Amaya's frown deepened and she looked to the opposite side, her strange eyes closing. She sniffed, having known that the staff wouldn't care about looking at her like some labrat. Afterall, that's what she was.
A lab... iguana.
She sniffed again, but said nothing for the moment.

Sabin pursued his lips at her silence. "Or don't say anything.." He murmured with a roll of his eyes.
"Well.... moving on... any significant behavioral changes after this last change that you've noted? And how... different do you feel in general?"

The teen opened her eyes, but refused to look at him. "I do everything an iguana does. Headbobbing, tongue flickering. Can't eat or drink normally." She paused, taking a breath and wiggling uncomfortably in her restraints. "I don't feel human anymore."

Sabin eyed the restraints after taking notes. "The physical examination is already over... you slept through that.... and so if you do not intend on trying to run - which.. is rather pointless given we're in a locked room... or attacking me which is likewise pointless, I can undo them."
"And, well, that is an understandable feeling give that, well, objectively speaking you are not human anymore." He paused for a moment. "Not that that is necessarily a bad thing." He gave a mirthful chuckle.

"Okay." Yellow eyes looked down at the restraints, then glared at nothing at particular at his words. But she held her tongue, knowing that mouthing off at a lab tech would just get her into deeper trouble.

Sabin unbuckled the restraints and stepped back to give her room to move.
"And.... well.... I suppose that that is just about that for now. We'll be keeping an eye on you, obviously, make sure that there are no lingering side-effects. And if you experience anything concerning, you ought to let us know." He reprimanded.

Amaya moved only when all the restraints were undone and the tech was back in his position. She slid out of the seat, only able to stand fully upright when her tail was positioned behind her... albeit long enough to have to move around things such as the chair.
She glanced at Sabin and nodded, though wanted nothing more then to just run back to her duplex and to Ambrose.
Wait... Ambrose.
"Where's Ambrose?" She asked suddenly.

A smal smile curled on his face. "Ambrose... is seeing one of our other lab techs at the moment."
"However-" He continued more sternly. "IF you struggle in the future, it will only make things more difficult for everyone involved. If youhad cooperated I would not have had to knock you and Mr. Maurlias out."

A shudder went up the reptile's spine. Ambrose was in one of the rooms too? And... it was her fault... She physically deflated, her small shoulders slumping foreward along with her muzzle. Who knew what they were doing to him.
Though she saw any sort of protest or demand to see him as pointless. It would just be turned down anyway. "Is he okay?"

Sabin enjoyed a private moment of gloating as she realized that it was her fault Ambrose was mixed up in it all.
"I don't exaclty know, I've been occupied with your physical. But, I am sure you can ask him next time you see him. Now, I can drive you back to the village and get back to work."
Sabin spun on his heels and headed for the door, that opened without resistance for him.
Amaya did feel a little off after the exam, there was a slight painful spot on her arm where it looked like a needlepuncture had been.
He waved her after him and headed for the elevator bay.

The iguana sauntered slowly after him, her body moving from side to side as she walked. She absently rubbed the spot on her arm that she assumed was where they had drawn her blood.
She stopped outside the door, making sure her tail was out of the way before he shut it, doing the same with the elevator.

As promised, Sabin led her out of the labs and back to the Feral Labs jeep, where he saw that she was properly situated and buckled in before hopping in the driver's seat and taking her back to the village. He didn't seem particularlay keen in continuing the conversation unless she brought anything up.
Finally, he let her off near her duplex and drove back off to the labs.

Amaya was silent throughout the entire drive back as well, getting out of the jeep and walking to her door before watching it speed off. She then sat at her doorstep, as if waiting for Ambrose to come back.
It was her fault...

Alec's Change Alec Derring Alec awoke with a start, rolling over instinctively in his bed though he stopped himself before his fin could get caught in the mattress underneath him. He breathed hard, rubbing at his eyes as if he was trying to force himself out of a dream. He was thirsty again, the glass of water Nita had fetched for him hadn't been enough to satiate him, it seemed.
He asked for this. He really did.
All the lamenting over the stresses of dealing with and helping people through their tough times, he was so stupid to think that karm wouldn't get him back. It was like he thought he was immune for awhile. He was so stupid.
With a depressed groan he pulled himself to a sitting position and stared down at the floor. A couple of browned leaves fell out from under his sheets, fluttering to land beside the rubbery mass that was his feet now. Giving a sad sigh, he rose and went to wash up without once looking into the mirror in the bathroom for fear of what he'd see. When he finally emerged, he draped a towl over his head and punched in the number to Amaya's duplex. Amaya Vaughan Amaya still sat on her doorstep in an awkward crouch position, her door open as her tail lay behind her and into the room a couple of feet. The wolfman still wasn't showing up... and she was worried. It had been her fault he got caught up in all this. She had been so stupid.
A large hand came up, going over her eyes as she lamented on her own stupidity and guilt. But she didn't get very far in thought as the com attached to her wall a couple of feet away buzzed. Yellow eyes blinked, thinking it might be Ambrose or one of the staff. Least not make them mad again... they might hurt someone else.
Slowly the green iguana stood and manuvered herself around to the small box, pressing the button to speak. "... Hello...?" Alec Derring Alec held the button but said nothing for a moment, opening his mouth to speak but closing it again. Finally, he inhaled deeply and cleared his throat for a response.
"Ay... 'Maya?" He mumbled but managed not to croak out the words. Why'd he call her again? Or right. "Uh... wha' ye up teh?" As he waited for an answer he scratched at the back of his neck, irritated by the dry itch and the fact that the annoying patch of grey scaley skin had spread all over his body now. Amaya Vaughan She blinked, having not expected Alec of all people to contact her. Though last time he had, he had changed... and he didn't sound all too happy. But he couldn't have changed again already, could he? Hopefully not. "Oh, Alec... Nothing, really. Waiting for Ambrose to get back from the labs."
Amaya stopped herself there, not wanting to dump all of what happened on his shoulders. There was a pause, before her quiet voice came through once more. "What about you? You alright?" Alec Derring Alec fell silent again. Deja vu. Whe nwas the last time he'd called her? The teen could recall it surprisingly well. Falling out teeth, general freaking out, yep it seemed he had a knack at bothering people only when he needed it. So he wasn't just stupid, he selfish too.
"Nothin'. A' mean..." He quickly chattered into the com system speaker, frowning hard on the other end as he changed his mind. "'Am comin' oveh, ekay?" Amaya Vaughan The girl blinked, staring at the intercom for a moment. "Sure, I'm waiting out on my porch anyway. See ya in a couple minutes." She let go of the button, but waited just inside the door just incase he said anything more.

"Ye... Ye sure." Alec's voice could be heard unsurely from the com speaker as Amaya moved back outside.
It'd be more than a few minutes before any sign of Alec would be seen coming down the line of duplexes, the reason becoming clear when one saw the sickeningly slow pace he struggling to keep going. He'd thrown another longer beach towel over his shoulders and draped the other so that it covered most of his face for the sake of blocking out the sun from his eyes and to of course, conceal.
"Aye." He breathed when he finally shuffled to within hearing range of the iguana girl, rubbery feet sore from being stuffed inside of his clunky boots for what felt like a long trek.
