It was time for him to try and discern what the story behind the Keeper's Warder was. Perhaps there was something that would be of use to them. He rode confidently, but slowly into the compound. From the exterior, he looked exactly like Hawk.

It was an Illusion. And a plan crafted carefully, after making sure that no one was likely to arrive at the estate, capable of exposing the fraud. As he passed the gates, one of the older looking gardeners paused in his work to observe him. Satisfied, he bowed politely. Taking the cue, the others followed suit.

He made it to the stables, and handed over his horse to the boy. He glanced down.

The boy bowed low. "We weren't expecting you milord....what brings you to the estate?" He looked up to see Hawk's renowned blue gaze surveying him, and gulped.

((Whoo! Merc, your back! Lol, and so am I, I suppose. Wow. School and work...how I hate thee at the moment.))

No doubt surprising the new arrival and her strange Warders, Mairyela watched as the Green gave a start. Both her Warders seemed unaffected by her arrival. Aes Sedai calm and grace out the window, she looked Mairyela up and down as though sizing up an opponent. Then recognition dawned in her eyes and her study turned to glaring.

"It seems you have a knack for surprises, Blue." she comment gruffly. Her eyes were almost black, making it difficult to distinguish iris from pupil. It made her gaze solid and unyielding. "Or is it simply that you watch your feet whilst you walk?"

Definitely a Tearean accent she commented to herself, placing the womans accent. Pulling her shawl closer across her shoulders, and shuffling the papers in her hands, she tried to add height to her small frame. This woman would not intimidate her. "Neither Sister. It seems merely a case of poor coincidence."

Her tone of voice had the woman hardening her gaze, if even possible. "Perhaps." she said, her voice smooth. "Or perhaps not. Aiken here," she nodded to the man whose eyes had stopped her cold, "seems to believe you've been observing us...wolfkin."

The woman knew whose power reigned over the other, but the lack of title and the sneer in her voice had Mairyela seething. Whoever this woman thought she was, she had the air of smug self worth that she had encountered with many royals. Royalty, though, she most certainly was not. Through her travels among the nations, she had been given the chance to meet many of the ruling families. This woman had no resemblance to any she had met. She also did not walk with trained grace; more like self superiority. "Only suspicion where suspicion is due, Sister. What is your business here?"

The Green was taken aback. "Can a Sister of the Tower not walk it's halls? Or have the laws changed since I was here last?"

"Not so, but these halls lead only to one place. Both the Amyrlin and the Keeper are quite busy. Let us just say that vigilance is the key these dark days."

"How very true." The Green said, again looking Mairyela up and down as one would when picking out livestock. Mairyela glared right back. "And how would one such as yourself know the business of the Amyrlin Seat and her Keeper?"

"My business is my own, but as the new Mistress of Novices, I am in continual contact with the Keeper. She and the Amyrlin wish not to be disturbed." They most certainly have enough to deal with without your attitude to add to it! she thought sharply. She was not one to become easily frustrated, but this woman seemed to have made annoyance an art form.

"I see...Mistress..." she seemed to bite off the word. "Well, next you see the Keeper, inform her that the Lady Zeara Sheillen wishes council with her as soon as possible!" And with that, she twirled on her heels and disappeared down the hall. Her one Warder, the boulder as she referred to him, stuck to her heels as though tied there. The other, Aiken she had called him, stood a moment, merely looking at her. Every instinct inside her screamed that this man was dangerous, and not merely because he was a Warder. She felt her hackles rise; the fine hair on her arms rose, causing gooseflesh. His eyes seemed to pull her energy from her, creating a cold void in her gut. She knew not how long he stood and stared at her, their eyes locked, before he turned to follow his Aes Sedai.

She exhaled the breath she didn't know she had been holding. All she knew was that she had to keep him away from the Amyrlin and the Keeper at all costs.

((Big post since I haven't been on here in ages!))

Mercury flinched a little as saidin went through her. She was more accustomed to it now than she had been, but it still felt odd. She didn't mind however; she felt somewhat better after Hawk had Healed her. She noted vaguely that Wolf's side of the bond was closed; whether he had just done so or while she was asleep she wasn't sure. It was no matter for the moment. She sighed, and settled against Hawk, keeping his arms around her. Hawk was not going to approve of what she was doing.

Still looking at her feet, she spoke. "I'm going to agree to Romvian's terms. We have to get Clarissa back."

Over the course of the argument the night before, Wolf had explained to Hawk the terms-Clarissa's return, in exchange for Mercury's cooperation for some unknown agenda. Wolf had pointed out numerous things Romvian could demand, none of which were pleasant.

"Whatever he may ask, I'll have to deal with it when he demands it. Until then, we have no way of knowing what he might want, and therefore no way of preparing for it."

Hawk pull her face close to him and says, We talked over this before Merc, and my answer is still the same. I wont let you face him alone. May it be that your strong in power, but your still a woman and i wont allow it that you face him alone. I'll do what i must to protect you. This time you wont be able to talk me away from it. If needed be ill follow to your dreamworld through a gateway

"Well in any event, we have to wait for Romvian to contact us with the time of the exchange. I'll inform you when he does." Mercury said, dodging the subject.

"And how many times have I told you not to enter the Dream World physically, through a Gateway no less? Not only does it drain your channeling, but it shortens your physical life span." she admonished Hawk.

She paused as she heard lots of bustling going on in the courtyard down below. She frowned, not sure what was going on. She stepped out onto the balcony, and looking down, saw that the Grounds were teeming with some hundred odd trainees. They seemed very confused, and she noted that they all seemed to be coming from the Travelling area.

"What in Light's name is going on down there?" She turned and in a few moments, was out the door and heading down the stairs. Within ten minutes, she was in the courtyard. Though the mask was on her face, there was an air of disapproval about her at seeing the chaos. She stood there, waiting for someone to notice her and explain what was going on.

"Is my prescence a hindrance here? Or does anyone object to my being here?" the fake Hawk asked calmly. He meant it truly as a question, but the manservant took it as reprimand.

"Of course not m'lord." He responded quickly, bowing again. "Had we known you would be arriving, we would have arranged a meal for you. It will take some time to get you a proper meal m'lord, if that is alright?"

Romvian's spy waved a hand. "A meal is not necessary. I do not wish to eat yet. Perhaps later, at supper we shall see. Now then, are my rooms ready? Yes? Well then, lead the way. If anything is out of order, I shall hold you to be responsible."

The stableboy gulped, and summoned the butler. He arrived, bowed, and indicated for Hawk to follow him to his quarters. After the butler had left him, the man looked around.

The room was very comfortable, and quite tasteful too. The fireplace was trimmed with a deep purple rug, bordered in white and cream. The curtains were thick, with the side facing the grounds in dark red, and the inside in a navy blue. There was a small balcony, with a pot hanging high above, that had some fragrant plant growing in it; he could smell it. So far, nothing particularly helpful. What was Hawk's mysterious reason for not talking about his home?

((Gonna have to puppet Raz for a bit it looks like...))

Raznon frowned, not sure he had understood what the wetlander was saying. "That man is not a Gaidin? Then who is he?" The other Gaidin shook their heads in confusion. "Then where is this Jamal Gaidin??" Again only silence.

He turned to the still trussed wetlander with a look of cool anger. "You there. Who is this fellow?" He indicated the dead man with his spear. The mercenary eyed him then the spear, before looking at the corpse.

Markis was idly going through some practice with his staff, and watching out of the corner of his eye as the farm sentenced trainees returned. They didn't all seem like such troublemakers. He wondered why they were all coming back at once though. They had said something about keeping everyone together meaning keeping everyone safe, but he wasn't sure he believed it.

I do what I must to protect you my stubborn Keeper he says smirking. I give my life for you if its needed. As she walk away and stepped out into the balcony, Hawk followed after her. His sword was back on, dangling on his side, one with him as he moves.

Down the courtyard just by his aes sedai's side he can see the trouble pouring out of the travelling area. Hundreds of trainees maybe more are standing infront of her and seemed to be confused on whats happening. He is back on his usually gaidin masked look. He is at eased but he is ready to either swing his blade or channel saidin if some of the people down there are uninvited people that wanna harm his aes sedai or the tower.

He been having an odd feeling lately that something is not right at the tower, but he havent figured out what it is yet, but his instintcs tells him that something big and dangerous is at hand. Other aes sedais with their gaidins starts to swarm the place, to see whats happening. He can feel Markis at the corner of his mind, he is close, it seems he have been doing some serious training. While inside the void, it strengthens his senses rapidly. He watch there sorroundings with ease while listening to his aes sedai.

I am NOT stubborn! she thought to herself, knowing that there was no point saying so out loud. Sometimes she wondered if either of her Gaidin ever bothered to listen to her. Not that they were doing anything wrong; she knew they were only doing their duty in protecting her. She supposed any rational person would agree with Hawk and Wolf that she put herself into far more trouble than any single person would think possible.

As she ran through this train of thought, a few other sisters and warders came to see what was going on. A few of them noticed Mercury standing there, and halted, waiting for some direction as to what was going on. She could tolerate the nonsense no longer.

She took hold of the Source, and made a weave of Air. She spoke, and her voice boomed throughout the compound.

"HALT!!! All of you are to stop where you are, NOW. Come away from the Travelling grounds. Gaidin, move the Warder trainees to the side. Aes Sedai, gather the trainees in the center of the training compound.

And you Novices and Accepted, act in an orderly fashion! Arrange yourself in neat lines of ten girls each, and wait there until a Sister comes to collect you! Be quick about it!!"

Her voice brooked no argument, and made it clear that she would tolerate no delay. There was scrambling all over the courtyard, as the assembled Gaidin and Aes Sedai went to take command of their respective charges.

She released the Source, and fought away a swaying sensation. "Hawk, please see if you can't find Alina. She is Mistress of Novices after all; if anyone knows whats going on, she will."

The mercenary studied the body for a moment before replying. "I don't know. I don't ask for details or to meet those I work for. All I care for is that I get my fee. He could be anyone...."

He spoke the truth, but idly he too was wondering what had happened to the other Gaidin. How was it possible that he had vanished without his fellow Warders knowing? Of course he had heard of Aes Sedai being able to disguise themselves, but to his knowledge no such woman had come with them. And even if they had, and they had disguised the now dead man, why would he cooperate? Obviously his death meant nothing to the Tower.

((D: Ah! Im so sorry I haven`t been on here in ages. School sucks for me right now, and Im stressing about the volcano in Iceland too. Stupid thing, ruining my travel plans! *grrr*))

Mairyela stood for another moment there in the hall, composing herself as she watched the Warders retreating back. The graceful stride of his did nothing to ease her fears; in fact, it increased it twofold.

She was surprised most though, that as soon as the Warder left her gaze and rounded a corner, that her fears became anger. Anger at the Green who had such nerve as to not only bond such a dangerous man, but to think she could simply stroll into the Amyrlin`s office like she had all the privilege in the world. She new even she, the new Mistress, was certainly not at such a level, but she had been granted courtesy that she felt then she had taken the Keeper and Amyrlin`s good graces for granted.

Next I see her, I will tell the oh so important Lady Zeara precisely what I think she can do with herself, and that animal she calls a Warder! she thought bitterly. Heading towards the Keepers office, knowing she needed to inform the Keeper and Amyrlin about what was happening with the girls at the farm, she couldn`t stop the thoughts running through her head. She knew her status meant little when faced with a woman stronger than she in the power, but it would feel good to take the woman down a few pegs.

She felt it then. The eyes staring her down from behind. Whirling around, she saw nothing. Reaching out with the Power, she also could not feel the presence of another. But still the feeling stayed, and if she knew one thing more than anything else, it was never to ignore instinct. Lifting the hems of her skirts, she turned and ran towards the Keepers office, the eyes on her round every bend.
