Hasn't he learned yet?
Hunai was stuck both times, but that did not matter. The same effect would happen to all of the paper blades sent at her. Absorbtion. Except this time, she would strike back. As the final blade came upwards, it's attack dissolving as the momentum finished itself, Hunai moved.
Down.
Up.
Strike!
Hunai ducked as the attack finished, and brought her right fist upwards in an uppercut. The attack was directed at the mage's chin. As the attack came upwards, a single blade expelled from the top of Hunai's wrist creating the same 'paper blade' effect that the Mage had used on her.

Lady Sierra Her breathing was a little shallow, and her voice was a wee bit harsh from screaming. But the smile that melted away the icy desolation of her face was as warm as summertime. She breathed a small prayer of thanks as she leaned up and pressed a trembling kiss to his lips. He'd seen her through the storm.
"Thank you..." "Don't thank me. I only did what I wanted to do." He was looking off to the side, as she kissed, him, but holding her gently against him nontheless. Ah.. love. Feh. "How long has this been happening?"

Vahn Kyonuske "Don't thank me. I only did what I wanted to do." He was looking off to the side, as she kissed, him, but holding her gently against him nontheless. Ah.. love. Feh. "How long has this been happening?" She had the grace to look slightly embarassed as he averted his eyes.
"Ever since I broke free of Ra'kar and your Brother... He did something that put her in control and I don't know how to reverse it..."

Ares' essence began to hover around Katia... it was a subliminal thing, but it warned her of most oncoming attacks. She began to look around, checking for the threat Ares had presented her with, finally spotting the man she had saved yesturday.
"Gods have mercy on him if he shoots at me," she said simply, her eyes turning a deadly gray as she eyed him furiously.

"Control...? She's the dominant persona now...or is--?" He was confused, as to how his brother could have done anything to deeply effect Sierra to the point that whatever mental blocks she had in place to restrain her darker persona were now weakened to the point that it may as well have been a revolving door...
..However he wasn't one to just brush it off. "Well... you've been keeping control over it from what I can tell."

She couldn't help but laugh bitterly. She'd been keeping control? Hardly. If she had, the other night with the Marquis would have never happened.
"Not really. Ra'kar has a certain fondness for showing me just how frail my control is and then exacting darker pleasures at my expense..."

He screamed in pain as his jaw was severed by the said blade, cutting through the lower half of it. His left hand came up to it swiftly, paper in hand as he palstered it over the wound. Immediatly it sealed it and stopped the bleeding, though the internal aspects of the wound would have to wait a while to be healed. That is, anyway, if he made it away alive. Analysing said situation, it was obvious that offence was out of the question. Winning was never a goal for him in this, however.
Slightly angered, but mostly unsure, the vest ripped from his form in what was essentially a burst or explosion. Beneath it one saw a myriad of paper tentacles, some lifting him up in an odd doctor octopus sort of manner, others forming a wall of defence and the rest left to do whatever he told them to. The common enchantment he'd been using thus far was simple and prereadied, enveloping each strip. What had been damning this of course, or so he thought, was that the wards were being stripped off as soon as they made contact. Enchanting enchantments... Sounded ridiculous. Regardless of how many layers he would add though, they could only slow it down. The time that would offer would be so short that its pointless altogether.
It took the magi, it took the paper... It took. Absorbing, yes, thats what was happening. What he could do to counteract this though... the answer evaded him. He'd little time to sit there and think about it though. Hence, with enormous strength, the many extra appendages thrusted him from the ground and back- away. No defence, no means of attack... only evasion. His wirey frame would aid any needed maneuvering in hopes of evading his opponent, and he used any time he could buy to think.
Itd require a complex enchantment, yes? Nothing he could conjure up on the fly, that was for certain. Slip in hand, he would begin a silent incantation. Several facts made this already complex spell harder to prefrom. He could not speak it aloud due to his mouth injury, nor could he focus nearly as well since he was, you know, probably being chased by something that had high hopes of breaking him down into simple matter and energy and devouring him.
'I take into thee... aspects... structures thereof... to make.. to unmake...' Chopped and butchered were his thoughts as he attempted to pull it off. Intense pain, fear, evading... it all made it nearly impossble, and he was by no means some grand conjurer of awe inspiring spells- certainly no wizard. His preperations would continue for quite some time, thus he had to make moving an equal priority.
((You know I suck at magic. Damn j00 Mage DDD=))
