"As much as it pains me to admit it, the little pest may be of some use in this situation." Beneath the shroud of magick, Wraith smiled. "From my experience, Lux can lock onto strands of magick and draw them into himself, correct?"

Aer nodded. "I think so. Lux, are you here--?" And Lux appeared, situated on Aer's head like a helmet again.

"I noticed when Lux abosorbed the shields, that it continued to draw energy unto itself despite my atempts to stem the flow. Aer, order lux to latch onto the attacking magicks and feed upon them. I want Rivus as weak as possible when we confront." Wraith smiled. "He does not know that you're Hearrte has been obtained. That should be used to our atvantage. Does the demon your father controls also fall under your command?"

Aer started to shrug, but stopped. "Yeah," he said, remembering. "Yeah, it does." Assuming that that was all Wraith wanted from Lux, Aer directed his next words to the glowing ball of energy.
"Lux, you heard the man. Go ahead." With an energetic squeal, Lux vanished from around Aer's head.
~
Outside the ship, anyone able to see magick threads would have seen someting very strange--the massive magickal construct, being attacked by multiple magickal threads extended from the southeast, shuddered slightly, and from it emerged a blindingly bright ball. Lux suddenly spread himself impossibly thin, and a moment later, all of the magickal threads froze. Another squeal was emitted, but this time, it was echoed many times--one for each part of Lux that had split to drink up the magickal threads' power. After a split second of silence, a golden beam seemed to rocket up each of the threads, and barely a split second later, they all shattered.
~
The ship gave a small shudder, and then it was silent. Aer's eyes widened as he looked around. "Did Lux do that?" he breathed. "Amazing..."

Once I Walk Away... ((OOC: My God, I sit here and watch the RP and nothing happens, and I turn my back for one minute and there's suddenly this huge new plot development. Oh, and I'm not here tomorrow. Horse show FTW!))
Tekira leaned against the wall for several minutes after her near-fall. When the ship finally stopped moving, she took a few careful steps away from it. "What was that?" she wondered aloud....I May Never Come Back

Wraith smiled as the ship hovered before the massive palace he called home. With a slight gesture of his hand, a channal was opened and his magick enhanced voice boomed across the palace. "Rivus, I have come for you." Wraith stretched out tendrils of probing magick and surveyed the palace, finding his senses strangely blocked.
Smiling, he tunred to Aer and his voice came normally. "It would seem that your father is using a demon to conceal his whereabouts. Summon it."

Aer nodded and called Lux's name. The familiar promptly appeared, hovering before Aer.
"My Hearrte, please," Aer said, and the box was deposited into his hands. He ran his hand over the golden words inscribed on the box, then opened it, and said, "Bathin." There was a moment where nothing happened, but then a tendril of dark steam emerged, opening a pair of red eyes.
"I am a little busy, Master," it said, and started to retreat into the box, but Aer spoke.
"Stop, Bathin. I command you just as my father does, correct? I command you to revoke whatever concealment you have given him."
The demon examined him. "This serves his purpose," it hissed, nodding toward Wraith.
"Then exact a price, but do it," Aer said firmly.
"Your familiar."
Aer started to protest, then looked at Lux. He could get another, of course, but...
"Lux, do you mind?" Aer asked finally. Lux squealed. "Um," Aer said, flash your light at me. Once for yes, you mind; two for no, go ahead."
Lux flashed twice. Aer shrugged. "Very well then, Bathin. Take Lux." He frowned at Lux and sighed. "It's been fun," he murmured, as Bathin extended outward, devoured Lux, and snapped back into the box.
Aer looked back to Wraith. "Well? Can you find him now?"

"Yes, I have located him. He is in one of many galleries in the palace..." Wraith sucked in a breath. "One gallery in particular, a power node of sorts for the palace. If Lux did his job right, we shouldn't have to worry. But if he still retains magick energies, he can still use them to tap the palaces power flow, as well as the ship's if we allow them to interface. To think, two birds with one stone. We've found Rivus, and eliminated a vermin infestation..." Light swirled around them and suddenly they were standing in the afore mentioned gallery.
Wraith smiled and turned his gaze to Rivus. "You truly are a stuborn fool, Rivus."

As Tekira looked up, a hazy image took shape before her eyes. "Wraith and Aer are currently in a gallery in the Forteresse de Terrain Vague, extricating Aer's persistent father from the palace." The ship paused and seemed to think. "Would you like to view the battle? Or would you prefer it if I simply deposited you in said gallery to see it first-hand?"

Once I Walk Away... ((OOC:...That works. XD)) Tekira stared at the image, shocked. "I...I suppose...yes, I think it'd be better if you put me there. If that's not too inconvenient." she added, trying to get over the strangeness of talking to the ship itself.

"Very well then." And the corridor around Tekira faded away and she stood a few feet behind Wraith and Aer. Janika, however (having not responded), was stranded aboard the ship. The ship, deciding to devote all it's energies to doing's of it's current master focused all it's attention at Wraith, waiting for the slightest command.

Janika looked around, confused. "Fight?" She was getting more confused. "May I be put there too? I'm pretty lost right now, but I suppose being alone is a bad thing."
