Edmond venture further into the city away from the iceberge lounge. He walked towards the end of the block and took a right before walking a few more blocks to the hardware store he was looking for. When he arrived he walked around the inside a bit. Edmond had been here many times buying just small trivial things and not once had he suspected it would be anything more than a hardware store. He was still disguised as Eric monte, with the fake stubble and the eye patch. He even still had his hat on. After a few minutes Edmond approached the register. "Hello, I am looking for a woman named Carla? Would you happen to know where she is?"

"Thank you." Edmond replied to the man at the desk before venturing towards the towering rows of shelves. To be honest they weren't that towering to him. Sure the shelves went up pretty high but he had jumped off and onto buildings far higher so he rarely gave heights the appreciation they deserved. He didn't have to scour the rows for long because after a minute or to he found the girl in uniform with a tag that said manager. "Hello, are you Carla? I was told you could help me find a customized took for a headache of a chore." Edmond repeated the message as he remembered from Cobblepot. Now obviously he wasn't go to say that he needed the weapon. He would say a friend was looking to sell one and so when people saw the Count with that specific weapon they wouldn't be able to trace it back to Edmond. they would trace it back to Eric's friend, who they would never find because neither he nor Eric actually existed outside of practical need. Edmond Dantes was always careful. Unless losing a fight, then he got reckless from time to time.

Edmond nodded and followed her into the break room. He did not speak until she asked what kind of tool he was looking for. "I am looking for a staff about 6 feet in length that can separate in the middle. The tip on each side would need an deployable spearhead for the problems that can't be beaten down. You know, the ones you need to cut out." Edmond said as if it was a normal thing to talk about. When she found her keys Edmond let Carla enter the room before following in her footsteps. He had noticed her frown when he first spoke about the customized weapon but he tried not to dwell on it for long.

Edmond walked into the room and looked around. "Hmm... this looks a lot like my-" Edmond caught himself "employer's, workshop. Except he does exclusively bows and arrows." Edmond thought about her question a little as he looked around. "It would need to be a strong but light metal, not iron or steel they bend to easily. It has to be something stronger." Edmond realized he wasn't being very specific but he normally didn't have to worry much about specific metals. He had one type of metal for his arrows and it did the job he wanted it to.

Edmond shrugged trying to remain in the mind of Eric Monte. "You sound just like him. He is always talking about how light they are and easy to make. I prefer knives and daggers. They are easy to hide and can be thrown just as easy as an arrow. Granted there are no trick knives, just trick arrows." Edmond said as he looked at the walls lined with weapon parts.

"I always thought that they modification to the trick arrows would effect how accurate it was. Apparently it doesn't. " Edmond said as he took the black metal the black metal pipe. He adjusted they way he was holding it a could of times for comfort before nodding. To be fair he had only received training with normal sticks when he worked on batons so he was not an expert in the weight and how it effected them. Arrows were another matter. "It seems light enough, as long as it meets my standards in strength it should do."

"I don't have any specific time frame that I need it within as long as it is done by the end of the week and I can hit it against other metals without it bending." Edmond said bluntly before thinking on the answer a little. He looked at the wall of the workshop covered in various materials. "If a situation arises I may need it within a few hours but I doubt something will happen."
