After giving Tomoe a soft smile and a 'You're welcome' back at him to what he said quietly, Coralie refused to leave Tomoe's side, staying with him for Rei's sake and her own. She knew that her new friend cared about what happened to Tomoe, and honestly so did she. That at it seemed Tomoe enjoyed the attention she was giving him. Did he not get this kind of attention by the others in his village? That was just terrible! Aurora looked much better now that she had been healed, giving a sigh of relief. Aurora was one of the first people she had met on this trip, and it made her heart sing to know she was now healed from her injured ankle. Being hurt was never a good thing, and could be a major problem for years to come! She had yet to see Rei yet though after they went to the circle. Maybe Rei was in the other house? Coralie thought of what to say to Tambre when she saw her get upset about what was going on. She too was upset, but now wasn't the time to be violent. They had to prove to the elders that they were not a threat, and hitting walls was not the way to do that. Besides, Bridgette was right. If they were going to need to fight later for their freedom, they would need to save up that strength. Seeing everyone calming down, Coralie turned toward Tomoe to see how they were doing. Surely there was something she could do for him ", You doing alright? You've been through a lot today, and a lot more later too. Need anything from me?"

Tambre flinched slightly when Bridgette started fussing with her hand, though she hardly let it show. Having been on the battlefield before, she was more than used to impromptu medical practices. She just gritted her teeth through the pain and let Bridgette work, not wanting to worry her that it had caused any sort of pain. At the thank you Tambre just shook her head, but said nothing, her eyes veering off in a different direction. "They won't keep me from my children, I won't let them..."
When Bridgette mentioned food, she tried to refuse. She wasn't sure she could keep anything in her stomach right now, it was entirely twisted and she was starting to feel sick. She was never that good at keeping her stress down. When Bridgette insisted, she took it, just barely picking at the food. She mumbled a "Thank you." under her breath, trying to be polite though she still was pretty angry and pretended to eat a couple bites so that Bridgette wouldn't worry any further.

T'kani smiled as the Fey snuggled into her, squeezing her gently and resting her chin against Naosu's shoulder. She was still worried about if they'd ever get out of the forest and back home, but there wasn't anything she could do about it now. At least she was with friends while they waited for their fates to be determined, and she'd do her best to comfort those she cared for.
Which, she supposed, included the boy who was also stuck with them, his fate hanging in the balance. Though she wasn't even sure if he'd understand the gesture, she curled her fluffy tail around and draped it over his lap, trying to offer him a bit of comfort as well.

Tomoe had obediently entered the houses, settling down into a corner for comfort. His eyes flicked up once to view the group before dropping back to his feet, having gently allowed Rei and Coralie to tag along for comfort.
The group had begun to settle down and the man focused on his toes, wiggling them softly as he tried to restrain himself from more apologies. Niamh approached, his head raising to politely smile at her in greeting. He spotted the food, ears flicking softly in gratitude. He didn't touch the plates, though, as if waiting for her to choose her own first before he dared reach out.
Her question caught him off-guard, eyes flicking back to his toes.
"That's a kind offer." He admitted softly, fingers reaching out to gently touch the ground. "I don't know if I have a place outside of here, though." Neptune had offered him a place to stay, but that wasn't what he meant. Despite how infuriating he was to the Elders, he had been born and raised here. He only knew here, and going somewhere without the people he knew or access to them? What world was that? Would he be alone in a world that had clearly progressed without him?
That was terrifying.
Tomoe let out a shaky sigh, hands raising to curl around the tops of his knees, head slowly settling onto them. It didn't matter, really. The Elders minds were made, right?
Naosu leaned against him, causing his head to raise and eyes to soften slightly. He gently leaned against her for support, trying to give any strength he had to the tired woman.
At Coralie's question he immediately shook his head rather forcefully. "I'm okay, thank you. You've done more for me than I deserve." He paused, looking up at the small collection of people who had come over. "You all have... I can not express how kind you all have been."
He hadn't expected something fluffy to nest in his lap. Glancing up at T'kani, he smiled softly, grateful for the small comfort.
He was truly lucky, at least, that he had a chance to meet these people, even under such circumstances (which were entirely his fault).

When he didn't initially take a plate, she gently handed him one of the two, and began to quietly eat. She glanced over at Xerxes, and smiled at him, glad he was with her. When Tomoe said he wasn't sure he had a place, she shook her head. "You'd have a place. Worst case scenario, I'm positive Ava would let you come to the Academy to study, so you could learn more about the outside world... And if so, a lot of us would be nearby, like myself. Ava's good people, as are the rest of the staff... And we'd make sure you had a place." She turned to Xerxes, and added "Don't you think so, Xerxes?"

Xerxes blinked as he heard his name and looked up. Raising an eyebrow, he swallowed his food before speaking up. “Yeah. The academy's a good place, overall. There are a few bad apples, student wise — though that’s anywhere — but the staff are nice and very helpful.” Xerxes sat his mostly finished plate off to the side and leaned back, arms supporting his body as he relaxed back and laid his tail over his legs. “I won’t lie, though. It’s rough being different. People are afraid of different — I’ve experienced it. Being a hybrid hasn’t been a walk in the park. But people are more accepting than they used to be — especially the younger generations.” He gave a small sigh and glanced to Tomoe. “It’s why I kind of understand where your elders are coming from. I, of course don’t agree with their methods or punishment. And to keep a village closed off from the rest of the world can be just as dangerous. But my guess is they’re scared. They want to protect your people and they’re doing it the best way they know. It’s not right,” Xer said as he frowned and glanced around at the others in the house with them. “It’s definitely not right. We have families too — people that care about us.” He gave a small smile and a nod as he turned back to look at Niamh. “But she’s right, you definitely have a place amongst us. We’d be more than happy to have you at the academy. And I may be just a junior, but you definitely have a friend in me.”

Bibiana giggled at how Ghester made a beeline for the food. She had Gaius hadn't even had a chance to find them a place to sit when the Grimm was on his way back with a lot of food. "Wow, that's a lot of food!" she laughed. She was pretty sure he had said they could all share what he had gotten and nodded at him with a smile before turning to Gaius. "If anybody is still hungry after what he's got is gone, we can make the next trip. Fair?" she asked, reaching up to pet one of his critters before starting to look for a comfy place to sit.
"How about over there?" she asked them, pointing toward a place that looked like it was large enough for the three of them. Even if they were stuck in this place for now, she was really glad she had come on the trip. She got to spend time with Ghester as well as meeting new friends like Gaius and Harley. There'd been so much excitement since they stepped off the bus practically and now the Geist was running on fumes. She yawned adorably as she waited for the boys' input.

As azure heard the elders say they would be staying and learning from someone within their village. He took this time to rest and eat. he went and gathered a bit of food for hm self. resting and relaxing on the porch with his mind lost in the current issue at hand, but he couldn't do much about it, even if they did keep them forever here, he would make the best of it, though he worried about his girlfriend. he sighed and pulled out a notebook from his pocket and began to write. He would send letters to her, if they did but for now, he would write letters just in case. Not knowing if they would change their minds or not.

Bebe could never tell Nashira how much it meant to her to have her nearby as she slept. With a smile that was less forced than before, she nodded and moved closer to her friend. "I'd love that," she cooed, snuggling up to Nashira contently. "It's... so cold here compared to my home," she said softly, almost too quietly to hear. After a few moments of rest near her friends, her steady breathing turned to purring as she lay in bliss, drifting into deep sleep. The next day she'd realise this was the closest she'd ever been to an intimate moment with another girl, but for now she was far too tired to blush.

That night was undoubtably frightening for most of the group. The threat that they'd never return home loomed over them, and for some it prevented the sweet calm of sleep to overtake them. Others found the futons set delicately aside in a corner and greeted sleep gratefully. Tomoe was not one of those, as long after the chatter had grown to a quiet whisper he stayed within his corner, sometimes giving a soft nod or quick response before slowing back into a stiff silence.
Eventually, the sun arose and the darkness from the forest lifted. It was still shaded, mostly due to the trees, but whatever magic kept the forest so dark at night had been lifted momentarily, giving the group a chance to finally see their surroundings properly. Unfortunately, it didn't seem they'd get that chance anytime soon, as only a mere few hours after sunrise the sliding doors to both houses were opened. Ayame stood in the entrance of the right house, and the priestess stood in the entrance of the left one. Behind them stood Nagoro. The children from before could not be found.
Tomoe shot up immediately at their arrival, slipping free from anyone who tried to protect him at the moment as he gave a deep greeting bow. The priestess waved her hand briefly towards him before wandering off the porch and circling the houses.
"Good morning." Ayame greeted quietly, arms folded over his chest as he stepped back to properly view both houses. "I hope you slept well." He added, his tone hinting at just how difficult this greeting was. The priestess, luckily, saved him from further discussion as she rounded back around the houses and trotted up to him, nodding.
"Alright." He muttered towards her before glancing back at the group, watching as those who had fallen asleep began to stir into a more active state. "I will give you five minutes to get ready. Once you're ready stand on the porch."
With this, he returned to Nagoro's side, muttering something to his partner in command. Occasionally anyone in the group paying attention would notice that the village around them was alive. Doors shifted to houses, allowing curious eyes to peek, and window curtains rustled. It seemed the inhabitants had finally noticed the newcomers, and while none seemed to leave their houses they were definitely watching.
It was well over five minuets before Ayame realized the time was up, startling slightly as Nagoro seemed to lean in to remind him. Cheeks heating up for a split second, the large Elder instantly sprang back to the porches, arms folded against his chest once more.
"Er, right." He coughed, tails flicking in agitation. His eyes landed on Tomoe briefly before he returned his gaze to the group, gritting his teeth slightly. Finally, after what seemed a torturous moment of consideration he released a heavy sigh, a hand raising to rub the back of his head.
"You're leaving today." He sighed, shoulders lowering as tension seemed to flutter away. "We spoke to the council and the majority of us decided that it'd be best to release you." He paused, ruby eyes narrowing harshly. "That doesn't mean we're releasing Tomoe, nor does it mean you're leaving without us ensuring you won't speak about us." He added, glancing at Nagoro once more.
"Before you can go, we're going to put a spell on each of you. Discussing this village or us will result in an, uh, unpleasant punishment." He seemed unsure, probably making it obvious he wouldn't be the one to put the spell on the group.
Claire, who had remained rather quiet, let out a disappointed sigh. It was better then being trapped, they supposed.
With that, the Elders didn't answer many questions offered, instead hurrying the group to gather themselves for the walk back. Once the group was prepared the Elders began the trip back to the beginning of the barrier, once more talking quietly amongst themselves. The priestess stayed in the back, occasionally raising her hand whenever someone drifted too far from the group to force them back with a guidance spell. Tomoe stayed beside her, his hands held together and head low, eyes focused on the ground. He didn't respond to anything said to him, stuck in a deep trance.
When they finally reached the barrier the Elders stood aside. The barrier was still up, stronger then it had been before. With a gesture, the priestess and Nagoro summoned a circle.
"If you want to get out you need to step in that." Ayame commanded, leaning against a large tree as he watched the group. "And no, you can't stay here. We aren't looking for newcomers." He added.
Everyone has been escorted back to the barrier, which hasn't been lowered. A spell is being placed on them, preventing them from uttering certain words or phrases that can reveal the village. This is the last time to speak to the Elders, so if your character has any last minute questions you might want to get them in now!
On September 4th another post will be made on Ava.
If you are addressing the Elders, quote both nepsah and Yushika.

Aurora was so disappointed and upset they would let Tomoe come with them, they considered him dangerous. She wanted to ask why he couldn't be put under the same spell and set free, but she was sure that they would consider that a risk to their race. Aurora wished they would have agreed to drop the barrier and join the outside world, but no one could force them to do that. Aurora turned to the elders and said with a sighed. "What are the rules of this spell, is it only the spoken word or is it also writing??" She hadn't wanted to tell them her intentions of writing a book about this whole ordeal, but punishment was big. "What words will trigger the spell, will this hurt our everyday lives??" Aurora was upset, this was just so much, she had so much hope. Aurora had to try once more "Will you even consider letting Tomoe come back with us?? He could be known as a Hallowed grimm, no one has to know what his real race is.." Aurora said softly, she didn't want to go back to her old life knowing they had walked away from someone who needed their help just to leave him to be killed. Whether he thought he deserved it or not, Aurora's heart wouldn't let her rest without trying again. Aurora looked down at her ankle these people were not heartless, they had healed her wound, there had to be some way to reach out to them and gain their trust, but perhaps that day wasn't today. Aurora just didn't know.

Ayame stared at Aurora, an ear twitching at Tomoe's name. Irritation flickered across his face as he frowned at the girl. She was pushing it, and it showed as he seemed to go from content to frustrated within seconds.
"It shouldn't hurt your everyday lives unless you keep trying to speak about this place." He curtly responded. "Words won't trigger, intention or situation will. You can say forest all you want, but if you're referencing this one you'll quickly realize that wasn't a good idea. Writing will trigger the spell, as well." What were her plans? Clearly the spell was a good idea...
What was it with these people constantly mentioning how Tomoe could be a Hallowed? It was a risk. A risk he didn't want to take, and a risk the village didn't want, either.
"He's staying with us." He firmly stated, nodding towards Tomoe to come closer. Tomoe shifted from the group, settling to the side by the tree and eying the circle as he did so.

Aurora sighed she figured that would be the answer to everything. She had said her piece, she wasn't a fighter. "That's really sad, I'll be honest I wanted to write a book about this place, about your people, about the kids, but if you feel that strongly, and well the spell gives me no choice. I hope someday you'll change your minds and share your culture with others, thank you so much for healing my ankle." Aurora turned to Tomoe "I know you blame yourself for all this and don't think you're worth us fighting for you, but I'm glad I met you and wish you could come with us." Aurora started to cry, she didn't want Tomoe killed, she didn't want anyone to be killed. She still didn't understand the test he had to take, and why he was on his own chasing those kids a test that took their whole group to complete the challenge it seemed so unfair. Aurora would let the elders or Tomoe say whatever else they would say, she wasn't sure what else she could say, Aurora felt so much and wasn't sure what to do.

The night had not been kind to the young grimm and it showed in the dark circles under her eyes and the way she seemed to have trouble focusing. Still, when the elders approached, she whipped her headphones off and since she'd never left the porch, simply stood up and moved when told.
And in spite of her sleep deprived state, she couldn't help but feel elation that the council had elected to release them. Then elation turned to sadness as they were told Tomoe would be staying. Which meant they'd be leaving him to a death sentence, didn't it? She watched the priestess as well as Nagoro make their circle and then switched her attention to Ayame and sighed. No, he didn't like them at all. Still, the spell worried her. Tomoe being left behind worried her more.
With a soft little sigh, she stepped a little closer to Ayame and rubbed at her eyes, trying to appear as small and child-like as possible.
"Please, I didn't really sleep and just want to make sure I understand completely," she began. "Will the spell trigger if I said I got lost in the Forbidden Forest overnight and then found the right path out once morning came? Because, frankly, that's all I'm planning on saying about this place."
She paused and looked from one elder to another, trying to figure out how to phrase her next words.
"I know you don't like us and I'm sorry for that. We're not bad people. Will you please at least consider coming out of hiding before it's too late? For the sake of your children and future children. And can... can I say a proper goodbye to Tomoe? He's a friend now. Please?"

Ayame scowled at Aurora. How many times had they said they didn't want anyone to know about this place? He thanked the deities Nagoro thought of the spell, giving an appreciative glance at Nagoro and the priestess before directing his gaze away from Aurora. He knew it, these people were noisy. And they wondered why he wanted to keep them here forever!
Tomoe smiled softly at Aurora, hands wringing together as he forced himself to stay in the moment to respond. "Thank you, Aurora." The smile on his face lingered for a second, yet it didn't reach his eyes, head dropping back to stare at his feet.
Ayame, originally, did not enjoy when Zahneel spoke. He was used to a temper that matched almost his, so when the teenager spoke his eyes shot to her with disdain. Yet, she did not argue, instead questioning the spell and pleading to say goodbye. His glance at Nagoro showed he was uncertain about her question, but unfortunately the other Elder was fairly busy.
"That should be fine?" He began, sighing in relief when the priestess seemed to notice the confusion.
"You are welcomed to say that. We understood that the forest has been spoken of before. As long as our people, the events that happened, and our village remain unmentioned you will not risk harm." She responded, voice soft and soothing. Ayame, relieved, nodded, as if he knew the answer the entire time. As for Zahneel's other questions...
".... We have discussing to do." Ayame mentioned quietly, nodding towards the barrier. "We cannot make a decision overnight. The world out there is unknown to us, and we frankly don't know the things you do. We need time." He paused, reluctant to continue. "We are set in our ways." That was all he seemed to want to offer, finally directing his gaze to Tomoe.
"Say your goodbyes. He is your friend, and we will not force you to depart without speaking."
