Gouki almost broke down back there as the reality of losing Mara hit him crucially hard as the very real possibility of losing Mara became possible. Now Gouki Continued to help Sakura as they all moved onto the hotel.
His mask hid away his face from everyone as they walked. He didn't want to show everyone what he was feeling right now. The mask was the only way he could manage the strength to do what he felt needed to be done.

Sakura would point to the inn they would be staying in. It wasn’t much, but it was better than nothing. She had stayed there before many years ago. It was safe to be. “We’re staying here. This is the safest place in town to rent a room and rest.” Sakura didn’t say much else as she looked at everyone to go in.
Fuu would go to the other side of Sakura to help hold her up as she gave Gouki a nod. She could tell that Sakura was having a hard time staying standing cause of her fever. “Get her inside.”

Mara held Gouki's hand. She walked quietly beside him. This was not the reaction she had expected when they met her mother. Mara looked up at Gouki, "Gouki-chan." She said in a very soft tone, "Are you alright?"
Cho followed them into the inn. She kept close to Kyoji, and Ayaka stayed close to them, but her eyes followed her sister.

Kyoji's face remained the mask of serenity that it usually was, but there was worry behind it. The mask that Gouki had put over his face, reminded Kyoji of his past, and that mask he eventually threw away, but it was hard to. He wanted to tell the boy to either show his feelings, or put a cloak over his entire body, but did not. This would be a hard moment for him, as well as for Cho and likely Ayaka and the other child as well. He kept a comfortable hand on Ayaka's shoulder, and kept his calm.

Ain followed the group, randomly moving from one side to the other, walking with random groups, taking different routes that led to the same place. Night would probably be best to take on that man, anyone else and I would probably die Ain thought watching them go into an inn. He grinned when he saw which one. Perfect, there aren't any other ways out of that inn, so whoever leaves will need a good distraction to avoid me

Ayaka squeezed Kyoji's hand. "You won't leave us well you?" She asked softly. Ayaka felt a feeling that this would not go well. Her nerves squirmed like worms in her stomach.

"No, I will not leave you. I promise you that." Kyoji said to Ayaka. He rubbed her little shoulder comfortingly and smiled softly.

Ayaka stopped walking and hugged Kyoji. She hugged him tightly. "Thank you. I think that within tine tonight my mom will need your company."

Gouki looked down to Mara as they entered the building. He nodded not wanting to worry her.
"Sorry to make you worry Mara. In the end I am sure everything will be alright." Gouki said a little hoarsely as he controlled his emotions as best he could. "We are all going to have a nice talk and everything will be just fine."

“In here.” Sakura would continue to lead the way before finally her fever got to her she needed to rest. She’d sit down in a chair just opposite of where you would have to check in. She needed to cool down a bit as she apologized.
Fuu would rush to Sakura’s aid as she placed a hand on Sakura’s forehead. “She has a fever. We need to get her in bed soon.”

Mara watched Sakura, "May we take her to a room, she can rest while we talk." The child suggested. Mara held onto Gouki tightly. "Will you carry me Gouki?" She asked softly. She had caught the strain in his voice, and it hurt her deeply to see him in pain.

"Sure thing sis. Hop on my back." Gouki said dropping to his knee before her. The fact that he could be of any use at this point made him feel better already. "I would be happy to carry you Mara."
Gouki squeezed Sakura's hand as he helped he continue to the room they were assigned to.

Sakura was grateful to Gouki squeezing her hand as she found the energy to continue to the room from that. It also helped that Fuu was also supporting her so that when she opened the door she allowed them into the room.
Fuu would guide Sakura to the bed so that Sakura could rest. Fuu then would wait for Kyoji, Ayaka, and Cho to come into the room so that they knew which room it was seeing as there was enough beds for everyone to rest in. It appeared to be the largest room in the inn.
Sakura was thankful again as she lay on the bed trying to recover from the fever that obvious hit her suddenly as she turned on her side.

Mara scrambled up onto Gouki's back. She hugged him tightly and giggled. "Thank you for carrying me Gouki-chan!" She said kissing his cheek affectionately.
Cho followed along after the others, she kept an eye on Mara/Emi.

No problem sis. Always glad to give you a lift. What are big brothers for if not to help out their little sisters you know." Gouki said as he flexed one of his arms to show he was strong. "Besides you are as light as a feather. It's not like its hard to carry you at all."
