Kiba blinked as his phone rang. He grinned at Kankuro's other guess of who it might but sorely hope it was Shino. he stood up and ran to the phone. His caller ID read Shino and so he quickly picked it up. "Hey Shino!" And he waited for the other boy to answer.

When Gaara came into the classroom with Deidara hand-in-hand, Neji's first notion was to grab his bookbag and run. Dispite his animosity, he couldn't tear his gaze away from the two together, couldn't move from his spot. He gripped the side of his desk, knuckles turning white. Why was it that, though however hopeless it may be, he was still infatuated with Gaara? It was clear that the redhead had other thoughts, thoughts that didn't even include him, yet Neji still clung on hopelessly.
Without any sudden movement, he pulled the rubber band out of his hair, letting it cascade in front of his face at an attempt to spy without being spotted. He watched as Gaara led Deidara to the back of the room, though he had to tilt a bit to the side and lean his head on his right elbow before having a clear view. He watched as Gaara pulled two desks together, side to side, as they sat down together. He watched as Gaara reached out with his hands, playing with his Deidara's hair...
Abruptly, Neji stood up without a bother to gather his things, walking out of the room in an alarmingly fast pace.

Nina saw Neji storm out of the classroom. She really didn't have a choice seeing as how he was heading right for her. She took a step to the side and reached out to grab his arm. "Hey, are you all right, Neji-kun?" She asked softly.
((Just to say there are only two people she doesn't use a suffix for. Naruto and Kiba.))

Gaara watched, alarmed, as Neji almost ran out, his hair free of any ponytail and shading his face. Why was it that he felt hurt everytime he hurt the Hyuuga? It was impossible, and yet it was so.
But Gaara stopped himself from running out to follow the other teen; that was something he simply could not do. The redhead just brought Deidara closer, leaning his head on the other's shoulder and closing his eyes while still playing with his hair. Gaara was determined to sleep the whole school day through. It should be possible, with Deidara beside him, and besides, Gaara just wanted to close out the rest of the world.
The redhead's hands stopped moving a few moments later, signaling that he was exploring his dreamland.

"Well you are on of Kiba's friends. And one of Naruto's too. So since they are my friends and you lookedupset I figure I might try to help a bit. But if you're sure you don't want to talk or anything..." SHe glanced at him once before turning away. She really did wonder what was getting at him.

Gaara floated within peaceful darkness for some moments before a dream came, a bit blurred and indistinct but the feelings caught him up and swept him along.
Gaara was kissing someone. He felt his lips on someone else's and his eyes were closed so he didn't know who it was but he was happy like he had never been before. It was like...it was like Gaara knew someone loved him and would love him forever and ever and he loved that person back just as much. Would that ever happen? Could that ever happen? No matter, this was a dream, nothing more. He didn't have to think or to answer questions that had no answer.
The kiss broke but the feeling of bliss didn't go away, and Gaara wrapped his arms around that person's waist, the person who loved him so so much and whispered breathlessly, "I love you." And Gaara did, he honestly loved this person who made him so happy, loved him so much he thought his heart would burst.
But who was this? Gaara struggled to open his suddenly heavy eyelids, trying to get a glimpse of his elusive angel. He finally opened them, to find...
Gaara's eyes snapped open in reality as the bell rang, the harsh clanging sound grating on his ears. What a nice dream, he thought, as he rubbed his eyes wearily.

Seeing the girl turning around and walking away, Neji did the same, heading out of the door. Somehow, he felt lighter, missing something. He mildly remembered leaving his bookbag in the class, wondering if they would still be there the next day. Oh well, some stupid excuse to not finish homework.
Kicking the main entrance open, he stuck his hands in his pockets--yes, his costume even had pockets--and walked out, walking aimlessly.

Deidara stood, slinging his bag over his shoulder, and tugged on Gaara's arm. "C'mon, move, un! You seem to be sleeping a lot recently for someone who's supposed to be an insomniac, un..." he smirked at the last sentence, and pulled the redhead down the hall and towards Gaara's next class. Which he just happened to know by accident. It wasn't as if he was a stalker or anything, no, never. Deidara grinned, hugging the smaller boy with one arm.

"Shino? So that is his name, huh? Well, I tried calling the kid's house, but, no one picked up. So I dialed this number. Your friend Shino, he has been hit. I don't know who did it. The person hit him and drove off like all hell had broken loose. I'm on the corner of main and central avenue. I called the ambulance. You might want to head over here. The paramedics will be asking me questions I don't know the answer to. He looks kind of bad..." There was a pause before the person spoke again, "I think he is crying...well, you should probably get over here stat."
Kind of bad was an understatement. Shino had road rash all along his right arm. His left arm was at a angle that was painful just to look at. Blood drenched the side of his jacket and his right leg was almost bent backwards. A deep scratch reached from just under his eye to just above the corner of his mouth. A rib had protruded through the flesh, but, you couldn't see it due to the jacket. You could tell by the awkward lump on the side of him. His glasses were shattered and spread across the area in tiny shards. Tears indeed slipped down his face and mixed in with the blood that covered his face.
((-sigh- I like drama/angst too much. BAD MEGAN!!))

((My friends call me Mejin. I have no idea where it came from or anything. One day last year my friend Bee just started calling me Mejin, then, almost all of my friends did. So, yeah. That is my nickname now.))
