He could feel her lingering disappointment in the air and frowned. What else did she want him to say? What was she still searching for? He could tell in the way she glanced down that she wasn't fully pleased with his answer. Women...he felt like he was playing a losing game when it came to them. Setting aside his work for now, he shook his head. "No, I don't. But you can share mine." He pushed up from the floor and settled beside her on the hammock, settling the blanket over both of them. "Better?"

That...wasn't how that was supposed to go. He was supposed to say yes or no, then they were supposed to lapse into quiet and he could continue to make that noise he was making for whatever it was he was doing. A little moment of flailing and readjusting as he had plopped in the hammock, making it move and making her adjust to his body in her space. With lack of space she merely laid on her side pressed against him, resting her chest and arm across his chest.
This was odd. Very odd. And yet soothing...old things of nature calling to her in the rhythm of his breathing and the steady beat of his heart that her ears zeroed in on. Yet uncomfortable. Thusly she let a hand feel over his chest and started to pull and undo various buckles or snaps on his person and tugging at the layers of leathers.

((Fresh meat? Interesting nick name))
Stroud had been sitting in the corner of his workplace for some time, his thoughts wandered to things that would cheer up a young dragon. "Don't think that I can really create anything that would make a young dragon happy." he said with a shrug and a sigh, "Perhaps I will gain some inspiration as I work, I shouldn't dally too much anyway, these boys sure don't know how to properly care for there weapons." he laughed as he slowly rose from the seat and got to work repairing broken swords, checking on the brine in which he had placed others so that he could remove the rust, it was an issue since the metal came in contact with salt. Lifting one of the blades he looked in over, careful not get the brine on his hands, since it was highly acidic in nature.
"Still don't understand how after all this years I haven't burned my hands." he laughed as he replaced the sword into the brine and went ahead reattaching some of the blades that he had repaired to the hilts on which they were originally held. This work was slow and tedious but he enjoyed it, and it would keep him busy for some time. He doubted that he would have any interruptions, since he rarely had them.
((I don't think that I'll be making any more posts tonight. It was pleasure as always. Ladies.....and of course you sir))

All her shifting around and moving of things only served to make the already strained hammock dump them both on the floor. Kelligrin winced as his bottom made contact with the rough wood and he wound up with Savryn on his lap. Well... "I think we're going to have to rearrange if both of us are going to be able to rest on the hammock, Vryn." His voice was huskier than normal for some reason and dangerously close to her ear.

She gave a yelp at the loss of stability that was barely there to begin with and she grabbed onto him for the short fall to the ground, ending up with her straddling his lap and arms wrapped around his neck as she had been scrambling for something stable to reorient herself with. Okay...gravity was back in order. Ears twitched of their own accord against his voice and breath and she cleared her throat. "I don't think too much can be done...it's a hammock, it is only but so forgiving..."

Completely aware of every inch of her body pressed against his, he was suddenly rather uncomfortable and he shifted slightly, his hands coming to rest rather naturally at her waist to steady her--at least that's what he was telling himself for now. And yet, he wasn't quite willing to move from this position just yet. "Well...you're just going to have to lay on top of me." Did that sound bad? Probably...

This was all pretty much absurd...but at the same time she hadn't been lying. Her body temperature was indeed down and she needed to get it back up or risk a magic induced fever. That however meant she had to use him apparently as blankets were short in supply. Of course his shifting caused her to slide flush against him and she blinked a little as her cheeks suddenly heated up when he grabbed hold of her to study her. An odd strained laugh, sort of a giggle left her throat before she cleared it. "Well...you're going to have to get out of that leather if that's the case." What?

"well...in that case...how can I make sure it's later?"
frowning lightly and glancing at the other.
A chuckle.
"You know what I mean. I'm sure there are a few that look to get a 'rise' out of you, Lycear."

He watched her cheeks fill with color and knew she was blushing and felt bad for causing her embarrassment. If he hadn't felt the need to climb up into the hammock with her then none of this would have ever happened. Her statement caused his eyes to widen and then drop down studying the loose buckles she'd managed to undo before they'd tipped. "I might need you to help me point out which ones need to go..." He felt odd, his ears twitching at her noise and then he pulled off the two belts she'd already undone.

"Fair enough." She already knew what had to go and merely hadn't gotten to it before he was tipping the scales of balance and causing falling. Sliding back in his lap some she took to pulling at snaps and such that she wanted and shoving at leather layers. Though she knew him enough to at least leave him with the less closure riddled leathers for his own sake of protection, or at least the feeling of it. "That should do it." Why was she hot? Maybe she was getting a fever after all.
"Eat kallim leaves. Your or him, it doesn't matter. They keep that pesky detail supressed. Tastes horrible, but is effective."
He snorted and shook his head. "If they are, I'm not paying attention. There are better things to pay attention to and get done."

It felt strange to have her tugging at his clothes that way and he exhaled somewhere over her shoulder while it was all going on. This was usually going on in very different situations and he shouldn't even be considering such things. "Vryn..." he started and then paused. Nope, not going there. "Ready? Good." Thus, standing up, he lifted her into his arms and settled them both back on the hammock slowly so as not to tip it again. "We'll have to move together or it will dump us again."

Her ears twitched at her nickname, well the other one that she wasn't quite used to too much and she paused and looked at him lightly. Not that looking at him did anything for her but she did it anyway. However breathy sounds turned into questions and she made a sound as he moved before she was ready. And now they were in the hammock, her still straddling him, though awkwardly now what with the way hammocks worked. "I don't trust it to not dump us either way. I can feel it."
Though she tried, letting her legs spread some more so that her knees braced the hammock out somewhat and she pressed at his chest with her opposite hand that wasn't also steadying like her knees were trying to do. "Lean back."

They were moving very slowly, and he was using all of his mental power to ignore the way she was intimately pressed against him. It was hard. She shifted once more and he finally caught her hips to hold her still. "You have to stop...squirming." Very slowly he began to lean back, the hammock swaying slightly beneath the movement but holding him until he was resting with his head against the knotted surface.

Another noise as he tried to steady her, which only surprised her in her own concentration on what the hammock was doing. "I'm not squirming, I'm adjusting. Don't throw the balance off." Because then they'd be in the floor again. Was this hammock even worth this effort. Oddly braced as she was she stayed perfectly still, feeling for when he was laid back completely. The hammock protested with its own noises for a few moments before quieting.
"Okay...now don't move." Lowering herself painfully slow down to rest her chest against his before letting her legs pull in and slide along his, letting them guide his center of established balance. Painfully slow process indeed before she was resting against him stiffly. Hammock paranoia. "I think we're good..." Another one of those half giggly noises from her. Nervousness from the hammock.

She claimed she wasn't squirming but Kelligrin's body was telling him different. Everytime she shifted or squirmed this way or that a jolt of electricity shot through his body. It was driving him crazy. Added to that, she was affecting him more than usual and he didn't like it. It was bound to make him do something stupid and then he'd have her biting his head off. He stayed perfectly still while she maneuvered then wrapped his arms around her and held her in place. "There. See?" The hammock would hold them both now. Carefully reaching down, he picked up the blanket and spread it over them. "Do you need to take reverie, Vryn?" he whispered softly.
