Rhys keeps silent for a while, knowing he will just get mad if he tries to answer that. He smiles a little as Rachel sings. Their walk back seems shorter then it really was. He sees Main Street about a foot away. Suddenly he sees a cop car turning off Main Street and onto the road they were on. He turns a little so the blood on his shirt isn't seen, thinking the cops would just drive by. But they don't. They stop the car and the one on the passenger side gets out while the other gets on the radio in the car. Rhys looks at the one that is walking towards them.

"Rhys Laurence Masseria?" The question sounds more like a statement. "Rhys, you are under arrest for contributing in the deaths of Jason Morrison and Ruben O'neil. You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Anything you do say may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult an attorney..." The cop continues to recite the Miranda Rights as he takes out his handcuffs. The other cop in the car steps out and holds his gun at Rhys.

"s**t" Rhys says under his breath. They had already made the connection with his gun. He thought of running, but Rachel was too close, she could get shot.

Theonin chuckled and followed Lynn into her room. He smiled softly to her as he passed her, kneeling down beside the bed. He slowly slid his little girl between the sheets and pushed her hair from her face, smiling softly. He stayed in there, watching his baby girl sleep for a moment. He almost lost her today... He wasn't even there to protect her.

That was going to change though! Theonin would be there for her now. He'd fight tooth and nail to be there for her. She was his baby, and he almost lost her. He wasn't even in the same neighborhood.

Theonin leaned forward and softly kissed her little forehead. With a deep breath he pushed himself to his feet and tucked her firmly in. His hands slipped down into his pockets as he gazed down at her for another short moment. "I love you, kiddo..." he whispered quietly to her.

He pivotted on his heals and headed to the table and made sure the other two girls were seated before he sat down. He looked over to Christy and saw that she was asleep. He let out a quiet chuckle before looking over to Lynn. His look became somewhat more serious as he looked to her. "I'm really sorry about what happened... You shouldn't be in this situation."

Rhys is brought to the downtown station and then he is booked. He goes through the normal removing of personal items, finger printing, mug shots. The last time he went through this is when he was eleven. It wasn't a good experience. Mathue was mad at him because he had put Joyce and his other sisters in danger. Rhys used Joyce to get a bank teller, the only one working at the time, to leave her station. He acted like he was trying to kidnap Joyce from Monty while Christy took the money from the teller's station. Rhys was shot in the lower right leg while running from the cops. It had just nicked his leg, but he ended up needing eleven stitches. His plan had worked though, at that time they never connected his sisters to him so they got away with the money. His father made Rhys stay in jail though, having Nandy take her time with the courts to get him out. He thought his father was going to have him stay there forever though at the time.

"Stop daydreaming kid, get moving." A female officer says pushing Rhys a little into a holding cell.

He isn't alone in it. There aren't any women, just other guys in the large holding cell. But a few faces Rhys recognizes, and they aren't people he is happy to see. Even with his stab wound bugging him, Rhys stays standing and near the door.

"Look at this, isn't this a fun sight." One of the men sitting on a cot says as he stands and walks slowly over to Rhys. He is taller then Rhys by a couple feet, but is a scrawny man. "I heard you killed Jason. I never liked that guy."

"I didn't kill anyone." Rhys states as if protecting his innocence to an investigator. "I never touched the man." He wasn't lying; it was Theonin who had killed him.

"He'd be alive if you weren't there." Another man says who is standing on the opposite side of the cell. "My brother was killed too." The man was rather large, he looks like a older vision of the other man Theonin killed.

"Sad to hear," Rhys remarks really wishing he had chanced it before and ran from the cops. Nothing more is said. Everyone in the cell either falls asleep on one of the four cots or stays awake, like Rhys does. He does not want to sleep and let one of them do something while the officer watching them turns her back for a second or two. After about two hours the painkillers wear off and the pain in his ribs bothers him again. He sits down resting his back against the wall, keeping a close eye on the two who are watching him. They look like vultures waiting for their injured pray to fall so they could take from it without a fight. It was a long night, and a longer day. The only thing he is able to do is wait, and this lack of control is getting to him. He speaks up when the female officer switches shifts with another male officer. Asks to get his one phone call but they ignore him, acting like they don't hear.

The trip to the store was uneventful, Calista not even realizing that she was being followed, entered the small convience store and waved to the clerk. She was a regular here, comming to restock her fridge at least once a week. The owner had close ties to the Mafia as well, making this a safe place to shop. Picking out the things she would need to feed herself and Marcus, she headed to the counter. Already she was looking forward to the walk home, the peaceful night calmed her and helped her to forget her wound. Chatting to the clerk as he bagged her items, she felt at ease.
Eyes stared at her from the dark car parked across the road. Waiting for her to leave the store.

Christy heard footsteps behind her. She wanted to run, but she was too afraid. She tried to ignore them. She suddenly felt a hand on her mouth and nose, keeping her from breathing. She bit down on the hand, tasting blood. She screamed and stomped on his foot, running back towards Calista's. Screaming again and again, trying to arouse someone's attention. She felt something or someone grab the back of her shirt, but she continued moving, when she heard a RIIIIIPP she didn't care though. She just wished she was back at Calista's, as she continued running.

MARCUS?! Lynn stared in total shock. What is he...how did he... A myriad of thoughts assaulted her as she wondered how on earth he had come to be there. Her mouth opened into a slight O as her jaw went lax. Looking most un-lady like, Lynn couldn't help but feel out of sorts. And she wondered if that was really him as well, or if her mind were just playing some sort of elaborate prank on her. She waited for him to speak again, her breath caught in her throat.

Marcus looked Lynn up and down. "Yes Lynn, it's me. I know it's been a long time. I never thought I'd see you again, and them when I bumped into Rachel, litterally, I would leave until I saw you again. And now I guess I can't leave."

Marcus looked down at the floor. "I couldn't do anything four years ago, and it drove me crazy. I spent all these years looking for you, but I never had any information than i already knew...which, sadly, was nothing. So when I ran into Rachel, all I could think about was that day, when I felt most helpless. I couldn't stop the two of you from disapearing, so i would be damned if I let you two go again. Ask Rachel, she did a damn fine job of trying to get me to leave, and never come back. I came of my own free will....."

He looks at Rachel. "Sorry....it's early morning, so I'll leave you alone, if you wish..." he said, halfway closing the door behind him.
