Nuri I'm hungry! Someone cook for me? ~whips up her Tea Smoked Duck with green tea and citrus glaze and serves it with roasted carrots and garlic roasted potatos~ patch99329 I had a tea leaf fiasco earlier. Oh? patch99329 The Rroma aren't human beings now? eek It would be more amusing if it weren't for the fact I have had people say such in all seriousness. In other news- the woman who runs the home where my Grumps is receiving care is attempting to bully my Nana in breaking HIPPA code and threatening to report her for neglect.

On an aside, in some cultures and languages, the word for outsider held connotations of (if not literal meaning as) non-person. Tho the linguistics may have changed, it seems some of the sentiment has not. confused
Ooh, our local Persian restaurant is going to start having bellydance performances in a month. surprised
Ah, dancing, my CRD will keep me from ever doing that effectively, assuming my hip ever finishes healing. xd
Bancha? Remind me again Tea. surprised
I'd love to Nuri, I just lack the means to transport it to you. domokun

Fiddlers Green On an aside, in some cultures and languages, the word for outsider held connotations of (if not literal meaning as) non-person. Tho the linguistics may have changed, it seems some of the sentiment has not. confused In this particular case, it's pure ignorance. I have no idea where he was coming from beyond this. Quote: Ooh, our local Persian restaurant is going to start having bellydance performances in a month. surprised Ah, dancing, my CRD will keep me from ever doing that effectively, assuming my hip ever finishes healing. xd Sweet. Quote: Bancha? Remind me again Tea. surprised Bancha is the tea that is cut away from the bushes in autumn when they prune them back at the end of the growing season. It has a very rich vegetable flavor- and could replace chicken or vegetable stock in just about any recipe. Bancha is almost impossible to get in the states because most of it is roasted and processed into hoicha.

A small update.
For those of you out of the loop- Bancha is the last flush of tea leaves. They are what is pruned off the bush at the end of the growing season and they are then processed into things like hoicha and other forms of "late harvest" tea.
It has a flavor that is akin to a smooth vegetable stock and as such, is a wonderful way to add flavor without adding fat. It's hard to get- why? Because most of it is processed into other kinds of tea.
Secondly- I am currently trying to figure out how I might track down all the episodes of Avatar that involve Uncle making comments about tea- and looping them into something I can play on the media center of my Gaia profile without breaking any copy right laws.
