Dragon Hawk
Hawk still leaning on a post watch the crowd with emotionless face while one of the emsarry is talking. Watching for a sudden move that will mean any trouble. He is at ease but ready for anything that might come in an instant trouble. The emisarry asks a question. When he spoke again he didnt give a notice if his word sounds cold or dry. As of now we are invistagting the matter and fortifying the city for the protection of the townpeople.

There was silence from the messengers as looks were exchanged between them. Finally one of them spoke.

"That may be true....but," he hesitated a moment in the face of all the stony faces-both of Aes Sedai and Warder-before him, "we feel that the Tower is doing this not because they truly have any interest...but more as a formality. And a formality will not ease our minds."

The Swordmaster spoke up. "So what would you propose the Tower do?" None of the Aes Sedai present bothered to correct his breach of authority; it was the same question they were all thinking.

"We would like to take the matter up with the higher powers of the Tower, but it seems that would not be possible." Rather it seems you're not willing to take us to the Amyrlin. "So instead, we request that along with the patrols that you have already dispatched, you grant us the presence of a few persons of the Tower, whom we shall name, to return with us. And to stay until such time as this matter has been resolved."

If possible, the room went even more silent than before. The Aes Sedai glanced at one another and glided out of the room. It was plain they were going to discuss the matter, in private. The Gaidin, for their part, stayed behind. The glances exchanged between them spoke of their unease with the situation. A few minutes passed, with the messengers surveying the Towerfolk with quiet patience. The sisters returned.

"We do not know if such a request will be possible."

The visitors spoke again. "May we be so bold as to ask why? Certainly the Tower has nothing to fear from other channelers. And there of course no other threats to the Tower."

The sisters easily hid grimaces. The Keeper's order to keep everyone away from Tel'ar'an'hoid still lacked an explanation. But if she had given a command, it was no doubt serious. Serious enough that neither of the two women had been seen outside their offices for a couple of days. But they could not reveal such a weakness to the messengers; nor could they deny the request without telling them the situation.

The messenger was continuing on. "We would either you grant this request now, or else we would like to take the matter up with the Hall of the Tower, and the Amyrlin. It is easily a matter which could affect all of the Tower.

Nor do we intend to be unreasonable in our request. Certainly we would not be so foolish as to take anyone you direly need." He paused, trying o find some kind of a reaction behind those bloody masks the Aes Sedai managed.

The sisters glanced about themselves, and finally somehow or other decided on one woman to speak for them all. She seemed slightly older than the others, and had said nothing till now. But there was no doubt that any and all consequences of this decision would be her responsibility. "Very well. Your request is granted. However, you are only allowed seven members to take with you. And only those who are free to go."

The messengers nodded, and began discussing between themselves. Finally, some ten minutes later, they spoke. "We have trust in whom you will send in your patrol, and so we do not ask the company of any Aes Sedai other than whom the Tower will send." There were nods of approval at this from all parties. "We would like the company of some Gaidin. As we have little time, we would like them to be from those present." He began indicating the seven.

"These are the seven whom we choose. We will not take anyone else. You are all requested to come, within an hour's time."Of the seven, three were able to go. Another two were bonded, but to Greens who had other Warders who could protect them. One was bonded to a White, who was present, and granted him permission to go.The problem arose when the fourth person he indicated was Hawk. There was some muttering here. The Gaidin knew Hawk would be unwilling to leave the Keeper unprotected, but it was also known that Markis had just returned. Again, they could not offer a valid reason to keep him back from the messengers, but the sisters could not go back on their word. The messengers were unwilling to compromise as well.

The messenger pigeon coop was busy as always. A steward untied the scroll from one of the pigeon's legs, and replaced it in the cage. The message was sealed, and addressed simply,

To the Mistress of Novices.

He took the note and delivered it to her desk.

The letter's contents were as follows:

To the Mistress of Novices:

The weather seems to bore ill, though we cannot say when the storm clouds will arrive. The strength of the storm is not predictable, and we are worried that we may not be able to weather it here. However, those here have been placed here for a reason, and it may not be wise to return them to the others. However, the decision remains for you to make. The farm will await the verdict.

There may not be much time, but that is no cause to rush a decision. Consider well, and then direct our charges as you wish.

Wishing the Tower well,
The Overseer

It was plain to anyone that the sister in charge of the farm for misbehaving trainees had some cause to feel that something could go wrong.

Romvian came to the point quickly. "I would personally have preferred not to deal with the nuisance that is conquering the Tower. However, it is coming in the way of what I seek. Whether or not it will be of any use in the future is difficult to say, but for the sake of pursuing my goal with ease, I will conquer it.

You know well that I have Clarissa." He watched as Mercury's eyes narrowed at the mention of the Amyrlin. "I could well torment her, but for the moment, I have poisoned her. It will take time, but it is not a poison known to your land. I also have the antidote. I will administer it to her, and also return her to the Tower. In return, I demand access to your company at any time, during which you will answer any and all questions I may have. Oh, and of course, any failure to do so on your part will result in my more direct methods.

Also, the Wolfkin...there are two of them among your Aes Sedai. You have warned them to stay away from Tel'ar'an'hoid. I am now giving you another reason to remind them of your warning: should they trespass here, I will take action. Not just against them, but against all their lupine friends, who will be very easy to find. Do not push me into becoming a hunter Keeper."

He looked around, and two orbs came floating to him. Mercury recognized them as Alina's and Mairyela's. They were of course heavily warded by both the sisters, and her own weaves. "Repeat my message to them; it will arrive when next they rest." He watched as Mercury placed her hands through the protective wards. Romvian then placed his hand over the Keeper's, and let his message go through, in the voice of the Keeper of course. Once done, he turned. "Think on your decision. Ask your Hall if you wish. It matters not to me. I will await your reply."

Then, without any suggestion as to how the Keeper was to inform him of her decision, he vanished. Tel'Dashar, held at bay, quickly swept in, and Mercury left as quickly as she could. She awoke, gasping for breath, and in a foul mood. She calmed herself, and then opened the bonds. Hawk was down in the visitors rooms, so she decided to leave him be.

Hawk was still holding saidin and everything was clear. He is one with his sorroundings and one with his inner fire. He know that Merc's disappearance is one of Romvian's small tricks to invade the tower. And how much he want to do something about it, theres nothing he can do at moment. Suddenly, Merc's presence hits him and she seems to be in a foul mood and gasping for air. She seems to be back in her bedroom. Without wasting anymore seconds, Hawk channel saidin and open a small gate to her room. He entered the gate and travel to her room, the gateway closes automatically as he entered. Hawk find Merc on her bed a bit calm now. He walks to her bed and as he get closer he smell her scent clearly strengthen by saidin. Though he is holding saidin, it made him warm inside just looking at her.

As Hawk get closer to her, his focus is in the room searching for any danger. But he can find anything as of moment. Hawk reach Merc's bed and stayed close to her, watching her. He took another step and reach for her hand to help her up from her bed. As their bodies collides he can feel her trembling. What ever was it that made her be in such position, it would be something hard for her to swallow. Hawk know her enough to be a stubborn person and not easy to tremble. Hawk just hold her in his arms till she manage to calm herself better. As minutes goes by he wonders, hows the meeting is going on downstairs. But one thing is sure, he will not leave his aes sedai for anything. His bond to her is far greater than just an ordinary bond between gaidin and aes sedai, even though she couldnt see it sometimes.

Alina didn't really know where to go. She didn't really know what to do. She was sure something was happening, but being so new to the shawl she wasn't really part of the loop. Even thought she had been through so much, and her skill was extraordinary, she was still new to it all.
I have to find someone I trust she thought as she walked along. "Dupre, I need you to go and find the head of my Ajah, her name is..."
"As you say Aes Sedai" Dupre bowed to her and glared at Kakashi before walking away swiftly.
As soon as he was out of sight she stopped and turned to Kakashi. "I had to send him away. Something is going on and I am not yet sure that he is..who he says he is...I hate that i doubt myself, I feel him in my mind, I know that it IS the man i bonded... but i cannot be sure he is not still being controlled. You understand..."
She looked around at where she was and realized she was near the Keepers quarters.
"It is doubtful to think she is here but we should try anyways, maybe she will tell me something. What do you think?" Alina turned to gaze at her Warder.

Returning Durpre's glare with his own flat stare Kakashi shrugged as the man left their sight. Looking down at Alina he sighed and shook his head. "I understand. Can't really say I know full well what's going on right in front of me, but I understand." Looking around as Alina mentioned someone telling them something of use he shrugged again. "Who can say? Seems everything is uncertain these days."

Alina sighed and rubbed her upper arm, as if she felt a chill that was not really there. "You are right, In today's world you don't know who you can trust. Old friends may turn out to be enemies. But you cannot live your life not trusting anyone, you will only end up sad and alone." She looked up at him and blinked. Then she reached out and patted his arm in comfort.
"But don't worry, I know of someone we can trust."
She walked on with him trailing behind, keeping an eye on her back from invisible predators. She thought the Keeper could help... no, she KNEW the keeper WOULD help. She had to. Wasn't that her job?
"It's just up a little ways. Somthing is happening Kakashi, I am not sure what, but I must find out!"

((THank hawk that we are back tbh! He made a toon on my server and bugged me razz ))

Nodding, Kakashi followed alongside and just a step behind Alina. He could smell her uneasiness, but shrugged it off. He just hoped she was right in that they would find answers where they were going. He mostly certainly would like to know what was happening in this place anymore as well.

Alina walked up to the door she knew lead to the Keepers quarters. The tiles on the floor here leaned heavily towards blue, though the Tower was built with all Ajahs in mind, she found this ironic. Funny how you notice the oddest things when you are doing something that makes you uneasy she thought to her self. Bracing herself, she smoothed her dress over her hips, and gave a small nod to Kakashi. "Well, " she said softly, "I hope we find our answers inside this door..." She felt as if she were a Novice once again, standing in front of the Mistress of Novice's door, not an Aes Sedai, standing before another Aes Sedai's door, albeit, the Keepers, but still another Aes Sedai.
Knocking quickly she called out "Keeper, its Alina, do you have time for a short visit?"
When no one responded she looked at Kakashi and said, "She should be in, its late after all." Dinner had just finished and no one was really out at this time anymore.
For the first time she looked around her, and sniffed at the air. Something didn't smell quite right. "Do you smell that? What is that smell? It smells....hard.... like something..." she let her words trail off, not being able to think of the word.

After a long while of comforting his aes sedai. She had calm helself and is back to her own self. Serious and beautiful as always. Hawk ask her what was it that made her in such condition. She was about to answer him when he suddenly felt a presence by the door. Through their bond she could sense it as well. Abruptly she is back to being aes sedai as someone call for her. By the sound of the voice coming out it was Alina. Hawk look at his aes sedai with an unspoken question. He have his own idea what its about but didnt mention it. There's something in the air that dont feel right. He just nod at her and walk to the door with a grace similiar to a panther on a hunt for its prey. His warder cloak changes colors and melt with the sorroundings as he pace to the door. The door revealed Alina and one of her chosen warder Kakashi. He pierce his sight at their sorroundings as if he is trying to figure out any danger at hand. His being is at ease but always ready if something is about to pop out. Hawk nods at the younger warder, before letting them inside the keepers quarter. As they enter Hawk close the door and made his way back to his aes sedai. He took a guarding positon close to her.

Alina walked into the room without a word, as that seemed to be the mood at the moment. She flicked her eyes to her left and Kakashi silently stood right behind her left shoulder.
As Hawk closed the door she looked at him, and cocked her head to the side. He smelled...ready if anything. Ready for something to happen, and not something good.
Turning to the Keeper she bowed her knees and nodded her head slightly. "Keeper...I won't milk this, or beat around the bush. Making this lighter then they really are is a waste of good time and energy, so I must know..." Without much more of a preamble she went into telling the Keeper what she had seen and felt around the Tower lately. "So you see...there must be something going on! But I don't really understand what it is. I was hoping you would have some idea..." She trailed off as she looked at the Keeper more closely. She was in quite a state, she seemed unsteady under her Aes Sedai calm, and she smelled as if she were not all there. Not in a crazy way, but in a tired way. As if she to, had something going on.
Alina casually folded her hands behind her back, with the palm of her left hand on top of that of her right, facing outward toward her Warder, feeling for him to grasp it. At least he, she knew, was real. Is this real? I hope that's really the Keeper... She had never known the Keeper to seem worn out or weary over anything.

((I hope that made some sense, its 1am and i havent slept more then an hour and a half in the past 24 razz btw Hawk we got Sarthon three drakes down on 25man today!!!))
