"May I write it myself? I do love to write, even if it is just my name."

He gave another smile, resting his hands on the front desk. Luic had always done this, no matter where he was. Though he'd been doing less in the more recent days. "Le nom? What can I call you?"

Throwing a glance over his shoulder, he noticed two other females, and just had to wonder if there were any males running around. Or if this was just some kind of convent for the women who wanted to 'change' their ways. Whatever ways that they would be, that is.

"Of course." Ikue handed him the feathered quill, turning the book around to face the man, and pushed the bottle of ink closer to him. The girl adjusted her glasses a bit. "My name? It's Ikue. Ikue Uehara. Um, do you have any luggage?"

Ryoko eyed her sister with the same slightly wry look she'd displayed earlier and shrugged, dismissing her sister's apparent ill humor. Instead, she merely increased her stride, moving effortlessly into a sleek glide that ate up the remaining ground between herself and the front doors even while remaining effortless. Catching up with the younger Feral, she looked down at her sister, green eyes flickering with a diversion that was nevertheless tainted with not a little irony.

"Rest is one of the best healers of wounds, you will recall," she reminded her sister dryly, pressing down the natural Feral inclination to lash out at disrespect. This *was,* after all, Mimi. "At any rate, you recall our pact. The hunting is excellent here and I'm going now to take advantage of it. Since you're already here, it will be an excellent chance for you to get a little blood on your claws." She bared her fangs in a darkly savage grin. "Would you like to come?"

Luic with held his laughter as the girl spoke her name to him. He quickly found the space that he was suppose to write in, gently took the feather quill from Ikue and dipped it into the bottle of ink. With what looked like a few scribbles, his name was written in a very old style of handwriting. The way the 'L' curved made it seem like he had taken five minutes to just write that. It hardly seemed rushed at all.

Offering her the pen back, he whispered to himself, "Ha ! Cette fille est tombée pour mon tour!"

He managed to swallow his laughter as a serious look crossed his face when he looked at Ikue. "You have now just given me the power to control your every move, and do whatever I want with your body. With just the power of your name, I can take ahold of every cell in your body that has your name. Then again, that is only an old wive's tale in France. Never speak your name to strangers, Miss Uehara."

-That complexion of hers, normally rosy and gleeful suddenly took the color of alabaster at Ryoko's words. It took all the energy and will she possessed to fight back the urge to shiver or run away. Hunt? She'd never hunted....at least actively. Mimi had always gone off with her older siblings and knew how to stalk prey, paralize it with a glare, pounce and forth.. but kill? It was something Mimi had avoided at all costs and often managed to get by upon finding a recent kill and passed it off on her own.

Cornered, that's what she was at the moment. There was no avoiding the task wether she liked it or not. She had, after all, made a pact with her sister. There was no backing out now. Her gaze shifted up to Ikue, lips parting into a forced smile.- Take care of the hotel while I'm gone-- I'll be back in a few hours. If Hakan asks where I am...just...

-The girl hesitated, her cheeks acquiring a rosy tint once more. Hakan.. the last thing she wanted was to have him run into her in the middle of a hunt.- If Hakan asks where I am tell him I'll be fine and not to worry-- I'm out with my sister.

-Hopefully the simple mention of Ryoko would keep him at bay. If he woke up that is. Without another word she spun on her heel and waited until those damned doors opened before stepping out.- Lead the way.

{Eep! Computer spazzed! Man, took forever to fix!}

Cerise, having long since forgotten why she was in the lobby, took it upon herself to perch on the front desk. The lobby was filling with people, and she figured this was the best place to watch from.

Oh goody. Ikue felt like she couldn't trust anyone anymore. She managed to keep that smile glued to her face. "Well, thank you for that advice Mr.." Ikue glanced at the man's name, which was written in the book. "Vincent. That'll be two golds (I have no idea how much it is per night).. and which floor would you like your room to be on? Ah, and do you have any luggage with you?"

Ikue nodded, smiling as well. "Alright. I'll be sure to tell Mr. Hakan that."

Luic just reached out a hand and brushed her cheek with his hand, still smiling. "Ah! Don't worry, mon petit chou! I don't beleive in such things. I only warned you because some people do!"

Having said that, he pulled his hand away from her cheek and fished in his pocket for some money. As soon as he laid it onto the table, he frowned somewhat. "All I've got is some French coins that have been weighing down my pocket for near a century. That should cover a night's stay, shouldn't it? And the first floor, if at all possible."

He was avoiding the luggage question, since he hadn't any.

Ryoko frowned mentally, not unaware of Mimi's change of color. She loved hunting, but her sister seemed almost...afraid?

The older Feral shugged it off, biting her tongue to stop the almost automatic taunt that came to her lips. Ky-chan, she reminded herself, was different. The usual way kits were taught hadn't worked for her.

"Come then," she said, leading the way. Her long hair danced about her almost equally pale face and form as she moved through the door past her sister to take the lead. With her hair loose and flowing, Ryoko had the aching beauty of a winter angel, all ice and silver. Her ruthless emerald eyes and the deadly grace she displayed as she stepped out the door, however, destroyed that superficial impression of her. She lifted her head and scented the air, then turned back to her sister, a cruel smile curving her pale lips.

"Go on and scent it, Ky-chan," she hissed, her voice holding a hint of dark eagerness already. "Do you smell it to the east?"

Ikue nodded gently, letting out a small sigh of relief. At least she wasn't getting all tense like she did with Neit, who was trying to mess with her mind. Ikue took the French coins, putting them beside the cash register. "Yes, that'll do. On the first floor? One moment, please." The girl turned around, facing the wall where all the keys were hung up. She randomly selected a key for the first floor, which read Room 1E.

"Alright, this way, sir," Ikue said as she headed over to the lift. Once the doors opened, the girl stepped aside so that Luic can get inside the elevator.

He followed her without missing a beat, still smiling. Just as Ikue had stepped into the elevator to make room for Luic, he seemed to already be in there, standing beside her with his hands behind his back. He seemed very energetic for someone who was just serious a moment or two ago. "Trusting that you won't try to gain control of my body, I shall tell you my name. It is Luic Vincent. Not Luke like the English names. Pronounce it, Lou-eek. Just all together at once."

Luic turned to face her, tilting his head to the side somewhat. "And you seem formal, mon petit chou. What is bothering you?"

Everyone was busy, and poor Cerise was left clueless, idly sitting on top of the front desk like a moron.

Ok! I've got three choices! I can explore, play the stair game, or find a broom closet! Ooo! Broom closet! I love mops! With that rather odd thought, she hopped off the desk and scurried off in a random direction.

"'Tis a pleasure to meet you, Luic." Ikue blinked. "Ah.. well..." The young medium rubbed the back of her neck gently. "My day wasn't all that great, that's all." She decided not to go into detail, for she thought it might be rather direspectful to just blabber like that in front of a guest. It didn't take long to get to the first floor, and the doors seperated once again. Ikue stepped out and started walking over to Room 1E, glancing over her shoulder to see if Luic was following.
