I am a ways away from crying out "Freedom!" which will be when I've graduated from college. Though I am actually enjoying college at the moment.
In Jazz class, we learned how to do the coffee grinder and how to hold ourselves up in the 'frog stand.' It was so much fun. ^^ The coffee grinder, a break dancing technique. Frog stand! The dude doing the frog stand is actually doing it a little bit differently than how we learned it though. My dance teacher taught us to put our elbows as close to our belly button (or pelvis) as possible, while our knees were facing outwards, and while holding ourselves up with our hands. mrgreen

Wow, that's kindo' intense. I took lyrical jazz, we didn't learn any of that though... I suppose that makes sense though. The frog stand (the one in the video) is how I was taught to do a hand stand. You start with that and then push yourself up and extend your legs. or, you know, put your head on the ground so your spine can support some of your weight -that's a lot easier sweatdrop

I will be graduating this may as a Registered Nurse in the Army, so I'm pretty good with physiology and research, and stuff, and I'm alright at land navigation and shooting things (not people), but not history or math really. What are you going to school for?

In this jazz class, we are supposed to learn hip hop on Tuesday's and jazz on Thursday's, but since the teacher was out sick on Tuesday, we learned both jazz and hip hop today.
We're actually learning how to stand on our hands by 'falling down' into it with our hands up in the air, going down, and then pushing/jumping our feet up. I think we will eventually be learning how to do a head stand and how to spin around on our heads.

I'm currently majoring in dance, though I'm not very good at it, so I'm also am looking around at something else to major in in order to do for a long time. I definitely want to do something that I think I would enjoy for a long period of time. Dance, or more specifically choreography is something that I think I would love to do for a long time. I'm really good at history and math; they're two of my strongest subjects at the moment.

Wow, that's pretty intense!
yeah, Lyrical Jazz kindo' goes the other way - it's a combination of Jazz and Ballet. I wish you the best of luck with that. 3nodding
I love history, I'm just not so good at it. I can remember it alright if it's like, something I see on the history channel, or a book (that's no a text book) or if I hear it like a story - but the way a lot of people teach it these days I just can't remember anything!

Lyrical dancing is actually the only kind of dancing allowed in the Fine Arts Festival currently. (In this case, Fine Arts is a part of the Assemblies of God which allows kids 12-18 and in 6th to 12th grade to participate. In my case, they allowed dancing... the year after I could no longer participate in it. gonk )
Maybe you could look up stories relating to the subject that you're learning about on wiki or somewhere else on the internet where they tell about it in story form. Maybe you could even go to the local library to see if they have books or movies on it. mrgreen

Anyone want to split some time with me?

I'm doing alright; I have prayed for you. Please continue to keep on keeping on. Don't worry about what anyone says just keep moving. The Lord is with you forever.
In our church we learned about how its important to rest like God did on the 7th day. Just remember to give some time to God.

Hello, Yuri, welcome to the guild. I hope you do make friends here.
Thank you very much, I hope to make friends here too. God is showing me a different way to pray for people online because I'm to scared to pray in real life.

I actually talked to someone at my church about that and she said that others are afraid also. heart mrgreen sweatdrop

Ah, why are you scared to pray in real life? Nothing to be scared of if you're by yourself, although I wouldn't blame you if you were nervous praying around others.
