Well since they're not known for false positives, I think you're pretty safe. Just go in to the hospital and have them do your official one so you can breath easy. 4laugh

Kaiya: are you late? Why the induction?

I gave birth December 23rd to Aimee Michelle.
A small 6 lbs 10 oz and 19 inches long. Healthy.

Motherhood is harder than I thought it'd be. -_- -is worn out-

Congratulations Haku Chan! For me the first month and a half were really difficult and then things seemed to get much, much better. I can't guarantee that that will happen for you, but hopefully it will. Good luck! biggrin

4laugh congrats luna!
soo 9 weeks down and only...31 to go gonk morning sickness my butt ..the person who named it must have been male mad but anywho so far everything seems well. Today is my step daughter's 2 nd birthday i have pics of her and eric playing my lazy butt just needs to scan them xd My doctor thinks i might actually be 13 weeks and i agree because i feel that "quickening" i woke up to the whole fluttering thing this morning i forgot how strange it felt. Also we might have twins eek it runs high in both families and while ive only gained like a pound after loosing 5 my stomach has how shall we say poped..i seriously look 5 months pregnant. So when we go on the 13th they said theyll probably do an ultrasound to sort all this craziness out. I keep teasing tim that its twin girls..poor guy. So how is everyone else?

rofl Well hopefully they'll get it sorted out with the u/s. Based on what I've read those do sound like symptoms of twins. So if you're carrying two, congrats!

I've had a lot of similar experiences with my pregnancy so I know how disconcerting it can be to be losing weight or barely clinging at your start point and then overnight BAM, huge preggo belly. eek Until we had our u/s I thought I might have double in there as well; it turns out I just have a fairly large and VERY active boy brewing.

Yeah, pregnancy sickness really stinks. XP And it's so poorly named.

Twins is a possibility! But I notice with what ym friends with more than one child have told me, their second pregnancy it seemed like they got bigger quicker. Also, because you know what the signs are for fetal movement, you might be more likely to pick it up this time.

Dirge, do you know if the military does one or two ultrasounds for the pregnancy?

I don't have my first real appointment till the 28th of February. I hate having to wait so long for it, darn impatience of mine. They told me I have to get another pap smear, which I'm not thrilled about because I JUST had one a couple months ago, but ah well. At least this time it'll be with the same wonderful nurse practioner.

One is standard I think, unless they find something to worry you senseless about. mad And then they'll call you back in. I was wondering that myself, if they do anymore later on just to check due dates again...because the DOD book they give you says they prefer to do regular u/s checks just for that reason: it saves them money and pain by having a better due date and not resorting to so many inductions. At least someone out there seems to think that inducing for no good reason is a bad thing. XP I could ask the next time I'm in to see Diane which is the 26th of this month, just to be sure.

Yeah, I had to wait 5 almost 6 weeks inbetween the time they confirmed my pregnancy and my first test too...and get a pap. Oh well, better safe then sorry, I guess. Though it is a pain as you just had one.

Yeah cause I was trying to figure it out. My sister said she got 2, one about 12 weeks and another later on to double check, CYA, and also to tell the sex. I know the military is weird about that.

Oh the civilians at MTFs, how I love thee. stare

Since the snotty receptionist who makes appointments back in the women's clinic wouldn't take my ID and therefore see the notation on my record, I had to wait 3 weeks to get referred to the correct person to make my next u/s appointment. But it's two weeks from today and hopefully it will set our minds at ease.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 17, 2006 5:11 pm

Why wouldn't she take your ID? Ugh idiotic, but I'm glad you're set to go for another u/s.

I handed her my ID and said, " I need to schedule an ultrasound," to which I got a very curt, "We're all booked for January and February's schedule isn't out yet," and my card handed back before she could put my information in and pull it up. This happened for over two weeks and then when I called I just got to ask the question and would be told to call back later. So today because Feb's schedule is out and has openings, she took my card, put in my info and then saw the notation that has been there since, oh...December 28th I believe? rolleyes
