well, it is as follows
GK - S6
GK justicar, termie, brother-captain - S6 power weapon
GK GM - S6 force weapon

as for the d6 movement you mean consolidate move after won hth combat? you can do it in any turn your or enemy's provided you have either killed off or made run all the enemies involved in the combat, and you do it in the end of hth phase

I'm trying to decide: do I go with an all round, elite (low model count) army, with lots of Grey Knights, or a larger army, with Storm Troopers?

Depends what you like, and what youre into.

What do you want to do with the army.

Well Im currently going for a mix:
5 Grey Knight Terminators, Inquisitor Lord, 20 Storm troopers, Vindicare, Dreadnaught, 10 Power Armer Grey Knights, and a Grand master. I need more models on the board though, I keep getting wiped out.

Buy a codex or check your store for a copy and read it there.

You only think that Guardsmen suck. You havent been exposed to the tactics and techniques well enough yet. Hell for almost the cost of your assasain which is a points sink and I know it. You could almost run some Inquisitorial Stormtroopers

But I HATE soft Fleshies with Laser Pointers sad

I was actually thinking of using Deathwatch, my club has come up with some custom house rules for them and they're great!

Well, prepared to be outnumbered often. You shouldnt underestimate gaurdsmen.

I don't underestimate them, I just don't like them... I find them really boring to use.

Besides, I think the cadian and catachan models suck. Vostroyan ones are great... Minimum unit size is 25, right? (not sure if I can ask that here... :S) I have 10 Vostroyans allready, I bought them because I liked the models smile I might actuallly use them for once...

And @Mat: My assassin might not countas a scoring unit, but he sure as hell earns it back. Took out a Hive Tyrant and a Carnifex in one game smile Although, admitted, when I play against our resident Plague Marines veteran... I get Pwned.

To sum up though (Im assuming both Fraggle accounts are yours) you said you needed more models in the board. The only way youre going to boost your numbers is with gaurdsmen. Youre already doing grey knights, storm troopers and assasins. So whats left really? Seems like an odd question if youre just going to say gaurdsmen suck after asking that.

I've got a pretty dire question and don't have a clue on what to do about it. Ok, I was thinking of having an army with grey knights mixed with Imperial Guard, but The Guard just really destroy the "Daemonhunter" aspect for me. I was also wondering how a purely Grey Knight army would due. No inquisitors of inducted units. Just Grey Knights.

What are your thoughts, would it work, or crash and burn?

Pure Grey Knights tend to be VERY outnumbered and outgunned by practically everyone. Also, they're more expensive than standard Tactical Marines, because they pay points for abilities that are pretty much only good against Daemons and not much else. Because of their low numbers, they drown in high volumes of fire, and swarms can really tarpit them. Also, their only avaliable transports are Land Raiders, so you're either Deep Striking them as Fast Attack, footslogging, or paying a hefty fee for a Land Raider just to get some GKs around.

It's a VERY uphill battle to win with Pure Grey Knights, but it's do-able.

That's all I've heard. I'm sure a more experienced GK player will chime in.
