Monty took his time in the cooking not rushing because he had a feeling that Kalore was going to stay in the shower for a long time. Hell, he knew that the elf must be so out of it that for once it effected Monty in a way. He felt responsible for causing the elf more problems than anything. Maybe it was best to keep away from him for a good while unless it was necessary to be around him. For once, he didn't want to cause anyone any trouble.

Arms going around his body, Kalore rocked in time with his tears, the hot water still coming down. More than likely he had actual burns on his back and neck, but the elf just didn't care anymore. It wasn't until long after the water had turned cold that Kalore somehow stood up and got out of the shower. Leaning against the counter, he tried not to look at his reflection. But as he went into the bedroom to change, there was a mirror right there.

Standing there in Monty's clothes, Kalore looked over himself with red rimmed eyes. He looked horrible. Hair that normally was perfection was now a total mess, his clothes much too big for the small framed man, smaller frame because of lack of food, his body obviously tired and worn. A silent sigh came from him as he shook his head. It didn't matter. His looks were never that great before anyway.

Kalore somehow got out of the room without collapsing and stayed there in the doorway, waiting for Monty's okay to come into the room. But, even if he didn't care for the okay, Kalore had to just stop and stand there. He was still in major pain from the treatment of his body over the past week, his mind getting the brunt of it, so just walking was starting to become a challenge.

Monty was quiet the whole time and heard feet shuffling but didn't move. He was too deep in thought. That was kind of bad seeing as the smell of good food attracted a certain three headed animal.

The dog came around, looking smaller than it did before and caught another scent, other than Monty's and the food. The dog sniffed around and followed this new scent to come face to face, not literally, with Kalore. It blinked up at the elf and sniffed his feet. The dog was curious not deadly which sort of made it cute, in a weird way.

Normally when something like this would happen, Kalore would spaz out. But at the moment, he really didn't care that one of his least favorite animals was sniffing his feet. A couple slow blinks and Kalore just walked slowly over to the table, sitting down while ignoring the creepy dog. Looking down at the table, Kalore stayed silent as his vision went in and out and the shaking still attacked him.

The dog picked it's ears up and walked over to Kalore, nudging his leg. The animal wasn't looking for food or anything. The animal picked up what some couldn't and that bothered that animal. He nudged Kalore again and then went over to his master, nudging his leg to stop being lost in his mind and to focus on they picked up on.

Monty looked down at his dog and fed them each a piece of ham and then placed the food in a waiting plate for Kalore. It was lightly cooked ham with some different fruits that Kalore liked and turned around to place it on the table. Pausing he looked at Kalore closely. What he saw, he didn't like one bit. Moving next to Kalore he offered his hand to him. "I'll take you to bed Kalore." He said, not stating that he was looking in bad shape.

The food was ignored as Kalore took the hand blindly, his eyes still that of a dolls. When his hand touched Monty's, he didn't feel the normal warmth that came with the demon. Instead, Kalore felt nothing but some type of pressure as his hand just lied there, no pressure on Kalore's part as he moved only slightly to get from the chair. He couldn't find the strength to actually get up, however.

Monty frowned some more and grabbed Kalore by his shoulders. Lifting his head up he kept noticing the samething and it was starting to get to him. "Kalore? What's wrong?" He knew that he was what's wrong and most likely Eri but Kalore would have ignored it and moved on right? He could see that about the elf. Though this was just too much! He would try to at least help as best as he could even if Kalore hated his guts.

How would Kalore explain what was wrong? Did he even really know what all was wrong? No, at least not really. It couldn't be explained. The rebels, Lucien, the new place, Monty, Eri... all of this in a matter of weeks was just too much for Kalore. Normally he could take a lot of things, but this was just insane! Looking into Monty's eyes, Kalore tried to make those annoyingly dead eyes leave, but he couldn't. Instead he bit his lip and stopped himself from doing something stupid.

Growling softly, he brought Kalore up by his arm and then lifted him up, in bridal style and carried him back to the room he was given. He was saying things out loud in his native tongue about how stubborn Kalore was and about how he was genuinely sorry for being apart of his problems that he hoped if being away from him would help fix that part of it. He layed Kalore gently down on the bed and started to busy himself with getting Kalore comfortable on the already comfortable bed. He also wanted to keep Kalore warm. Maybe he would bring the food here for Kalore with some water. Yeah that was a good idea. He kept muttering things in his native language and then switched off to Gambler's native language, muttering things in that ever-so nice language.

The languages were probably the best thing that Monty ever did while around the mute elf. For some reason, the different sounds grabbed the broken elf's attention and the look in his eyes went from dead to something slightly resembling alertness. Both of the languages were interesting, both pleasing to the ear, but Kalore had no clue on what either one meant. Blinking slowly again, he looked confused but then noticed that he was in a bed. Looking around again, Kalore looked at Monty as he muttered things to himself, or was it to the elf? He didn't know but what Kalore did know was that it was easier to lightly grab at Monty's shirt, looking at him with slowly, very slowly, waking eyes.

Monty stopped and looked at the hand that grabbed his shirt. Blinking he looked up at Kalore for a moment and blinked some more. "What?" He said softly not wanting to make Kalore scared of him anymore than he was and he said that word in the divine language. Though he didn't realize it as his hands covered Kalore's feet.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 14, 2010 12:52 am

He didn't know what the word was, but Kalore had enough sense in him to guess. Cocking his head to the side, there was a flash of the elf from before; Someone who could take anything, even almost being burned alive by the demon above him. "Stay." Mouthing that out, Kalore's eyes held slight confusion, as if not understanding the word that was formed by his own lips.

Sighing silently, his hand dropped from the shirt as he fully collapsed again. Even through this, his eyes never left Monty's, a small hope in them that the demon really would just stay there until he was okay. Well, as okay as the mute elf had been at least in the tower.

Monty was taken aback at what Kalore said. The thing was, would Monty stay with Kalore? Would he be so heartless as to leave a comrade, a friend to his own misery? Hell no. He was heartless but to an extent and in this case he was willing to do whatever it was to make sure that Kalore was okay. Hell better than okay. Nodding slowly, he sat down next to Kalore. He wasn't used to staying in a room longer than he had in the Tower but he wasn't going to let how he usually handle things get in the way of trying to help Kalore.

Eyes showing more life, gratitude slightly coming through the dead look of his eyes; The green of them becoming slightly brighter than the dull green that they had been for the past couple hours. Nodding slightly, Kalore felt his body relax, his hand coming up to the pillow to have something other than Monty to touch. Hopefully once he woke up Kalore would be back to normal. Hopefully.

Monty looked around at the blue room and closed his eyes. Not to sleep but to touch everything in the warehouse with him mind, making double sure that everything was locked and shut off. He allowed his dog free range to roam about the house so that he could protect it well. Opening his eyes he looked at the ground, keeping Kalore company and trying to keep from becoming anxious to move.

At some point he did have to rest but that would be until Kalore was back in better shape. Though his eyes were telling him that now would be a good time as any to close and knock out. Especially after all the work he did that day and when he went out of his way to respect the wishes of Rave to not kill Eri. That took alot of will power for him.
