He was about to give upon the machine when a short young girl spoke to him. He would have responded, but she had already left. However, he took her advice and began to look for any slot on the machine. He hoped he didn't dent the money slot. After a minute of searching, he dropped to his knees and banged his head on the machine. But there's no place to put my money...

Charlie looked over to see a familiar person walk towards the lunch line. He recognized her immediately. It was Rayna's friend- Hikaru, he thought it was. He smiled, sliding out of the booth and walking to the lunch line as well, his hands stuffed in his jean pockets. Soon he was right behind her in the line. He tapped her shoulder, smiling. "Hey." she greeted, shoving his hand back in his pocket.

Joy heard an unpleasent clunk, it irritated her, the way the vibrations brushed against her sensitive skin. She whirled around, barely keeping from spilling her drink. She felt rather then heard the man speak, his dispair seemed to melt away her anger.

Instead, the short girl sighed, brushined her black hair away from her blue eyes and marched back to beside him. "You.." Joy began, then finished with a small smirk, "...really are useless arent you." With a huff, Joy shoved her drink in the man's hand and ran over to the bar. With only a slight manipulation of the vibrations around the foot of the stool she managed to break it.

Carrying the metal barstool over, she set it down beside the vending machine and climbed up expertly. Turning her young face to the mister, she frowned and pointed to a slot that with the addition of the stool was level with her hip.

"The money goes there, the prices are listed under the food," Joy went on, while ointing through the clear plastic to the racks and prices. She then tapped on the plastic, pointing to the numbers and letters. "These are the codes you type on these buttons," Once again her arm adjusted to the proper place," And once you push them the food will drop to the bottom, you'll get change and then just stick your hand into the hole and grab the food, got it?" By then there had been a fair bit of irritation laced into her voice, and her blue eyes were giving off a fiercesome glare, whoever said five-year olds couldn't be scary?

"I'm pretty good, thanks. Just wondering what Rayna and Kylie are doing at the moment. And sure." he said, shrugging. He grabbed a tray, looking at it, as if expecting it. He grinned, spinning it in his hands. "Kylie's my younger sister. Just a bit over a year apart. She and Rayna are really close." he stated, smiling. He, too, was close to Rayna.

Hikaru smiled back, grabbing a few pieces of fruit to put on her tray. She grabbed a bunch of pizza, too - cheese and pepperoni - enough for her and Aly to have two or three slices each.

"That must be nice, having friends and relatives already at the school," she said as she moved through the line. "I had to start all over and meet a whole new set of friends after I came here."

Getting to the end of the line, she grabbed two bags of Cheetos, deciding Aly had good choice in snack foods. Finally filling up a couple of sodas, and just going with the neutral cola choice for Aly, Hiko poured herself a Mountain Dew and proceeded on to the register to pay for the food.

"We're just right over here, Charlie," she said, lightly motioning with her tray in the direction of the table she was sitting at earlier. "C'mon over whenever you're ready!"

He was about to mobve to the new machine when the young girl reappeared. Her insult got him angry again, as his eyebrow heavily twitched again. When he recieved the drink from her, the plastic melted in his hand and the drink evaporated even before the plastic was a puddle of it's former solid self on the ground. He watched intently, seeing how she moved and how she broke the stool. Though he was still angry, he could tell of her elemental manipulations. Her grim face did not affect him at all. A cold expression meant nothign after almsot dying from a lack of heat, then being killed by the creature that stole his heat. Useless, huh? He took his left index finger and pointed at the door to recieve the food. Thin, black flames left his finger and crawled into the machine. Using it, he took three of each item withing the machine and let it fall into the hole. Using his free hand, he took out a few items to leave room for some new ones. He looked at the spolis and took what he wanted. Then he spoke to her, while tracing something on the ground. Never judge by appearances. He made a criss-crossed pattern on the floor using some of hios own energy thread. If I did, I would think you had super-strength and think it was impossible because of your age. He cut the edges and filled the gaps with his red fire. Then he wrote a small rune in the middle, which froze his flames into a flexable material. However, with someone who trains with so many other elementalists, i would be a fool to believe that. You are a child of Wind, though your style is very unfamilair. The way youi walk, the way you talk... The aura around you body... He sighed as he placed his items and one of each other item into the bag. He closed it and grabbed the top of it and walked over to the girl. He placed his hand on her head. With that power, and the right teacher, you can be a great assassin. After all, you resemble my assassin friend herself. But... that's for a choice made later in life. Anyways, as a gift, you can have whatever I left. Then he bent low and smiled at her. And for being so damn cute for such a little girl! He flicked her forehead then ran out of the building, hoping to find the first person who helped him, and to escape the possibly angry child.

Hiko smiled a sly sort of smile as she caught Charlie's little momentary slip, but she let it go for the moment. Handing Aly's food to her, she smiled and began digging into her own plate, starting with the pizza first.

"Mmm... this sure is good after a long morning of training!" she exclaimed, reaching for her soda and taking a long swig. "I think I might be ready for heavier weights soon!"

Hiko beamed at her statement, unaware of the fact that most likely no one sitting at the table had any idea what she was talking about. All the same, she looked incredibly pleased with herself.
