Eve-Dallas lotr_music00 You know you're a band geek when you start to IM your band director. I actually do that to a couple of the one's I've had. they seems to enjoy it and we trade wit with each other so it's fun! You know you'ar a band nerd when: ...you hear the song "Lose my Breath" and can name who's cadence that actually is (yes it is an actual cadence, and yeah it might be kind of hard to know if you aren't from Michigan) I knew that. I just about overturned a table when I heard it. They(Destiny's Child) crapped it up! Why don't I hear tenors? ARGHHHH!!!!

*when you show up to a rehearsal late, and decide to practice along
*when you're in the band room most/all of your freetime.
*when you question the relevance of any of you're other classes in school.
*when you complain when hearing songs you've played, because they screwed up the third note in measure 38, because they missed the keychange.
*if you understood that.

You volunteer to sort out the uniforms before school starts. (NOT recommended, but I do every year anyway)
You mark time while standing up
You count off in eights while walking

you know your a band nerd when whenever the band hall is closed in the morning, you wait outside it because you have no where else to go, and whenever its closed in the afternoon, since you always hang out there in the afternoon, you wait outside of it even though you knot it would be open for the rest of the day. (me and my friends do that)

Well, here's my few items to add to the list! You know you're a band geek when:
- You're moving away and give your band t-shirt to your BD so that your fellow band members can sign it
- People you would know if you saw or remembered what instrument they played signed, and you can't remember who they are just by reading their names.
- You had 'low brass' meetings before halftime, where all the low brass instruments huddled together and said "Low brass kicks a**."
- When the seniors left, you tried to reinstate this practice, since it brought good luck to the whole band.
- When freshman initiation at band camp involves giant Super Soakers and 50-gallon moving tubs full of water balloons.
- The sound of a woodblock in an open area causes one of three reactions, depending on your relationship with the BD and how long you've been in band: cowering on the ground in fear, slight irritation, or immediate in-time marching.
- You try explaining to your parents the importance of having a baritone with that fourth valve, even though you hardly ever use it.
- You were a freshman and weren't surprised when an upperclassman got a new instrument and named it 'Fluffy.' Rather, you were questioning WHY she had named it as such.

And I know what your probably thinking but no nobody did anything inapropriate. We were supervised.

You correct anyone anywhere that is conducting a choir or orchestra becuase they are cunducting wrongly and it bugs the piss out of you!

you definately know you are a band nerd when you MARK TIME to a pop/your favorite song or walk in step with music you hear in the mall and such ><...
...when season is over you still pull out the drums and go through the show and ALL 7 cadences xd
