Hi everyone. I'm not necessarily new here, but this is my first post. sweatdrop I'm really glad I was able to find a guild filled with people that actually have common sense. You don't find many people that are against the evils of chat speak and bad grammar these days. ;P

Good day, everyone. I am SGT Baker, but you can call me Baker or anything you may come up with. I don't really have any special introduction to say about my self. Only because, well, I'm just that damn cool. *Lie.*

Hello, people!
First, I hope that my avatar doesn't scare you. If it does, then I am sorry. Anyway, I have been a Gaian for over two years. I've been and done a lot in those two years, and now I have decided to join this guild.

Karean Takanago Hello, people! First, I hope that my avatar doesn't scare you. If it does, then I am sorry. Anyway, I have been a Gaian for over two years. I've been and done a lot in those two years, and now I have decided to join this guild. You're about as scary as any other Chippendale dancer I've ever had the grand misfortune of meeting. What's with you other two? You sound as though you're pumped with joy and naivete. What the ******** is with that? Either get some ire displayed in your posts, or form an orgy with a couple hundred Portuguese Men-of-War. Just stop sounding so disgustingly nice, please!

Hello I'm Rachel_Faery. Whatever you wish to call me is perfectly fine. I'm quite new to this guild and have only been on Gaia for a few months or so. Like everyone here I am disgusted with people who are fluent in English but decide to butcher it anyway. I'm most often a lurker over at the ED, but I wander all over. I'll most likely do the same here, but who knows? I'm more likely to join in conversation here than anywhere else though.
EDIT: I have an obsessed with correcting grammar, so it's not unlikely that you'll see me with many edits in my posts. Forgive me! I blame four years as my Lit class's resident copy editor in high school.

Forgive me for posting at three in the morning. I was on my way to bed. I believe I was trying to remember how to spell obsession at that point. My one true failing I am sad to say. Spellcheck is my lifeline at times. (I once had to ask my baby sister how to spell style when I was exhausted...)

Of course, you are always right and I guess I must be always wrong. I was simply trying to introduce myself before I went to bed because I kept forgetting. At least I try to correct my mistakes. Forgive me ever so much. Perhaps I won't be posting here as much as I thought.
EDIT: Yes, I am defensive. I apologize for that. I am still exhausted and have to quickly find something to wear to a funeral I JUST found out about.
EDIT2: Why do I waste my time? You really don't care anyway...

Gracefallen Rachel_Faery Forgive me for posting at three in the morning. I was on my way to bed. I believe I was trying to remember how to spell obsession at that point. My one true failing I am sad to say. Spellcheck is my lifeline at times. (I once had to ask my baby sister how to spell style when I was exhausted...) Wow, that's an excuse I haven't heard a million times before.Less antagonism, Gracey, SVP. Addendum: Rachel, if you're too tired to proofread, don't waste any more energy by posting here. As has been demonstrated, it only breeds acerbity. It has very little to do with who's wrong or who's right.

Hello. I am new to gaia and in the short time that I have been here I have found that, especially in the ED Forum, the people that I have the hardest time placing value in what they are saying are the people that don't use correct grammar and spelling. These people at times have very good arguments and the intelligence of said argument is detracted from by the lack of intelligence shown in the literacy of the posts. I strive to remedy this by correcting the grammar of these people.

Hi.
I'm Treacherous Desire but, as it's a kind of long name, you can make up whatever nickname you want. I answer to just about anything. TD. Treachy. It all works.
I really suck at introductions by the way. I never know what to say about myself.
I go to a boarding school as a daystudent and if you so much as post one stereotype aboutboarding school kids or the institutions myself I will Gaia-Kill you and then put you on my ignored list.
I really hate getting the "You must be a really crappy person if you got sent to boarding school" and "What? Your rich white parents not love you" posts. More than anything.
Um, I'm taking quite a few fine arts this year. Art, Photography (which I love), Piano, Theory, Debate.
I'm also taking Art History. It's so much fun. All my friends poke fun because it's a slacker course. They're all in physics instead. I hate math and, hence, I hate physics. The physics teacher is awesome; I ADORE him but not enough to take two math oriented courses.
