In the sky was a raven flying as hard as it could. As it passed over the city walls it began to search the streets. In it's beak was a simple white envelope. On the envalope was the power of tree symbol. The raven landed to take a rest, it had been flying here from Chorrol non stop. After a few minutes it saw a man walking out of a mansion. It once again took off and then landed in front of Douglas. It dropped the letter and took off. Inside the envelope was a letter reading:
Dear Douglas,
I hope my display didn't shake you up too much. I had no intention for my man follower to go so far as to use one of his stronger puppets. I must apologize and I would love to do so in person. Please come to Chorrol. I would love to meet you in person. If you need my servant Alice may come and collect you, althought since we are both gentlemen it should not have to come to that.

Nicky fell as her body gave in. She sat her self up and looked around as she placed her self agest the stone was. She was breathing hard as she looked at her covered arm as a red spot grew bigger and bigger. She took off the rappings and looked at the stiched up arm that was bleeding. She sighed as she kind of wished she wold have just been left to die. She really had nothing to go to or live fore except her self. She stood up and walked slowly along the wall.

Douglas was startled a bit by the bird, but the only sign of it being that his eyes opened a tiny bit wider for a fraction of a second. He kneeled to pick up the letter, opening it and scanning it with his eyes. A thousand thoughts fired off, but one thing remained. 'I'd better go, like it or not.' With a heavy sigh Douglas tucked the letter into his pocket and shoved pen the gate, hearing the satisfying crack as it hit the wall.

Nicky jumped at a sound she heard. "Ah!" She screammed a her arm was stinging painfully. She cliched on to her arm trying to get the pain to stop. She finally let her self cry and sob. Now thinking she should have staied at the hospital she went to her knees. She bit her tounge to keep her self from screaming.

Douglas glanced towards the sobbing. "********, I thought I put you in the hospital!" Douglas hurried over, his steps making light taps as he ran over to her. With the abnormal strength he had mastered over the years, she was in Douglas' arms and he was hurrying back into the mansion. "********, you're stubborn."

Nicky blink and then saw Douglas. What was going on? Then her eye widen. Him! She coughed as her body was trying to remove the blood from her stumach. She bit her tounge again and then looked at her stiched up arm. She grinned when he said '********, your stubborn.' She nodded her head in agreement then wenced.

Douglas hurried through the door, lucky someone hadn't closed it yet. He didn't bother, instead hurrying to the ward. Being a vampire, having injuries was different from a human. If you got a serious one, it wasn't like you could have it checked, so he had a ward installed into his house. It also treated humans, but focused primarily on vampires.
Douglas wasn't even out of breath when they reached it, slamming open the door. "I believe this girl needs attention." Immediately they took her from him. Being of small stature, it was odd to refer to people taller than him as 'girl', or a younger word. It seemed that he should use an older form, but always felt that age mattered more.

Nicky squermed francitly as she was handed off. Then a sharp pain came through her arm. "Ah!" She finially screammed as she cried more. She pulled her arm close to her her ice blue eyes pleading for the pain to stop. She finally relaxed some and looked around still crying.

Douglas followed closely behind, making sure they didn't hurt her. Douglas winced as she began crying, and searched through his head for something. Usually that meant he had won the fight, but there was no fight going on... Douglas didn't know what to do, so he hung off to the side waiting for the doctors to finish.

Nicky let the doctors take care of her pushing her fear of being touch away. She watched them closely and studied them. Quietly she took notes in her head figuring out what type of person they were. She started to play with a little bit with her long hair. She looked around wonder why she was getting help from a vampire.

Douglas observed silently, watching from afar. Eventually the doctors spread out, a few coming over to consult him with grim expressions. Douglas just smiled and waved them away.
Douglas padded over, peering at her. "You may be wondering why, but it's only because you were caught in the cross-fire."

Nicky watched the doctors go away and the saw Douglas. She tilted her head at him with a cute 'what?' face on. Then she looked up and smiled. She rubbed her arm like if she was petting a small mouse. She nodded her head and streched making her arm hurt. She pulled it back to her self as she shut her eyes tight and gritted her teeth.

"Don't try and leave here. I won't have it." A dark shadow crossed Douglas' face, then was gone when he smiled. "You won't have to deal with nasty hospital food, and it's all free. Stay here until you're healed. You can walk around the house... Though I suggest you not." Douglas smiled innocently, looking down at her on the bed.

Nicky listioned to Douglas and blanked out her face. Then she looked to the side then back at him. She brought her knees up to her chest and put her gaze down. She looked up at Douglas with a small frown, then she sighed. Nodding her head she put her knees down.

Douglas frowned slightly, tilting his head up. Even though he stood around four feet, something about him seemed to imminate authority to most people. "I don't want you moving too much. These people won't hurt you." As he said so, he took out a pen and wrote something on a scrap of paper. "I have a cellphone, and if they do, call me. I'd like for you to call me nightly, and tell me how they are treating you." Douglas looked away, his gaze wandering off. "I'm going to be gone for a few days... on a trip. It won't be long, but I'll be back."
