Question: The Byakugan is an evolution of the Sharingan correct? Ranmaru's eyes can fool and negate even the Byakugan, yes? So... could Ranmaru's eyes negate the Sharingan's ability to see through genjutsus?

Well, Byakugan only has the ability to see chakra systems. >> So yes, it can fool the byakugan user in that way. and same with sharingan

All Doujutsu except Rinnegan are believed to have originated from some mutation of it.
