Bryn anxiously watched as the pokeball rocked back and forth and the little light was flashing. Bryns heart raced faster than before. The last time it had raced this fast was all because Professor Oak had came to her and requested her presence in his labratory.
"C'mon C'mon...." Bryn started to shake. It was then that the pokeball's light stopped flashing and rocking. Bryn jumped up victoriously and cheered.
"YEAH! ALRIGHT! My first caught pokemon! Hunter you rock!" Bryn knealt down and hugged her houndour and pet her appropriatly.
"Wow...that was...well that was something else." Bryn said and flashed a grin over to Kasiya. "thanks for the cheers."

"No problem, Bryn, and congrats on the capture!" Kasiya replied, knowing just how Bryn felt that moment. Her heart had stopped completely when she threw the Pokeball to capture Pikachu. "It would be best to hurry to Lavender Town now," she said. "Sandshrew was burned pretty badly back there, and it looks like it may rain soon," she said, looking up at the sky. Ominous grey clouds were moving in from the east, and the slight smell of rain was in the air. "If we can hurry, we can make it by nightfall!"

Bryn still couldn't belive she caught her first pokemon. At the same time she couldn't argue with Kasiya's logic.
"Hunter c'mon we are going to have to be quick. Lets 'hoof' it then shall we?" Bryn giggled slightly and picked up her pace holding the pokeball that held her new Sandshrew.

Kasiya didn't argue, and the two headed west as fast as they could, just managing to keep ahead of the storm. Kasiya had only been to Lavender Town once, to attend a funeral for a Pokemon of one of the trainers in Lt. Surge's gym. A Manectric that the gentleman had owned for many years became very ill and passed on. Kasiya had been good friends with the Manectric, and she cried for days afterwards. It was the first time she realized just how precious life really ways.
((oddly enough, it's starting to thunderstom here right now!))

Bryn looked around the town as they entered trying to find the sign that notified people of a pokecenter.
"Say Kasiya do you know your way around here at all?" Bryn questioned. Whenver she was on a mission she had been given directions and never had to question it.

"It's this way," Kasiya pointed, as it started to downpour on them. Kasiya lead the way, running through the rain towards the Pokemon Center. She hated getting drenched this badly by the rain, but pressed on, wondering where Mitsu and Ken had got to. Where they at the Pokemon Center? She could only hope so.

Bryn and Hunter ran just behind Kasiya making sure to keep her in sight so she knew she would make it and heal her pokemon.
"Hunter sorry...but its quicker and you need to be in it to be healed...you'll be out as soon as i can let you out. Hunter Return." Bryn called as she ran and held both her pokeballs tightly.

When they arrived, Bryn went right away to get her Pokemon healed, while Kasiya went to sit down at a table. Ken and Mitsu weren't here, and there hadn't been a note either. She let Eevee and Pikachu out of their Pokeballs, and the two stretched and started playing some sort of game of hide and seek. Kasiya opened up her bag to see what she had inside: a few changes of clothes, various personal products, a few of her Pokemon items. She took her water bottle and had another drink, looking out the window at the pouring rain. Lightning streaked across the sky, with resounding thunder soon following. She could smell the rain through the slightly open window, and she was suddenly reminded of her dream.
"Raikou," she whispered to herself. "I still can't get over how real it felt." She moved her bag onto the floor, noting that it was aparently Pikachu's turn to seek while Eevee hid. She put her head down on her arms, wondering what to do next. It occured to her that she could possibly try to collect some Gym badges, although she knew from her extensive studies that there wasn't a gym here in Lavender Town. The closest one was either back home in Vermilion, or a ways east in Saffron City. She'd read that the leader there was rather mysterious and quiet, and hadn't been defeated for quite some time. She shook her head, thinking there was no way she'd challege that gym right away. If she'd continued on to Pewter City through the Viridian Forest, she could have challenged the gym there. She suddenly couldn't remember the name of the gym leader, and started to mull it over in her mind. "Frock? Scott? Jeff?" she muttered to herself, wondering why she couldn't remember. "Oh," she realized a few minutes later. "Brock...that's his name. Brock the rock, they call him..."
"Pika pika!" Pikachu suddenly cried, jumping up and down and waving its arms. Kasiya looked down at it, wondering what it was going on about.
"Pikachu, what are you-" she stopped when she noticed Eevee's bushy tail sticking out of her napsack. "Oh come on now, Eevee," she sighed. "You can't hide in there!" She reached down to pull the fiesty little Pokemon out of her belongings, when suddenly her napsack begain emitting a bright white light. Startled, Kasiya jumped back, falling backwards onto her rear end. It was then Kasiya realized it wasn't her backpack that was glowing - it was Eevee! Eevee backed its way out of her bag, and suddenly began to change form. The brightness peaked, and then suddenly, standing before her, was a Vaporeon.

Bryn quickly got her pokemon healed and let them out she picked up her Sandshrew and smile at it.
"hey there little guy...what am I going to call you?" Sandshrew looked up at her with his big eyes and looked down at Hunter. Hunter curled up beside Bryn and was quickly falling asleep, Sandshrew jumped down and followed suit and curled up on the other side of Bryn.
"I sure hope you two get along..."Bryn mused and picked up her pokenave and called Prof. Oak. "Hello Professor! Yeah I travelled with another trainer to Lavender Town, I caught a Sandshrew and i'm learning loads I don't know what my next step is but I'm actually excited about it...okay,...yeah of course I can do that. I'll race Hunter home first thing tomorrow morning."
Bryn pulled out a peice of paper and a pen and wrote Kasiya a note.
"Dear Kasiya.
Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I hope we can catch up again soon. However Professor Oak needs my help back at Pallet Town for a few of his experiments and he wants to check out Hunter and Sandshrew. Here's my pokenave number so you can get a hold of me at anytime. Once again my thanks and hope to see you around." Bryn left the note on the clipboard by the door with huge letter for Kasiya's name so she wouldn't miss it
Bryn then laid down between Sandshrew and Hunter and fell asleep after asking for an early wake up call so she could run back home.

Nina's eyes opened, and it took her a moment to remember where she was. "Lavender Town Pokemon Center..." she muttered, after a few moments. After yawning a couple of times and stretching her arms a little, Nina got out of bed and fixed it up. A moment later, she had heard a deafening clap of thunder, and she felt the hair on her neck stand up. Racing outside to the main entrance, she gazed out one of the windows to find it downpouring; lightning violently darted across the sky every now and then after more claps of thunder. Turning her back to the window and beginning to approach the front desk, Nina thought, Well... so much for going to Pokemon Tower tonight... I guess we'll have to wait until the morning.
"Nurse Joy?" she said, "could I have two bowls of Pokemon food, please?" Joy said she could, and left for a moment, returning with two red bowls of food that resembled chocolate chips. Nina smiled a little bit and thanked her, and she and her Pokemon found a small table to sit at. Putting the bowls on the table, Marill and Misdreavus began to eat. Gazing around, she noted this Center had basically the same design as the others she had been to.
A moment later, Nina heard a voice coming from her left. She turned her head, and heard a girl shout, "You can't hide in there!" Suddenly, a brilliant white light emitted from the girl's backpack, and a blue Pokemon came out of it.
Nina's eyes grew big.

"Pore?" the newly evolved Pokemon looked up at Kasiya, blinking her glossy eyes. Eevee had undergone quite a change from her adorable, almost fox-like form to a large, slender form, covered in very short yet soft blue fur. Her bushy tail had become a fin, lined with a ridge that ran all the way up her back. She sat down, her fin-like tail flicking back and forth, her face resembling what could have been a Pokemon grin. Pikachu only stared, then suddenly began to clap.
"Oh, my little Eevee!" Kasiya exclaimed, realizing Eevee had touched the Water Stone stowed inside her backpack.

"Oh, my..."Nina said, almost spellbound. She got to her feet and left Marill and Misdreavus alone so they could eat, and approached the Vaporeon and her trainer. She cleared her throat.
"Ah... that is a very beautiful Pokemon you have, Miss," she said to Kasiya.

Kasiya looked up at the trainer approaching her. "Thank you," she said, standing up. "It wasn't really supposed to happen this way. I wanted Eevee to evolve according to what she wanted," she said quietly, looking down at her new Vaporeon. Pikachu was walking around her, making little "Pi!" sounds as it did so.

Nina smiled a little bit. "I believe that she did evolve how she wanted. I am assuming that since you had an Eevee, you carried around its three elemental stones. It must have had an interest in the Water Stone to expose itself to it." Nina shrugged a little as Misdreavus and Marill finished eating and came over to her.
"Whether it was the Pokemon you wanted or not, it is my opinion that she is beautiful."

"She does look happy with herself," Kasiya said. "Although her evolution was more or less an accident, I can't go back and change it. Not like the Pokemon simulators they had for us when we were young, right?" Kasiya chuckled and turned to Nina. "Oh wow, are those your Pokemon?" she asked as Misdreavus and Marill approached them.
