Chloe remained on the beach, and soon enough was back to her fishing. She had her mind set on that Relicanth, and wasn't about to give up anytime soon.
Seated on what was quickly becoming her customary spot on the edge of the dock, Chloe had her line in the water, and Cael at the ready, just in case. That Mantine had pretty much taken her out to sea...
Not willing to repeat the incident made Cael a welcome companion during her bouts of fishing.

With no bite on the end of the line, Chloe replaced her bait with a sigh, throwing the line back into the water. She knew it would require lots of patience in order to catch something, and knew it would only be a matter of time before she landed a Pokemon.
"So, once we catch this Relicanth, wanna head on to Fortree? I still have to get Winona's badge," Chloe struck up conversation with Cael, who was lounging on the dock, tail dragging through the waves absently as he watched the line. The Dragonite looked up to Chloe smiling faintly with a "Braoo," of agreement. He was willing for anything.

"So Raef is working with Notaro..." she murmured sadly, shaking her head in disbelief. She had no other choice, however, she knew it to be true.
"I just hope I don't have to face him again..." she sighed.

Cael nodded. Although he didn't catch the full events in the Dragon's Lair, he was more than aware of the aftereffects it seemed to have on Chloe. Although she wouldn't show it when her friends were around, she seemed to be a bit less chipper than normal. Not that it would affect her daily routine or anything. She wasn't about to lock herself in the Old Chateu and never come back out.
It just seemed hard on her. Which, the Dragonite noted, he didn't seem to like the less happy Chloe one bit.

"Great job, Mika," Chloe praised the Flygon, patting Mikami, who grinned broadly, nuzzling her hand before flitting off to create some havoc down the beach. Thankfully there weren't any beachgoers present, just a few surfers in the water, which Mikami ignored.
Chloe shook her head, watching him go. "He really is an oddball..." Cael let out a musical laugh, as Chloe reached for the rest of her Pokeballs, summoning Alkaid, Saku, Dai, and Entreri out as well to take another day's break as she continued to fish.

Chloe plopped the line back into the water, waiting for another bite.
Entreri, as always, went off on his own, trying to stay away from Alkaid, who was seemingly constantly trying to get a friendly word from the Sneasel. The Dark type would have none of this, however, and took to beneath the docks, after distracting Alkaid, he fled, hiding in the shadows around some rocks on the shoreline, grumbling to himself and trying to stay away from any other living thing.

Alkaid, undeterred, set out to find the Sneasel, as Saku joined in, not having anything better to do. The two set out in their little search party, keeping to the shoreline, and keeping a sharp two sets of eyes for the anti-social Sneasel.
Daimon, as always, took to the water, enjoying the brisk tides immensely, as he set out to explore an underwater reef that lay off the coast of Dewford.
