i'm going with ninjas they have the 'kiss of the dragon' it could kill a pirate in his tracks. that's where a ninja has a wristband on and he uses one hand to hold the person's head down, the other to hold both arms to breaking point behind the person's own back. this leaves both unable to move. inside the ninja's wristband is a single needle with a red tip. this red tip is a lethal poison. the tip is in the band. the ninja must remove the needle with his mouth and stick it in the person's neck, into the spinal column. the poison makes all the person's blood suddenly rush to their head, causing a painful death. the ninjas also have 'the death touch' on that one, enough said.
so, i'm ninjas all the way! unless it's jack. YAY JACK!

I have to go with the ninja. Pirates are notorious for drinking, and a drunk pirate does not stand a chance against a ninja.

you must remeber too that ninjas travel in small bands as pirates travel in large ships!!!!! so should not a large group use to fighting unusal odds win every time!!!! pirate pirate pirate pirate pirate pirate pirate pirate

Ninjas, no doubt. Well, I mean, there are a few situations where a pirate could win, but they're all rather ridiculous.

Touche`! But.... (it pains me to say this because I like pirates better)... Ninja's use stealth so, if done properly, they could sneak on a pirate ship and pick them off without them ever knowing. That is until it is too late. (sorry pirates sad )

I'd rather be a pirate.
They're loud and obnoxious and sing a lot.
