"Stop the others!" Taka yelled to the Anbu, as the Umi Leader charged at Taka, this guy was faster then he thought, and though he tried he couldn't block his attacks, he was too damn strong! Fine, then Taka would have to pay close attention and fight defensively, and he set himself up in that position. But there was one thing he could do since the Umi was so close. Drawing on the natural mist that surrounded the village, Taka drew water towards himself. Now he set it upon the Umi Leader, hoping to trap him int he Water Prison Jutsu. If that could work, Taka could shock him at will, and he'd no longer be in harms way.
New DB: 60 + 45 = 105 Reflex DC: 12 + chk mod (25) + 2 per 10 ranks in Ninjutsu ( cool = 45

The leader was too close to even have a hope in dodging the jutsu. Before he knew it he was engulfed in a sphere of curious water. He'd had an intake of breath in shock upon being suddenly imprisoned, but it was a curious type of water that let him still breathe. He'd never seen anything like it before. His respect for the kid grew.
But just by a bit. The leader was experienced in escaping from all sorts of manacles and bindings and this piddly water defence wouldn't faze him. Already, he could see the cracks in it. Just take advantage of the flow of the water, and maybe he could bust and wriggle out... (no matter how strange the sight of this brawny guy wriggling would seem)
d20 + Dex 5 + Escape Artist 50 (<__<......)

"Good effort!" the leader roared, his lips breaking apart to form an excited grin and his teeth glinting in the sunlight of high noon. The perfect time for a showdown between outlaws and the authorities. "But you'll need to try harder."
He saw that Taka was taking a defensive stance, but knew nothing else than to just continue hacking at him with his war axes. That stance couldn't help that much, right?

Kenju was clearly in a predicament. He had five of them charging at him, and five others breaking into an apartment. If he fought the ones here, the others would certainly have their way with ransacking the place, but if he ran after them, he would have to fight ten at a time. He was fast enough to get to the apartments in no time at all, though he deduced that killing the ones charging and reducing the number in half would be most effective. He would have to draw the away from Taka to prevent any from going after him, or the leader coming after himself. Lighting began running across his sword, "Time to die..." He sprinted after the first Umi coming at him with a cut across the chest, and went for the second Umi with a horizontal cut to his abdomen, but his wounds from the charge prevented him from dealing damage to the other intended target.
New Damage: 12-18 + Skill[6-12]=18-30 + Chk [12] = 30-42 d20 + MAB [29] + Ninjato [4] = Umi 1: 40; Umi 2: Autofail

Ninja to The ninja to {also known as "shinobigatana"} was the sword of the ninja. It was not as well crafted as the Katana but was just as useful in combat. The ninja to is 6 inches shorter than the katana and possesses a straight blade instead of a curved one. It is the sword carried by ANBU squads. Damage: 3 - 9 + str. mod. Range: Melee. Special: ANBU sword. Causes a Bleeding Wound upon a critical hit. +2 to blocking checks. Dual Wield: Yes, -7 to attack roll.

'Damn he got out!' Taka thought as the Umi Leader broke out from his Water prison, and started launching attacks at him. Thanks to Taka's defensive stance however, he was able to dodge most of the attack except for one. Now was the time for his counter attack. Still not leaving his stance, in fact he made sure to make it stronger, Taka slashed at the Leader with his Katana.
New DB: 60 + 60 = 120 Defensive Melee Attack: Roll (1) + str mod (25) + 2 per 10 ranks in Katana (6) = Autofail ( stressed )

[It's not actually an autofail unless you fail the d6 roll, but it was below the leader's DB Gid. Which is 35. razz

The first Umi staggered back a few steps and there was a sizzling sound. Not too long after that the smell of burning flesh wafted among them. The first Umi looked at the ANBU with respect, but the others, well...
Umi 2, distinguished only by his bright red hair, hoisted his war axe up and pointed it straight at the ANBU. "Prepare to die?" He scoffed. "It looks like you're the one outnumbered here. We can take you no problem. You never underestimate the Umi!!!" [The fact that most of them had missed was ignored.]

The Umi leader must have underestimated him, because Taka managed to move out of the way and deflect his attacks with relative ease. Of course, he didn't understand how Taka was doing that, since he had lived his entire life on the offensive. Eventually he decided that Taka was just being a coward.
He slashed at Taka several more times with his axes. "Fight me like a real man!" he roared out as he swung before side stepping Taka's feeble swing easily. "That was pathetic! Give me a real battle!"
