((Looks good, Merc!))
Mairyela stood as Ariele left her office. Closing the door behind her, she sighed. There was work to be done. A list of girls that were being broght back had to be accounted for tomorrow, and each girl needed their roommates to be informed of their arrival. Not only that, but she felt the need to make a separate area for their studies alone, as she did not want the girls from the farm to disrupt the studies of the Novices and Accepted alreay under the Tower's roof.
Riffling through her papers, she soon found the list of women and girls currently at the farm. The list was larger than she had hoped, but she diligently went to work at the tasks ahead of her, even with the late hour.

((This is for you Raz!))
Far Away in Illian, a ship was bobbing up and down in the deep waters, beyond sight of the coast. Recently no new ships had come by. Likely they had scared them all off by now. Salvaging through the wrecks had found him some more rowing slaves, and the occasional unrealized da'mane, but nothing else of importance.
But tomorrow was another day. The coastfolk were of no danger. The Sea Folk slightly more so, because they possessed da'mane whom they used unleashed. If one of their ships passed, he usually allowed it to slide. A Power battle could be dangerous if his channelers did not destroy the other in time.
There was a gentle, rhythmic hissing sound coming from all over the ship. Some from the lower decks, one on deck, and one in the crow's nest. He smiled. The lo'par were effective watchdogs, to prevent the prisoners from trying to escape. It only helped that the folk feared them as giant reptiles. Stretching, he went to get some rest.

((Thank ya))
Raznon left the White Tower the next day with plenty of rations and with plenty of men. He had looked at the maps within the tower and they showed him where this Illian was and one of the Gaidin showed him where the channelers were last spotted. He quickly devised that it might take them a week to get to where they needed to be.
As they left the gates and headed east toward the channelers. From time to time a couple of the Gaidin would speak among each other as would the few other wetlanders among them would. Raznon felt no need to talk with any of them. For all they were concerned he was a savage and they were only following because they had been ordered to. Most would not follow his commands and since most were not of the Tower Guards he did not expect them to. He tried to keep things simple on eye level. They all trusted the Swordmaster so Raz was content to tell the Swordmaster what to relay to them.
After traveling for most of the day, and contrary to what he would have done himself, the wetlanders made camp for the night. They caroused around the fires they had set up...some drank...some sang...but most did not drink thier fill because he wouldn't let them. They had a mission to accomplish and Raz was not about to kill one of these men because they decided they should lead and the savage should die.
They broke camp early with no signs of trouble. Raz felt something distant in his mind, like that of wolves howling in protest or outrage, but he blocked that from his mind. There was no room when he needed to concentrate. He was constantly thinking of possible situations that might arise...but none that he prepared himself for was what happenned though he should have.
One of the Illianers as they were called got it into thier head that they would challenge command from the Swordmaster...well they hadnt realized that the "savage" was in charge. As Raznon stepped forward the wetlander spat at him...in the instant that he did Raz's spear drove into the mans neck between his armor. The wetlander made a satisfying gurgle and fell to the ground. The Gaidin had watched with little interest and the others had watched in fascinated horror. From that point noone questioned his leadership. He still let the Swordmaster act as the leader but the whole group knew who was in charge.
Another day had gone by and they were still days away from thier goal. It was the animals the wetlanders rode that slowed them down...but they kept up better on them than on foot.
Two more days, Raz thought, two more days and soon we'll be where we need to be. He still heard the wolves...but he still ignored them...in all honesty...he wanted nothing to do with them.

Eight days of travelling passed without incident, once Raznon had taken care of the one rowdy upstart. The Swordmaster approved of both the way Raznon was commanding, and of the Gaidin's respectful behavior. Enough that they all put aside their differences to work together.
While he didn't mind being on the road, something was itching at the back of his mind. He felt strange being there. So before they started on the next day, he called them all.
"I feel strange being here...my soldier's instinct tells me you will be fine on your own, and that I am needed elsewhere. Back at the Tower, training the recruits. I am responsible for its safety, and will return. If you need any assistance, send word to the Tower. You know Raznon is in charge, and I trust you all to adhere to that. Any complaints will be adressed to me, or worse, to the Keeper. I suggest you avoid that."
The last remarks were made not for the benefit of the Gaidin, but as a warning to the Illianers. "May the Light shine on you all." Turning to Raznon, he nodded solemnly. "And may you always find shade, and water. Was that it? Best of luck."
He turned and packed his things to head back to the Tower.

Mairyela woke with a start. The sun shone through a crack in the curtains on her window, brilliant though dulled in color, indicating that the sun had risen not moments before. She found herself bent over her work, hair spread across papers, and she rose, stretching. Feeling a pop from her shoulder, which eased tension significantly, she walked to the window and threw back the curtain. The view from her office was amazing, and the sun painted the city and countryside a bright orange. She couldn't help but smile at it.
Turning back to her desk, she organized her paperwork. It was complete for the most part. The only thing left to do was inform their roommates that they were returning, and have the help of a Warder to set up their temporary study hall. The Browns would hate the fact that she had to use part of the library, but it was the only place she could manage on such short notice. The Warders had the training grounds outside, and the rest of the rooms inside were for Novice and Accepted studies, which was not to be interrupted. Grabbing a few papers off her desk, she headed out of her office and down to the eating hall, which is where all Novices and Accepted should be by now. It would be the place to make her announcement.

Raznon loped on ahead of the group. Another day without instant and now they came upon a "river"...a wetlander word for a body of water about 100 paces across...after following the river he sought civilization. Normally he would have avoided them but seeing as how he had plenty of wetlanders to gather intelligence for him. It seemed a good idea at the time. Raznon let the group enter the city...it seemed to be the capitol of this country but noone decided to let him know the name. He didnt really care.
As time moved on he decided it would be good to make sure his men were doing thier job and gathering his information. He scaled the walls and eventually made entry into the city using roof tops. He made sure to stay hidden from the populace as this might cause a panic. He located the Warders swiftly. They were busy milling about the city prying information from contacts they had known themselves. None used thier names which puzzled Raz to no end.
The Illianers were far harder to locate but he did locate them. They were not a tactful and or aware as the Warders were. They caroused in inns and drank information from thier contacts. Except for one of them...he did very little...but he did do one thing of note. When Raznon found him he was down by the docks speaking his language very quickly. He continuously looked over his shoulder as if he knew Raz was there. But he did not find him. Raz continued to watch and noticed that the wetlander began making stabbing motions with his hands that looked vaguely like the Dance.
"That one betrays us to my target..." Raznon said to himself.
Raznon loped away over roof tops making sure to collect the others before they returned at the agreed upon time. Raz explained what was happenning with the other traitor among the group. He reasoned that this man and the man Raz killed were trying to stop them from reaching thier goal. The Warders nodded in thier silent determination and the others immediatly began to shout for the mans head. Raz quieted them and had them set up an ambush for the man and the people he would undoubtedly bring with him.
As Raz watched the men set up he grinned in knowing that they had taken what he said without question and without fear. These men would do as he asked...
Raznon moved to help set up and when it was all said and done thier ambush was complete. Now all that was needed was the traitor and his men.

Walking along the hallways, Mairyela had to suppress a few yawns. Though it seemed as though the night had been long to some, and she new she had slept a good many hours, it felt as though she only just gotten a small nap. It must be the fact that I slept at my desk last night she thought to herself.
Almost missing the hallway she was destined for, she made a quick left and almost found herself walking headlong into a Green Sister and her Warders. Startled, Mairyela fought to keep Aes Sedai calm.
"My apologies, Sister." She acknowledged the Green. Though very close in the Power, the Sister held just the slightest of seniorities among the two women. She did not recognize the womans face, nor could she recall ever seeing her in the Tower before. Being shorter than the woman did not seem to make matters better, as it seemed the Green to be staring down her nose at her.
The Green Sister looked down at her for a moment more before rearranging her skirts. "Apology accepted. Just be more cautious of where you are going next time." Without another word, she swept past Mairyela into the corridor she had just vacated. As her Warders passed her, she caught their scents. One smelt as though he had just ended a grueling training session. The other was like nothing she had ever smelt before. Looking at the man as he past, she took him in. Tall, dark hair and the most piercing blue eyes she had ever seen. Before rounding the corner, they're eyes locked. His gaze left her rooted to the spot, and slightly breathless; not from awe, but from fear.

Mercury found herself dozing off at her desk. She had spent the night without sleeping, trying to figure out how to get rid of the watch. None of the names were any she could influence on such short notice. She could of course always order them away, but that would cause suspicion. Hawk placed a hand on her shoulder, and she started suddenly, shoving other papers on top of what she had been looking at.
"Mercury, you can't be considering this...truly. You heard what Markis said, and I don't approve of it myself." He said, pushing her hand aside and glancing at the schedule.
She looked back up at him, with somewhat red eyes. Her mind was running in circles. She was about to protest, when Wolf cut her off. She wasn't quite sure when he had entered, or where from.
"You can think about what to do later...first, go get some sleep." His tone brooked no argument, and she had no energy herself. Reluctantly, she put the papers inside the desk and locked it, before going to get a few hours sleep in the early light. Maybe she would get some ideas once she had some rest.
The two watched her go, frowning. They had already slept the night, so they went to start the days' training.

"....and he supposedly slit his throat there, without any preamble or warning! And those Tower Warders of course didn't so much as flinch I'm sure; probably just accepted it as destiny or whatever other nonsense those witches feed them...."
The man he was talking to raised a hand to quiet him. He wore a large wide brimmed hat, which not only kept the sun out of his eyes, but kept his face hidden, and out of the eyes of others. "Do not fear. We will be able to handle them. After all, we are friends to their foes. I cannot accompany you today. I have other business. I will see you tonight at the inn. Your workers are already there by now I'm sure."
He turned and walked away. He was unaware that Raznon had been watching, and therefore did not bother with any more caution than he felt necessary.
The traitor watched the man go for a moment, before continuing on. He turned back to the inn where he was staying. Some minutes walk later, he entered into a modest inn. He looked around. It was filled with all kinds of men. However, what he was looking for he found in the sole of their boots. A small golden circle painted so as not to leave a mark, and not be seen unless one was looking for it.
He counted, and approximated twenty of the Whitecloaks. Now to go see if he couldn't trap one of those Tower Warders....he turned to go, knowing that slowly the men would follow. He ambled the streets idly, with the men close behind, heading for the gate, to see if he couldn't learn where they had gone.

It was near dusk when the traitor finally made his way towards the meeting place. He seemed to be methodically following the signs that were meant to be the groups signal to relocate. The men behind him trailed slowly each with a blade slung on thier backs or on thier hips. Raznon watched the procession from the distance. His eyes seemed to be able to see as good in the night as in the daylight but Raz barely thought on it. He wanted blood from the traitor and payment of this type would be recieved.
Slowly the men entered the farm courtyard if it could be called that much. The man who had betrayed them was on edge because none of his so called friends were there to greet them and the men behind him were getting restless and muttering. As the last Whitecloak entered the courtyard the Illianers moved up from behind and held bows at the ready. The Whitecloaks spun to meet them but the notching of other bows stayed their hands. Upon the roof tops Warders stood in there color shifting cloaks with their own bows drawn. The Whitecloaks realized too late that they themselves would be the ones being slaughtered and captured. Raznon left the house with two of the Warders trailing on either side of him. It made quite a bit of show of force if you had seen them face to face. An Aiel alone was a worthy adversary but an Aiel and two Warders? This was more than enough for them to think they came ill prepared.
Raznon looked at the men. "It would do you all well to drop your weapons. Otherwise these wetlanders will kill you where you stand."
The men looked at Raz hard and none spoke to him. Raznon knew he and the Warders were quick enough to get out of the way of the Illianers arrows. He looked at the one that thought he would walk away from this but the man would not meet his gaze. Suddenly one of the men shouted and all of the rest of the men answered his call with a sudden sound of twenty blades leaving thier sheaths. Raz had his answer. He leapt out of the path of the arrows but threw his knife into the chest of the man that had betrayed them. The man stared at the knife then at Raznon with a look of disbelief and fear. As he toppled to the ground six more of the men were taken down with arrows and five were wounded. Raznon gave the signal and charged the group with the two Warders setting up flanking positions. The Illianers had thier swords out as well but not as quickly. Raz became a flurry of stabbing and dodging but managed to recieve a few cuts here and there. Soon there were no more enemies left and Raz was surrounded by four dead men. One of the wetlanders in his group had fallen to one of the other wetlanders but none of the others had fallen.
One of the men from the attacking group was still alive it seemed. After Raz's group had cleaned thier weapons and disposed of the bodies the one surviver was brought to him.
Raz looked at him closely noticing he was like the other wetlanders that came from this region. Then he went through everything the man had in his possession. Some money, a couple of trinkets from the local shops in the city...but nothing of interest. What was of interest was the odd mark on all of thier boots. One of the Warders mumbled something about "Whitecloaks..." but Raz didnt really know anything about it. Raz shrugged and went to the wounded man.
"Do you work for the ones causing the problems out in the great waters? What was your plan with us...what do you want?"
Raz waited patiently holding the mans gaze.

Hawk and Markis sparr for a few hours, after they left Mercury to get some sleep. He can feel her presence somewhere at the back of his neck. Sparring with Markis brings back memory when they were still training to become gaidins. They both hold their training swords in perfect balance and moves from one stance to another. Agile like cats hunting their prey. After a final blow, they lower down their swords and salute each other, before leaving the training ground. Hawk channeled and open a gateway to the gaidins quarter. He closed it again when Markis came through the gateway and went to his room. Hawk enter his room and refreshed himself before getting back to the keepers quarters, even though he have set some of the accepted to guard Mercury's door, he is more assured if he is there closeby. He channeled saidin and open a gateway to Mercury's bedroom. He then entered the gateway and close it behind him. Hawk sit on a chair close to Mercury watching over her and the room at the same time.
