Guys, I'm cheating on my flute. ._.
His name is Lucy. He's a viola. I'm learning how to play him.
But I'm being urged by my mom to put Lucy down until I've auditioned for the best band in the school. So I still love my flute.
And band is still the most important thing to me, so I'm still a full-fledged bubbly flutist who happens to be learning viola~

HELP!!!
Does anyone know the range of a wooden flute? Is it the same as a normal one?
I'm thinking of using one in my composition but am I trumpet player and have no idea what they can do?
If anyone knows anything about them, like different sounds or anything like that that you can get out of them then I'd love to know!

Anyone know what to do about squeaky keys that just won't stop squeaking? I swear I've tried everything! I just need a new flute altogether....

Yeah, so I hardly see any other dudes on this list...
Heyo, I'm Machuchu (say it like the sound a train makes like Machu-chu!) and I play flute in an awesome small town school band. I have been playing for a year. I picked it up last June and have been awesome at it. I'm the only dude flutist at my school and the best dude flutist I know. I rock the kick-a** sound Jethro Tull style. I'm a softmore, and I want a career in music. Friend me, I want music friends biggrin

I have been playing for a year. I picked it up last June and have been awesome at it. I'm the only dude flutist at my school and the best dude flutist I know. I find it kinda dissapointing, actually. Flute gives the music flavor. I love the melodies that we get compared to everyone else. And its easy to put music together via piano on flute.

Flutes are not appreciated enough! The college I want to go to doesn't march flutes sad and marching is the best part of band.
I actually just got home from band camp... It sucked but, it was fun at the same time razz and the flutes will (hopefully) win Perfection section again!
