Wally's body starts to fade.
As it does, so does his influence over the Nexus.
The Metavore eats Wally West's history, erasing him from the Nexus one day at a time.
As the people standing outside of the building watch, their memories of Wally start to retreat. History is in danger of collapsing.

The Flash vanishes in Nexus's grip.
The backlash rumbles outward like a sonic boom. Peoples' memories become confused. Events of the past are in chaos.
A red horizon forms around the perimeter of what remains of the Nexus.
The Metavore slumps down, causing the ground to rumble as it does, and transforms back into a building.

Time. Effort. Resources. I sunk a lot into that damned place. Now it's been stolen yet again. First Osborn steals it from me when I die. Then Skeletor in Armani swipes it to make it a . . . drug empire.
Now the thing steals itself. It's also a distraction from business I have elsewhere.
*Lex ponders.* I just wish it would kill someone who annoys me, then at least the nuisance would be somewhat more tolerable.
