"I'll tell you one thing. Exploring isn't as 'glamourous' as it's cracked up to be." Itazura said flatly, wearily eyeing the cub's mother. "Sure, looking at new places is nice and everything, but there's always the lingering worry of being able to get enough food, water, and not being attacked by other lions. It may not seem likely, but it's happened a lot lately." He sighed once more, his eyes drifting to the ground. "You know what's REALLY sad? The reason I left my home in the first place was because my mother had been killed by a strange sickness, and fearing for my own life, I ran. I didn't just wake up one day thinking I was going to venture out into the real world, I was forced into it. Life is so hard without some form of sanctuary..but I doubt you'd know anything about that.." He said harshly, referring to the fact that the cub not only had a roof over her head, but also someone who loved her and would take care of her.

"I'd love that." Itazura said in a relieved rush, his stomach beginning to rumble in agreement. He stood up, his tail brushing against the walls of the den. "You wouldn't mind if I hunted for myself though, would you? Tell ya what. I'll bring you some fresh meat, IF you can lead me to a watering hole. I'm not familiar to the area when it comes to where things are, but I can ALWAYS sniff out a meal." He grinned, his eyes flickering a bit. He started towards the mouth of the den, turning around at the last minute. "Come on, now!" He called impatiently, obviously not waiting for her answer.

"Quiet." Itazura commanded in a whisper, placing a paw in front of the cub. In the distance, a wild gazelle was grazing. It seemed old and feeble, being only able to reach down so far with it's neck and chew at the tops of the tall grasses. "Perfect." The male lion said, as he was off after the defenseless animal in a matter of seconds. His coat rippled and shined in the wind as he sprinted, closing the gap between him and his prey quite easily. In an instant, he was upon the gazelle, easily dodging it's attempts to throw him off. His massive jaws came down upon the creatures neck, snapping it instantly, and it was over. The gazelle lay lifeless on the ground, blood oozing from the wound on it's neck. Itazura roared proudly, inviting the cub over so she could feast along with him.

The little kit smiled a little, realising the lioness didn't mean any harm to her and her bushy fur tail wagged silently side to side as she spoke to the golden lioness.
"Mu-Mufasa brought us here...until the rain settled...and besides...he taught me that not all lions are bad...unlike those mean Firekin..."
The small ball of fur's ears flattened agaisnt her head and she looked down from the lioness, not knowing she was the queen, but still sad of the memories of her family being slaughtered at the paws of those murderous creatures.

Maawio blinked and saw that she was busy. She nodded to herself and began to pad along the dusty ground, tail still swinging. She hummed a small tune, her eyes glancing along the ground as she did so. She sighed, her paws making their own path, but she stopped dead as she saw Mufasa, conversing with another lion. She decided to try and ask him if he had seen Wingu. So, gulping slightly, she walked up to him, almost hidden in his huge shadow. "Erm, excuse me King, Mufasa?" She squeaked.

She shivered a little... Her eyes grew wide, as she looked up to Mufasa. She squeaked again and cleared her throat, standing taller and keeping her tail upright. "Please, sir, Have you seen my mother?" She asked. "I-I havent seen her for a-a while now..." She whispered, the stutters starting to kick in. It was certainly intimidating, as Mufasa was so big, and had such a positive imacpt on things, and he was the king too! And could control this pride. She cocked her head to the side curiously as she asked her question, digging her claws into the ground slightly.

Her tail also gave a flicker, she smiled slightly, nodding as he said Wingu. She padded at the ground, watching the dust rise. Her eyes relaxed a little, she was always uncomfortable around the King and Queen. She sighed, looking behind her into the savannah. She smiled again, looking to Mufasa. "Really? If thats okay with you..." She said, imaging her mothers face when she brought the KING with her. She smiled happily. Anything to please her mother, before looking a Mufasa over her shoulder, and placing a foot fowards, ready to pad off in search of her mother.

Maawio gave a nod. "Okay sir," She said, she picked up her paws and padded along the dusty ground, head higher than it had been recently, but she was still a little shaking, and her pupils were wide in fear. She smiled to herself, padding slowly across the savannah. "Mom!" She called. "Mom!"

Where could she be? She thought... "Mom?" She called, snaking around a tree and peering under the grass. She realised that she was being childish and stood up, quivering. "Erm...Wingu?" She asked, calling her mother by her real pride dubbance.
