Altais felt much like the child of the group, and it made him a little sad. With Prehnite out of his hair, the senshi was able to focus on who was taking his hand and that Corvus would be leading him away from any future battles.
Like her though, his mindset focused on what she said, and he used his expert puppy skills in finding Dene, who was rushing towards Laurelite!?!? WITH CELSUS?!?!?
"C..Corvus! There!" He pointed at the two who were far from their reaches and switched, using his long legs to take the woman with him or to keep up at her side. "Wh..What are we suppose to do!?!?" Like tackle Dene and Celsus and carry them out of here!?!?

Corvus, Eternal of Vengenace
She didn't hear Altais at first. No, that wasn't right. She heard him, but his words weren't making any sense. Nothing about any of this made any sense. No, wrong again.
Celsus. He made sense; the state of mind that he had been in when they had first crossed paths, the self-destructive behavior now. That made sense because she had been there before. She knew what it was like to throw yourself at something with complete disregard for whatever might happen to you.
Denebola. How many times had the Senshi of Vengeance thrown herself in the way of an attack in hopes of sparing an ally? How many times had she rushed in head first just to get that initial hit out of the way just to activate her magic?
Her stomach churned and she swayed on her feet, releasing the hold that she'd had on Altais. What are we supposed to do? He asked as though she knew; like she had an answer. "I-I don't..."
No. Now wasn't the time for falling apart. Now wasn't the time for self pity or self doubt.
Corvus swallowed back the sickness, pushing away all of the doubt and fear of loss in order to channel her rage instead. "We get them and we get out, along with everyone else. We came in here together and we're going to leave together." As long as he didn't ask her how she might be alright. The Eternal was up for suggestions on that part of the plan.
It felt traitorous, even stopping to talk. She’d been warned that her enemies would appear agreeable, normal, even kind. But it was all a ruse, an attempt to steal away the children and destroy earth. Hessite licked her lips and couldn’t move, trapped like a deer in headlights. Yet she still wanted to help the child, get him safe and away. He was so young to have seen such horrors. Surely he could be reasoned with, saved.
“I don’t want to fight you,” she told him and she meant it. Her gaze shifted to the stammering senshi. “I can’t… I can’t… they won’t listen to me.” The youma were beyond her. They frightened her too, even if they ignored her presence for the most part.
There was something else coming, something dark and horrible that both thrilled and terrified her. It would come to end this and if the young one wasn’t out by then, he might die.
“Please… come with me,” she held out a hand, to Goretti alone. “I’ll lead youpast them.” If she could.

Scholomance, Squire of Saturn
The magic ended, and the princess gathered her senses enough to move away from her opposition despite the magic's effects. With her in the clear, and tending to one of their own, they bought more time to reorganize and escape. She fainted soon after, however, with the administration of a purification - that left Laurelite to regroup and decide on less resilient targets.
Like everyone else. Already she lashed out at anything that moved, with growing fervor. Buying the princess extra time looked less like a decisive factor than he initially thought. Their forces surged forth now, unabated, and scoffed in the face of their resistance.
Inwardly Scholomance wondered if he could strike a deal to place himself beyond the General-Queen's cold fury, but the sudden clap on the shoulders brought a knifing pain that changed his thoughts instantly. Hissing a breath through his teeth, Scholomance bent forth beneath the sting. Palatine hadn't known about the acid rain striking him as well. The bones adorning his uniform weathered it decently, though the cloth did not, leaving warped atrophic holes in his coat where no bone remained to soak some of the attack. The skin beneath looked reddened and raw from the irritants.
After a few steadying breaths, Scholomance managed to answer Palatine's question. "I can do more of that, but not a lot more." His bones already groaned from his earlier cast, and moving proved systemically painful. "I'm already at the point of demanding someone to carry me. I did have a handler earlier..." He spared a glance back to look for Centisima, where they parted ways at the distraught girl (Cybele). There wasn't time to wait for him, however, as they needed to move quickly - forces encroached, and distantly more arose in the form of a suffocating, iniquitous miasma. It felt ancient and monstrous, and far more deadly than any of their battlefield fodder. Scholomance limped on to join Palatine, then, in her progression toward the main front.
"I can cast on her." He spoke raggedly. "Laurelite. I can separate her from everyone, if only for a few moments. Her scythe would strike no one. It will give everyone time to evade her, assuming we have a plan to get to the portal. My magic is very limited, though - I won't cast it unless we get our s**t together." The starseed sack received a glance, a double-take, as he struggled to keep up with the Venusian squire. Were all those starseeds? Like the Negaverse's secret stash? How exactly were they intending to use those?
Scholomance came to a halt by the gathering, which looked largely like they were out of fight to give. He recognized a knight in unknown astronomical symbols from the signet ring meeting, but said nothing further to him. Palatine spoke while he looked over the others - the girl on the ground who nearly got corrupted, Babylon who looked seriously inured, a chibi (Oberon) nearby, and a Jupiter knight (Valhalla) clutching the princess. These weren't fresh-faced soldiers anymore.
Reluctantly Scholomance repeated to them what he mentioned to Palatine earlier. "It'll be a lot easier to get around the General-Queen if I use my magic on her. I can isolate her from everyone. Then, the quickest path is straight through this mess and into the portal. Remember - we only had an hour since we got here. How much time has passed?" He spared everyone a pointed glance. "I'll do what I can if you need help, but be quick about getting yourself out of trouble."

Just a small gap, Tomlin silently urged the youma, but they lumbered in to fill up the dust-covered spaces where snow and persistence had been making steady headway. They were like mountains to the cat, blocking out the faint hopeful promise of their way out. There were more than ever, more than he could count. Unlike the human(ish) agents of Chaos, youma couldn’t be reasoned with, or bargained with. They couldn’t be counted on to show sympathy for the group of chibis and young teens. They didn’t know mercy.
Perdita was bleeding, and he could see the others were getting scared. And even as Perdita warned them, he felt it too. This darkness. This was far more than any here could hope to stand against. If his ears had flattened any further they would have retracted into his skull.
Some guardian he was, letting them end up like this. Even if he used his energy beam, it wouldn’t dent youma this size. (And he didn’t want to see Oort’s expression if he had to be carried out of here exhausted and unconscious.)
A long-limbed youma took a swipe at him. Tomlin twisted out of the way at a spine-bending angle and jumped to wrap himself around the monster’s wrist with teeth and all four legs. It hit its own arm trying to dislodge him, and though the blow sent shockwaves juddering through his small body, he clung on.
There was one small benefit to fighting youma, he realised, and that was that they were not smart. While the youma drew back its free arm to strike again, Tomlin adjusted his position and began scaling the thing, aiming for the shoulder. It couldn’t hit him if it was wearing him. And maybe if he made enough noise, the press of youma would dust themselves trying to get him off their heads.
“If you see a way through, go for it,” he called down to the team, “we’re close.” Which may have been a lie, but ‘lies to children’ was a valid form of teaching, wasn’t it? They couldn’t give up hope.

Sailor Subamara, Senshi of Coffee
“I’m calm!” Subamara protested to Ananke, though it sounded far more like a sob than it should. Hearing Athene screaming like that was hell on her focus.
But one thing at a time.
She hunched forward over her bandaging attempts, feeling the vicious acid sting against her back. Better there than on her face, or on the injured senshi’s wounds. Pushing down panic, she concentrated on tying her ribbon around the slash, tight enough to keep the pressure on it. Her gloves were slippery with blood. First aid never looked this messy in the movies.
Grus started calling for Athene, and Subamara nodded furiously. “I know.”
Fixing her knot, she risked a look back at where Athene and Liryn had been. She didn’t realise she’d been holding her breath until it came out in a rush. The hooded girl in pale blue and the desert-looking girl in red were by Athene’s side, and had already picked up the poor cat.
“They’ve got him,” she assured Grus, “they’re helping him. How’s that? Can you move?”
Something nightmare-made was impinging on her aura senses. Ananke was right, it was way past time they got everybody out.
And there it was the thrum of chaos energy that would not let them leave alive. More, apparently the only other person able to fight a youma and do any lasting damage was down for the count. If there ever was a deck of cards stacked against them this was it. Laurelite was being, like Apatite, bombarded by others, and getting involved would only serve to put more in harms way.
For now, all he could do was remove his larels, cast tiara magic, and cut down a path to the portal.

Sailor Cybele
Almost as soon as she was picked up, the burning sensation began to fade, but there was no time to be asked to be put down and try to stumble away. She was still injured, and getting away from the most intense part of the fight was probably a good idea. Not that there was any way to really get away from the fight. Even as she was being carried off, drops of acid burned at her skin and dress.
"All right. It's over," she informed him, glancing back towards the fray just in time to see Ganymede fall and Lacrimosa meet the business end of the General-Queen's scythe. She tensed suddenly, using every muscle in her body to keep from screaming. Her eyes had been watering from the pain, but she was crying proper tears no.
"No..." she whispered. There wasn't time for anything more. Focus. She needed to focus. She looked back to the senshi who was carrying her. "I can make people faster for a bit. I don't know if it'll be enough, but... I can try. Who needs out the most?" Her words also came quickly, and were surprisingly businesslike, given the situation. She scanned the crowd, seeing a few familiar faces, many injured, many chibis... there were so many... she wasn't even sure how much magic she had left, but she knew she couldn't help them all. Then, she felt it. There was something at the edge of her senses, disgustingly Chaos and huge. "Wait. Do you feel that? Something is coming."

Super Goretti, Chibi Senshi of Glue
Goretti hesitated. On one hand, a way out. Someone was offering him a free pass to escape.
On the other hand…Oh, man, there were so many things on the other hand. She could be lying and just trying to get him away to attack him by herself. She could be trying to steal all the starseeds he'd filched from the barracks.
And on that same, other hand, it meant he'd leave Aptera and Altair all by themselves if Hessite didn't want them coming along.
He was a chibi senshi, so he knew his magic wasn't all powerful or even great, but he was a super senshi, and he had been doing this for a while.
And he didn't want to abandon anyone. He noted that Hessite did not seem so keep on helping the other two, and he knew that as a kid he must have looked like an easy target. Hessite seemed to want to help, but…he couldn't just abandon the two that had just approached him.
He swallowed but forced a quick smile, even though he did not take the lieutenant's hand. "How about, you go and we'll follow. I'm pretty quick, but I can't leave my friends behind. I think we're all pretty sorry about crashing your place and making this big mess, but you're being really nice about all of this."

Sailor Sidouer // Senshi of Static
Announcing one's presence and intent while attacking was a sure fire way to have it end in folly. Nonetheless, caught up in the surprise of the attack and with a blade as finely sharpened as Benitoites’ spear, the bite of metal stung like something fierce as Sidouer attempted to dodge backwards out of the way. Out of instinct both arms came up to defend herself from the downward swing which only resulted in further injury; an unfortunate fact was that the gloves she wore were of a thin material and unlike several of the knights at the meeting on the hill, her uniform offered no protection.
Teeth clenched and eyes narrowed in seething hate at the familiar general with that smug look on that war stained face of his. Clearly he had been hard at work thinning the herd. It sickened her to the store to see him covered in gore and still seeming unfazed by it all; it was almost as if Benitoite liked what he was doing.
Warm was the blood that stained her white bodice a crimson hue from the wounds that flowed freely from both her shoulder but she was not out of the game yet. The Mars Knight calling him out was all the distraction she needed to return the favor, but fate seemed to have other plans. Like a haunting in the distance the oppressive feeling of an intangible weight pressed down on her senses in the most sickening way. It felt like there were eyes upon them from the unseen shadows; a predator with wicked intent.
An unimaginable terror was on the horizon but they still had a monster here to deal with first and so,without warning, Sidouer rose to her feet and though the movement pained her greatly she ran her hands from her elbows to fingertips then called out the name of her attack “Chaining Static Shock!” Since her upgrade she had practiced her attack on several occasions and felt she understood the mechanic quite well; however, the confidence in such knowledge was quickly shaken when the arch of static did not bounce off the spear in his hand and instead lurched towards their groups ally. Oh s**t…
Attack:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Chaining static shock Sìdòuèr targets one opponent within 8' of her current location. This attack is similar to her first attack, however this time the attack can affect up to three targets and has a slightly larger radius. Rubbing her hands together she forms a ball of static energy forms in the palm of her hand; as an image of a Kirin begins to form it then charges/arches towards the intended target. If the ball of static energy hits the intended target, it gives the opponent a nasty shock it may numb the area where the opponent was struck (but it will not paralyze them unless she hits the same person in the same spot multiple times). Once the shock makes contact with the target it will then charge/ jump to the next nearest opponent dealing the same damage before jumping one final time (either back to the frist opponent or to a 3rd opponent). The opponents must be either in front of her, to her side, it will not target someone behind her unless she knows they are there and they are in range (The bolt can only hit a max of 3 people (or things), it can only jump twice).
If a battle takes place at night or in a dark area, there is a chance of the opponent's vision being either momentarily blinded or seeing the afterimage of the shock for 2-5 seconds (it is the exact same effect as if you are standing in a dark room and someone flips the lights on then off really quick you'll see a bright probably blue after image lingering in front of you while your eyes adjust). If the opponent is more than 8' away from her the static shock will target a near metal object in an attempt to reach said opponent (eats up a jump) if it still cannot reach out towards the opponent the static will fizzle out. This attack can be used 2 times per battle.
Sailor Ananke of Portals Ananke took a deep breath as she stood up. "I think I can redirect attacks three times..." Ananke smiled brightly trying her best to show that she was scared. "See my powers are completely useless on their own... and honestly I'm not sure it works on all types of attacks." Her smile then turned into an apologetic smile.
"T... The only way to get to the exit is to go threw them..." She knew it was stupid not everyone was going to be able to use their abilities. "It's risky... and people are going to have to help others get out of here. But if we wait around here any longer." She didn't finish her sentence it didn't need to be finished. They would all be in trouble if they stuck around too long.

Half Youma General Cinnabar - Intercepting Bifrost
The burn persisted after the rain ceased and Cinnabar snarled in pain, feeling the edges of her world go fuzzy and dark. She shook herself, fighting it off, and her hand dipped into her pocket for one of the shining gems she kept on her person. She fumbled through the small handful and pulled one that shone red as blood, crunching it between her teeth to release the sweet, bracing rush of energy it held inside of it.
The burning stopped as flesh repaired itself and the euphoria bled into the ecstasy of the youma she had eaten till there was no pain, no stiffness or aches, to hinder her. When her eyes refocused, Cinnabar's smile was feral and she moved smoothly into attack as the General-Queen began to lay about her with her large scythe. Cin did not have such a fine weapon, but her arms and her claws were strong... and she was going to put them to use.
The hint of a powerful signature teased at her senses, growing steadily in strength and volume as the General slashed a senshi, sending them tumbling to the ground. It was a thrilling feeling, but there was warning in it... a chance it might get too much for even her to bear... but there was no abadoning the battle field. Not while the Laurelite led them onwards.
Someone came out of the crowd to launch herself at the General Queen's back and Cinnabar snarled, darting forward to meet the rush head on. She grunted at the impact and her boots scraped the ground as it forced her back, but she stood strong, shoving back with a roar of effort.
"Hello, Pretty! Come play with me instead!" She laughed, taking a swing at the glowing knight's face.
"Do I look like I've got a ..." Kairatos started to protest, in what he would later come to regard as a moment of intense irony. Right before he was rudely interrupted by a painful shock that, nearly gleefully, leapt to his armor. Much of which was either metal itself or trimmed in it. He made a sound that had very little relation to any language in protest, his already jangled nerves protesting the burst of electricity that danced an merry little jig through him in mockery.
Right. Magic lighting. ... He'd take note to be a bit more careful around that in the future, or at least make sure he was hands on with an bad guy instead of an ally next time he got to be a lightning rod.
"Ghhh." He growled, between gritted teeth, trying to shake off the numbness and echos of offended nerves. " 'S matter Benny. You don't recognize me when I'm not on a bike? But then I guess the sovereigns only value their own brains..."
He nudged Cetus's shoulders, trying to encourage the shirtless Senshi to release him (at least when the poor bastards muscles stopped twitching from the shock... with which he could sympathize...)

Acrucis had fallen What the cause was, the senshi of doves had almost missed. In her turn, she caught the sight of the youma dove them and mentally cursed as she ran to her sister's side. Disagreement or not, Phact would never leave the woman behind...
"Can you stand?" Phact asked, dropping to her knees at Acrucis' side, hands coming to rest of the woman's back and shoulder as a voice stopped her.
Turning her eyes, the very person Phact had questioned days ago made his appearance. Her eyes had narrowed and one hand had come free as she took up a fighting stance while squatting. She would NOT let the general touch her sister.
But his eyes went elsewhere.
The exchange between him and Sidouer surprised her but then she remembered their history. Sidouer needed to do this.
But then it happened.
If Phact could have face planted as they do in animes, now would have been the time she did.
Now was not the time to bust out laughing. Now was not the time to lose it.
But from all the stress, and from knowing Sidouer's attack was not lethal, Phact couldn't help the smile on her face and the laughter coming up. She was leaning on Acrucis' shoulder in a near snort. Oh this was all too much and she was mentally shaking her head.
Grus went still, letting them cover her wound. She laid back, content that Athene was getting the help he needed. It was a small achievement in a long list of failures that this coup turned into.
There was a deep rumbling of power coming their way. Even as she looked up, youma were gathering in frightening numbers. She shut her eyes tightly, letting the pain become the norm.
"I...think I can...move." she said between tight breaths. Her head was spinning, probably from the blood loss. She forced her elbows to carry her weight up, sucking in a breath when the pain roared louder than the unknown thing coming their way.
"If you could help me..stand." she said, finding that her body couldn't lift her any higher. The gash on her core made a disconnect between upper and lower body. "I..could walk." I hope.
