"It's not nosey!" Odyn crossed his arms and frowned. "We're here to learn, aren't we? And we have to learn about this kingdom we're going to inherit. We may as well start here."

This, boy, was to inherit the kingdom? Nyx could hardly believe it. She knew she should try to create some sort of inter-racial connection with this boy for the future, but her pride would not allow it.
"Our races will do as we have always done, ignore each other." She said that with a flash of icy fire in her blue eyes, her temper was getting the better of her.

Odyn blinked, as if having just noticed that Mariye was angry at him. "What?"

Cynthia bored of pretending to be asleep and sick got up,fixed her hair,and got changed and walked down to the mess hall seeing food made her hungry but, see sat down and waited.

"The centaurs have no need of dealings with the outside world, that is the way it has been, and that is the way it will stay!" Nyx had stood up to her full height, she towered above all of them. Thought she was probably the youngest student here, she was still a giant among these humans.
Nyx did not appreciate the girl trying to take Nyx's side, Nyx was not weak enough to have need of help to defend herself.

"All right." Odyn smiled. "But if you ever have problems, you know who to turn to." He turned back to his lunch.
Mariye sighed heavily. Really, Odyn was such a blockhead sometimes. "Hello," she murmured to the girl who'd just sat next to her.

Nyx's cheeks flushed with anger, she picked up her plate of food and stormed out of the dining hall, under the pretense that she was going to go eat outside. Really, what business did he have to know the secrets of the centaurs? Her race had guarded themselves from probing minds for as long as they have been in this land, she wasn't about to break that tradition.

Cynthia,dieing of hunger gets up swiftly and walks quickly to the loft hopeing for atleast a bagel
Oh!Theres soup and bread or a sandwhich...hmm mabey soup would be goodAs she grabed her food she walked back and sat down again
"so which class is next?"hopeing to make small talk.

"Algebra," Odyn said, and Mariye brightened. He made a face. "I hate math..."

When Nyx reached the trees again she did not stop to look behind her, but just stormed through, causing birds to rise out of the trees in clouds of beating wings.
The same centaur from earlier greeted her and took the food witha look of dismay upon his face. That amount was barely enough to feed one grown male centaur, let alone a dozen.
"I can't get anymore at this time, you'll have to wait until nightfall, then I can sneak into the kitchens and get more."
Putting the dissapointment in the lack of food behind him, he started up a conversation, "I've heard that the heir to the throne is a fellow student of yours, you should try to get closer to him, he could prove useful in the future."
"I've already met him, and I doubt that fool could be of any help to us, he has no tact whatsoever."
Knowing of her temper problem, h smiled gently down at Nyx, "All we can ask of you is to try, please Nyx." There was a kindnes in his eyes that Nyx rarely saw. Her spirits temporarily lightened.
They said their farewells and Nyx went off to wander around the forest, she had to mull things over a bit.
This was definitely going to be an interesting year for everyone, already, she's harboring fugitives on school grounds.
