Savryn let go of the note as she felt his fingers and then the pressure with him taking it, knowing that it wasn't going to drop now. Always particular about handing things off to other people because she was not about to be responsible for breaking things. "I'm guessing those are some of daddy's vault junk. Or Dhairiss got in there and Khai caught him while he was visiting with Lin. Dhairiss does still sneak in there."

"Aw, isn't that darling." Reaching down she picked him up and gave him an affectionate nuzzle, looking over to the Chimera and noting that they were well aware as well. "Well...looks like I'm not even needed for that." Mumbling a few choice words under her breath before tending to the dragonling and pointing. "There. Do you see the three? The one in the middle is golden, like you."

"Shyrae. The one who was always getting caught in the draithix pins and would give her soul to be able to make the noises your brother does." He watched her reactions closely then turned his attention back to the note and reread it, trying to figure out what 'faster' meant. "Something like that. Malikhai is usually looking out for everyone else. Curse of the oldest." He should know, his own family's dynamics covered every single base and then some.

He nuzzled against her, his little body worn out through all the excitement. Sometimes he was just a dragonling in need of a guardian figure. His head perked up and he gazed over to the three figures. Suddenly he got excited. "Maybe it's my daddy? Maybe Mr. Cap'n sir and that sometimes mean lady found him and are bringing him back as a surprise just like Miss Brish said."

Thobias made his way onto his old ship to inform Gem of the news he'd received. He saw her with Cyvalor in her arms and chuckled. She really needed to have a couple of kids and settle down, even if she never left the sea. He'd grown up on a ship and so had she. Gently brushing his fingers through the boy's hair, he shook his head. 'Fraid not, son. That gold is the body of the Rider's second in command and the soul of Hunter Deacon soon to be named something else. The Laerethe and I had an interesting conversation."

"Damn this rock to the deepest depths of the sand!"

that was plainly heard as hunter dropped the rock yet again, this time on his foot while attempting to move his tail while holding it. before letting desdemona help him up the side rigging on the ship, which again wasn't easy because his dragon clawed fingers weren't quite as agile, not to mention a few times grabbing to hard actually broke some of the roping when his claws tore it.

Desdemona was already grateful for the help of the other, and would probably be relying more on her as things progressed. but right now she was trying to help Hunter rebalance himself on the ship. his 'sea legs' seemed intact...it was trying to balance his tail that was giving him grief this time.

"Daddy must have been talking to Khai then." Though her brothers had always had a tendency to be more watchful of her, even though her father was trying and had indeed always made sure she was at least safe. "He' still trying to teach her those noises though. Personally, I don't think he's very good at them." Then again, she could tell the difference between her brother and an actual animal.

"Oh is that what you're after? Every good pirate needs a goal." Chuckling lightly but indeed giving a slightly surprised look at Thobias spoke. "Well, Captain Robbins, I see that the Chimera is ever first informed. As for...the situation...I think I may be better off not caring, pointing a finger and laughing at him and about the whole thing." Watching as they boarded the other ship as well, giving a chuckle. "Cute. But a giant beacon."

"It's not the rocks fault." She held back the last part of her sentence and merely unfolded her wings, giving a jump and a wingbeat to get up to the deck, neverminding how anyone looked or startled or however they felt. She watched again and crossed her arms. "While we have control of our tails they also have a slight mind of their own and tendency to curl the end naturally to protect blades when standing. It does feel like it's trying to tug itself off sometimes, but it won't. Let it try to adjust you once more." Turning a look to Des, "Push him back into his new center of balance."

Kelligrin's eyebrow rose and he began thinking about some things but decided to remain silent about them. Laughing softly, he leaned back. "Really? Shyrae never stops singing his praises but I think she has a mini crush, too."

Cyvalor glanced out at the three and then frowned. "Are you sure?" His lower lip began to tremble and he valiantly tried not to sniffle. "So that's not my daddy..." That rush inside had suddenly been squashed.

He felt bad immediately. Reaching up, he gently rubbed the boy's back between his wings. He knew Cyvalor was afraid that Gem would think he was a baby if he began to break down and cry but he also wanted to make sure the boy knew it was okay to be upset. "Why don't we take a walk, Cyvalor? I've got something to show you."
PostPosted: Thu May 28, 2009 7:41 pm

"She does, it's easy to see...well, you know what I mean." Shaking her head. "He comes very very close but there's a light inflection in his voice that can be picked up. Most animals wouldn't think about it, but I hear it." Shrugging lightly, "Suppose I'm just a spoil sport."

And now the boy was upset and Robbins was even taking that away from her. This trip was getting less and less fun. Thusly she sat the little boy back to his feet and pretended to not care farther than that what the boys were going to do. "Bet it's shiny."

Hunter only grumbled lightly...but didn't say anything, while Des pushed and pulled and tugged to try and get him back in the aforementioned center of balance on a rocking ship. Not quite as easy as it sounded. grunting lightly.

"I want to talk to the female pain in my now dragonic a**."

Desdemona frowned lightly at that, but said nothing. after all she wasn't going to change his mind, and it'd probably be another of those questions she wasn't going to answer anyway. but she was getting frustrated herself.

"If you don't hold still I'm going to nail you to the hull. or beat you over the head with your rock, whichever I get my hands on first."

She growled at his words and promptly stalked over snapping her tail against his ankles and swiping them out from under him, making him fall hard to the deck. "It doesn't matter what body you're in, you're still a disrepectful worthless piece of flesh." Snorting and turning a look to Des, quite serious. "If you want to have me around, you will do well to curb that behavior in him. They may not always do what seems best but that does not mean they do not deserve the respect that is due to them. And I will not stand by and help someone who can't learn that or abide by it. Much less someone who should be grateful of how things turned out from it all. Unless he's unhappy as he is and I'd gladly end his misery as well. It's all a matter of choices."

"The question in my mind was always where it would go. Shy's...shy." Kelligrin glanced back over at her sharply and rolled his eyes. Why did she do that? "Spoilsport about what?"

"Not exactly and I think you should come too, Gem. He's going to want you more than he's going to want me." Taking Cyv's hand, he stepped off the ship and began walking towards the dragon's graveyard. One of the many things Eilynne and Rhasaveer informed him of was about the fate of Cyv's parents. The boy was on his own and his parents weren't coming back. He led the pair deeper into the graveyard until he came to a small stone altar and a pile of bones behind them. "Cyvalor...the Laerethe wanted me to show you where your parents are."

The little boy clutched Gem's hand tightly as they strolled through, his tail wrapping tightly around her ankle when they stopped. He was scared even if he wouldn't admit it. When Robbins beckoned to him, he stepped forward and stopped, blinking at the image before him. "So where are they? Behind here? Are they playing a game with me?"

Thunk on the deck with him, though he was now looking like a turtle on it's back trying to get himself righted with a new set of wings and tail to deal with.

Desdemona looked down at him and back at the other.

"You respect them for what they are. His disrespect is for what they have done. they arranged all this, true. however, he wouldn't be in this situation if that female hadn't ended his old life in the first place. We wouldn't have had to invade your territory had they aided earlier when asked to. Time after time we've asked for simple help, or for simple answers, and been refuted each and every one."

Hunter managed to half roll, half flop himself over on his side by now, grumbling some probably very unpleasent things toward his new help.

"A pirate life is not a clan life. we cannot afford to respect, those we cannot afford to trust. and right now, the female star child has offered no reason to trust her other then your own admission of the assumption that 'they know best'. We live and die by the crew with us. we have to be able to know that if things go south, that they'll stand with us. not flee, not stab us in the back, not hide away."

Up on hands and knees now...push up to stand for a second, before falling right back down on his back when his feet, not used to the difference in traction without boots, slid out from under him.

"The male I trust. he answers questions, he's there when you call on him, he's personable. he may not give answers you want to hear, but at least he acknowledges that you have questions, and that questions sometimes being answered is for the better. the female I don't trust her intentions. she's aloof, she treats everyone as pawns in some sort of game, and she only does anything when 'the goddess' deems fit, which seems to be inline with when her own personal views."

crossing her arms lightly.

"I respect the power they have. I don't respect how she treats those they are asking to risk life and limb for some obscure plan."

Glancing down at Hunter again.

"He's just brash and outspoken. always has been, it's a trait I happen to like. But I know I'm going to need your help. I don't know how to train or teach a dragonling. So I'll work on curbing his mouth for you, alright."

"If we're through talking about me like I'm not here flopping around like a freshly caught fish...would anyone mind helping me get on my feet?"

"She just needs to get out more. I tried, but you Intharas are very diehard when it comes to family. Not to mention Shyrae isn't the baby anymore, she has to enjoy that." Shrugging again. "Ruinging people's happy? After all, if I told Shy that he wasn't spot on, she'd only be upset. Even if it is true."

"I can only guess." Basically letting Cyv cling as she followedThobias, or rather Captain Robbins. It really did get to her and now she was running a ship as both captain and first mate. "Isn't this hallowed ground or somethings?" Not quite sure that she liked being here as she didn't have a wish to offend the dead. However...she understood quite well what Thobias was getting at about the little dragonling's parents. "Honey they're not playing with you. This is where your parents are. Or rather where their bodies and souls are resting...do you understand that?"

"You all miss one thing however. You're holding a grudge against something that is nonexistant. I remember when the Laerethe were here in the plane. You put any of them side by side and you may be able to pick them apart from each other by coloring or voice or such but not a single one of them is different in personality...because they have none. The females are cold creatures whom do what must be done for the reasons they must be done. All of them are like that. Same for the males, they are the communicators, the ones who handle others and curb the females some. All the same, not any truly unique unto themselves."

Snorting lightly and fluttering her wings as she turned her eyes down too to watch Hunter trying to right himself. At least Des was willing to try here to be a sort of peace maker. "Well...if you never try then you'll never learn. You tired, so we'll help now." Looking back up the Des. "Taerin perferred his more draconic features over more humanoid ones...of course since you lack the ability to change such things you will have to learn to live with it until you can." Shrugging some. "Or, we scare him. Dragonlings experience sporadic change and respond easily to it. Sneezes, scares, surprise...they change in whole or pieces. However...I suppose he's not easy to scare." Curling her tail around Hunter's middle, she pulled him up enough only so that he got his feet under him and stood, letting him balance before letting him go. "You have much much schooling ahead of you."
PostPosted: Fri May 29, 2009 10:27 pm

"We were raised that way. My parents would do anything for us kids and we'd do anything for each other as well. You D'vinn's aren't much different, you know. Dhairiss and Malikhai would do anything for you." Her mother would as well but he knew there had been issues in the past with her father and didn't want to bring any of that up. "She probably wouldn't believe you even if you did tell her. She's also quite stubborn as are most of my sisters. The new one's not likely to be any different. Comes from my mother, I suppose."

"It is but we have permission to be here. The Laerethe want this done." He was saddened by the child's reaction but it was to be expected. He didn't understand and wouldn't without some help. His hand gently curved around the boy's shoulder and he knelt down, pointing to the stone monolith that marked the top of the grave. "They're gone, Cyvalor. They aren't coming back."

"They're dead, aren't they?" His voice came out in a flat monotone as he glanced up at Robbins. Standing there in silence for a while, he suddenly changed emotions altogether as tears filled his eyes and began coursing down his cheeks. "NO! That's not fair! You said that was that pirate man and I know he died. How come my parents can't come back, too? They could...couldn't they? You just don't want me to know how! Well I know that elf lady went with him. I'm going to ask her. I'll bring them back. You'll see!"

"well they are the first two I've ever seen and they come off poorly on the female side."

Taking hunter by the arm and helping with his balance.

"Besides, you don't need to see either of them right now. you need to get yourself under control first. the last thing anyone needs is you getting in an arguement and destroying your ship with a spontanious dragon shift."

A slight grin.

"Personally, myself, I like the taloned digigrade feet in neutral form. I think it looks sexy. That's why I use them."

Glancing between them both and giving a resigned sigh.

"I hated school. But you are right. I don't want to hurt my lady by doing something I can't control when I can learn it first. Not to mention I'm at a distinct disadvantage. all the fighting skill I used to know are pretty much worthless in a body I can't control properly. So I can't put up a fight about it even if I wanted to.
"

"I know, I'm just saying is all. I miss her, honestly. But...that's the way things are and I'm used to being alone anyway. Less moral poking I guess." Granted she shouldn't warm up to the idea of a travel partner aside from Chy. The job was just easier without them as there was no one to question what was done. "You're all like your mother in that respect, even you."

Picking the boy back up she pet at him lightly, trying to get him to calm down while also giving him someone to cling to. "Treasure, not all people that die come back. Most would argue that they shouldn't come back...death isn't always a bad thing. It relieves all the bad things that were present in life and one can be at peace. Bringing them back would take that from them."

"Considering that Taerin was a massive dragon, yes you would crush your precious ship so try to take advice." Crossing her arms and taking a look down as yes the three of them were all sans boots with clawed paws for feet. Sexy wasn't her opinion entirely, but they were useful this way and she liked to be as close to her natural form as she could. "Good, compliance will only gain you better schooling. Where is that dragonling? He could use some too...you two can share classes."

"I'm surprised she didn't send you a letter as well. She might just be too busy with the new baby right now. Mom's not as young as she used to be and her pregnancy with Shy didn't go as easily as the others had so this one probably didn't either." He worried about his mother sometimes. If he had his way, his parents wouldn't be having anymore kids. "I'm not going anywhere. And I am not stubborn. Do you seriously think I'm as stubborn as my sisters?"

"But that's not fair! Cap'n's not nice and he doesn't deserve to come back. He's mean to the nice starry people and he even hit one of the elves. How come he gets to come back?" He started to squirm and glanced back at the bones then dropped his head to her shoulder. "But what about me? I don't have peace or any of that other stuff! I miss them and I want them and it's not fair that Cap'n sir can come back and my parents can't."
