." -The girl Strider didn't know waved at him-

"Ok that is Vera her real name is Rayne. The other girl is Sophia and her real name is Ciaran." -Al went and sat down in an empty chair-

"Ok well then what about Mal?" -Strider or rather Chris leaned against the door frame-

"Oh him? He should be in the throne room. It's through there." -Al pointed towards another doorway-

-Strider walked towards the doorway and went though it. Through it was a large field and a single tree and under that tree was a throne of gold and sitting in that throne was a man. Strider guessed it was Mal- "So This is where we go when we all die huh?"

-Mal opened his eyes to see Chris or Strider- "Yup. This is where it begins and where it ends. Now seeing how you don't remember and I do let me tell you that my real name is Kamon. In our mortal lives we were friends and enemies. Just like it was when we were Mal and Strider. Only difference is that you won this time." -Kamon stood up and stepped aside- "Now this is your chair."

"Why is it my chair? Wouldn't it be the oldests chair like Nick?" -Strider started to come towards the throne-

"No the throne is ment for One." -Kamon waved his hands and a few tables appeared with wine and glasses-

"But I thought that each of us was a part of One." -Chris stopped infront of the throne and wiped it with one of his fingers-

"No actually we are but your going to be One and this throne is for the one who becomes him. It belongs to the one who was the last back here and that was you." -Kamon then poured a glass of wine as the other five came in and Kamon handed the filled glass to Chris-

"So I won so i'm going to become One. Well." -Strider turned and sat down and took his glass as the other got theirs. Chris took a sip of the wine and began to remember so he kept drinking until most of the wine was gone-

"So Chris. You finally won The Calling for the first time. Kind of like you beat me at checkers. Do you have anything to say?" -Kamon took a sip of his wine-

-Chris thought for a moment- "Well. Now that were at the end of things I believe that something new is needed. Thats why i've decided to forfit my spot as One. I withdraw myself from the entire system. Basically I quit." -He raised his glass and took a drink- "You know this place looks familiar to me. I always remember an actual throne room being in here."

"Oh that reminds me." -Nick had snapped his fingers after he had stopped drinking- "Someone who said they knew you came and I told them they could stay here. I think she said this place would be the place you would remember."

-Chris did remember or rather Strider did. Chris got up quickly and looked around for the house that he remembered. He spotted it not to far away. Chris began to run at top speed towards the house. Along the way he slowly began to look like Strider again. Half way there a woman came outside and noticeing who it was she began to run herself. She had silver hair ande blue eyes. They met half way and Strider picked her up and spun her around- "Oh my god I missed you." -Strider began to cry- "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

"Hey. It's ok. I don't blame you. I never did." -She looked Strider in the eyes- "Come on stop crying. I thought I would be the one crying. Now tell me how is she?"

-Strider wiped his face and laughed a little- "She's fine. I made sure of it." -Strider smiled- "She favors you alot." -Strider grabbed her hand and began to lead her away from the house- "Come on it's time that you saw her."

"Where are we going?" -She ran behind him-

-Strider looked back and smiled and opened a portal- "Home. Where else?"

-Jake stepped back as a portal opened right next to him- "Great now what?"

-Strider and Elistral's mother stepped through the portal to be infront of Jake, Demios, and Elistral- "Hey. I'm back."

-Fate stopped talking- "He's back."

((Hahahahaha. Strider returns....oh and what is Elistral's mother's name anyway? O_o))

((Rofl, that's not a bombshell, that's a whole landmine. Rofl again, LoTR reference, Return of the King! Uh, I dunno. I'll make it up though...I was thinkin' Silvia...))

Elistral blinked a few times in amazement, rubbed them, and blinked them again. Turning around, she counted to 3 slowly, and turned back. Her eyes weren't deceiving her, it was her mother and Strider, both back from the dead. "Mother...?" She asked, surprised that her voice sounded so small. It had been well over 100 years since she last remembered seeing her, but she looked exactly the same as in her memories. She took a step closer to the smiling pair before her. "It...can't..." She felt her eyes fill with confused tears and was actually at a loss at what to say. Then she ran forward suddenly and took them both in a tight hug, as if she feared that they'd disappear.

Rore felt a small tug on his arm and, smiling, he lifted his daughter up with one arm, setting her on his hip. "Who're those people?" She asked, looking wide-eyed at the pair that had popped up. Rore followed her gaze to them and the portal behind. "I'm not sure, but they don't look dangerous do they?" His daughter shook her head and kept staring. "Then they must be friends of those people over there." He explained, his own words not making sense to him. Many things that had happened recently didn't make sense to him either. But his daughter didn't seem to mind, as she nodded her head slowly.

Verin was starting to grow sick of random people he didn't know popping up. Instead, he turned to Crow who was standing a little while away. Atleast he was something that wasn't completely random, although his sudden appearance out of the blue was something to figure out. Later though, his mind was still reeling. "So, you're my evil cousin, right...?"

Crow smiled at Verin sincerely. "Yes, you could say I'm evil."

"And, you're not going to kill me now?" Verin raised an eyebrow, wondering that if his ex-priest cousin wanted to kill him, then why didn't he right now?

Crow shrugged with his arms held out from his sides. "I can't really. It hasn't crossed my mind to perform the action of using my rapier to stab you through the heart or anything."

Verin opened his mouth to ask why, then closed it, annoyed. He didn't feel like he wanted to know. He was already out of the loop as it was.

Fenrir nodded to himself silently. "Of course, that one is too stubborn to be laid to rest. Did you think otherwise, Fate?" He shook his head and took a closer inspection of his tattered coat. "Tsk, tsk, this needs to be repaired, doesn't it? I'll have to find a tailor sometime. Or maybe somebody else...I did say I was going on a vacation anyway..." He shook his head again and placed it over an arm. " 'The One'..." he repeated to himself, then shrugged. "Eh, I know something even better than that." His face took on a distant look and he changed the subject again. "Huh, chess...I should learn to play that sometime, I never learned...That'd be fun..."
PostPosted: Thu Feb 11, 2010 6:54 pm

"Oh I almost forgot." -Fate conjoured an envelope infront of Fenrir- "Strider told me to give that to you when the time was right."

"Oh my gosh, Strider! Make up your mind! Are you dead or are you... plphgrrgh." -Demios had covered his mouth-

"What he means is it's nice to have you back." -Jake struggled against Demios-

-Silvia was shocked as she came through the portal and she saw someone who seemed familiar and when she had hugged her so quickly she knew this was her daughter and she hugged her back-

"I'm sorry for doing that. I had to wrap up a few things." -Strider hugged his daughter and wife and for once he felt that the future was bright-

-Jake had come up to Strider- "Ummm. Sorry to interuptt but I think these are yours." -Jake offered up Strider's staff and shades-

-Strider looked at Jake then his family- "No. Not anymore. I've decided to retire and anyway this time i'm not immortal. I'm like an elf now. I still have my magic but this time i'll age along with those I love." -Strider looked at Silvia and smiled- "It's like I told you when we begun our special relationship Jake I want it to be your job to help Fate."

-Jake smiled and replaced the staff and shades back into their miniscuel form and into his pocket- "So now what?"

"Well I don't know about you three but for once...i'm going home and i'm probably going to sleep for a long time." -Strider laughed-

-Silvia smiled at her daughter- "Come home some time and we'll catch up but I think going home sounds nice." -Strider and Silvia both began to shine a white light. Silvia waved and smiled at Elistral and both her and Strider disappeared-

((Alright, I'm gonna miss this RP, though I'm glad it got finished and didn't die...Because it was supported by two people from page 19 1/2...))

Ending Post

Elistral raised her hand to wave back even though they'd already disappeared, then lowered it after a while, staring at the spot where they'd been standing.

Crow took that as his cue to leave, he didn't feel comfortable standing around anymore. His favorite bird had been reborn, along with the others, and it landed on his shoulder. It gave a loud squawk and dug its claws into his shoulder, settling nicely in its perch. "Yes, Zeke," Crow said to the bird, Ezekiel. "We have no more reason to hang around here anymore." He turned away from his cousin Verin and took off, flapping his black wings, following the way the wind was blowing. His crows flew in no particular formation around him, as a group. He had no direction of what he was going to do, but it didn't matter to him. He didn't care right now, about the past or future. Only the present.

Verin watched his cousin leave, a little sad that the blood relative was flying off, even though he wanted to and had tried to kill him. "What now?" He asked.

Elistral rubbed at her eyes, drying them on a glove, and turned around. "Salim is still just rubble, it needs to be rebuilt. Including that nice tavern by the town square, and the fountain. Not to mention the bell tower, the library, and Rore's house, as well."

Rore set his daughter Maria up on the chestnut horse that had come up to the small family, remembering it from its foal years. He held his loving wife Ellen to him for a moment, glad that the adventure was over, for now. "Alright then, to the east it is." He nodded to the east half of the valley, where a trail of people were going up the path.

Verin shook his head and came to stand next to him, pointing south. "No, I'm pretty sure it's that way, big guy."

Now Rore shook his head. "No, I definitely know that it lies in the..." He blanked out for a second. "...north..."

Verin growled angrily and shoved the man in front of him. "I'm telling you, it's in the south! Er...West..."

Rore shoved him back, sending him stumbling back a few steps.

"b*****d!" Verin growled and somehow tackled him to the ground. It was a comical sight, a 17 year old boy wrestling with a man only 7 or 8 years older than him.

Fenrir plucked the letter from the air and opened it, yellow eyes scanning what Strider had written and scoffing to himself at Fate's words. "Almost forgot. How can you almost forget somethi--" He muttered and stopped as quickly as he'd been speaking. Then he fell silent and smiled softly, refolding the letter and putting it back in its envelope after a long moment. "Ah, 'tis the tale of woe that gets told time and time again. Yet there is a thread of rightness in the world." He said for no reason at all, just off the top of his head. He went to put it in his coat pocket, but then thought it would be smarter to put it in his breast pocket rather than the torn thing. Looking down, he clicked his tongue at his still bloodstained clothes, he'd have to change. He flipped his watch open and watched an image play over the surface of the glass before nodding approvingly. His hat was still in good condition, and it settled comfortably on his head. He started to walk off in the whiteness of the space around him, his coat tucked under an arm and the other raised in a wave, calling back behind him, "If Jake needs help, tell him where to find me. I think I deserve a nice "long" rest. You know where to find me." Then he disappeared.

Elistral smiled happily as she watched, at peace on the bright day. It would be maybe a year until the peace broke, she knew. During that time, everyone would fix what had been wrong, and others would plan to stop that. The thought sobered her up a little, and she touched her leaf brooch absently. Then she noticed Rore's young daughter who was sitting on Rore's horse. She was holding a weather beaten journal she found and taken from her father's back pocket, staring wide-eyed at the yellowed pages and scrawled words. A small white feather peeked out from the middle, as well as a soft yellow flower. Elistral began to chuckle lightly, then closed her blue eyes as she laughed harder, happy tears leaking from them, and clutching her stomach. She threw back her head to the warm sun above, laughing as joyously on that day as she had so many years ago as a child.

((Nah, I'd be glad to make a sequel. XD I was thinking that yesterday when this ended, like armies could be built up again to attack people....I still have Crow as an evil guy, and I want to bring in my Gorash character on the evil side....))
