Raising an eyebrow at Sarcel, Leeroi laughed incredulously. Under his breath, he mumbled "Oh, ******** off," staring the blueblood up and down. Although the teen had experienced a new bout of confidence, her wavering voice wasn't lost on Leeroi. He wouldn't be bending to the will of some new up-and-comer trying to make her place in the ranks. He clicked his teeth, sneering up Sarcel.

"That's what I was doing," He said to her as if he was explaining things to a wriggler. He had just paid his respects to Puchen, the hero of the night, what more did she want? "Are you hard of hearing? Or just not paying attention?" He gave Sarcel another once-over and gathered his papers together, turning to leave the room. He wasn't spending anymore time in this madhouse, listening to everybody scream about nothing. Now that he had his fun, all he wanted was to collect his goodie bag and get out of here.

"Let's go, Psykgi," He said, waving for his moirail to follow. There. He had a buddy. Maybe that would make Sarcel happy.

Why was Eridia screaming? Psykgi glanced up at her as she collected the evidence, surprised to find actual, genuine grief on her face. Her... ah... orange-splattered face. But who wasn't dead? Who did Eridia want to bring back? Tigwyn? Why? She felt an odd sort of catty concern for Eridia – brief but potent enough to be memorable – before she was brought back to reality by the last stray page, and by the commands of a certain blueblood. Psykgi, normally, was perfectly happy to follow orders. That was just common sense, after all. And when they were such reasonable orders as getting the ******** out of a burning hive Psykgi was normally happy to obey. In fact, she was about to do so when...

When her moirail got singled out. She tapped the pages against a solid surface to straighten them and tucked them safely under her arm before, her back straight and her smile taut on her face, she went to stand beside her moirail.

”Oh my gosh.” she said, putting her free hand on her hip, ”Can't you let him have his moment, I mean really...” she almost cursed as she scolded the older, higher ranking, and higher caste teen. But she wasn't tired enough for that... not yet. But she was getting there. ”This was a party! Don't rain on everybody's fun!” Unless, you know, there was actual rain. Again. Which would take care of the fire pretty nicely, wouldn't it. Or not – she'd never experienced a hive fire that wasn't also an explosive demolition of her old hive and city. She didn't really feel like having that experience tonight, though. ”Ignore her, Leeroi, We won. For Alternia and the queen and all that.” she caught up with him and wrapped her free hand around his elbow. In her head, the victory theme from one of Leeroi's games tinkled through her head.”Now lets go get our 'loot'”

      [+] Kursha Vidari

Sleuthsparks: 8/10

Kursha breathed a sigh of relief as Elidae came around. Turning back to her, he noticed her quaking hands. He took hold of them, and looked her in the eyes. “Helping Aiguma sounds like a pretty good idea. I don't think you can move her by yourself, but...” He pushed his tongue against his teeth, thinking. After a moment he released Elidae's hands and removed his vest. He offered it to the yellowblood. “Use this to staunch the bloodflow. You can do that right?” he quirked a grin. “Just a pressure near the wound to slow the bleeding. I'll be over in just a sec.”

Straightening, Kursha turned to regard Sarcel. The blueblood had taken charge admirably, but... there were some who did not seem to appreciate that.

No sooner had Psykgi finished speaking and turned to leave than something smashed hard into her back. Kursha stood behind the prone redblood, lowering his boot to the floor. “Out,” he growled. The smiling mask he had worn for most the evening had finally disappeared. His patience had run out. The next time someone spoke out, there would be another body on the floor. “And not another word. You've got your orders, so shut the ******** up and get a move on, or I will expedite your departure.”

The window technically was the fastest way to escape the burning hive.

Arms folded, Kursha glared down at the redblood, eyes boring holes into her.

" Aconan? Ah, so that's her name," Azrael repeated and looked at the greenblood then nodded. Okay, that was better than just greenblood anyway. He looked at Elidae with a mixture of worry and respect. He let out a little laugh at the forgetting thing, though maybe it was a bit untimely and showed how shot his nerves actually were. " I know Hemera, I was just looking for her and couldn't find her, Okay. "Azrael looked Elidae in the eyes, gave her hands a gentle squeeze and a nod to indicate that he understood her. " I won't let anyone else get hurt so don't worry, when it's over we can catch up properly, good luck Elidae," finally he let go of her hands. She was definitely stronger than he'd given her credit for. Finally, he turned away from the yellowblood and grabbed Eridia's and Aconan's hands so he could lead them out. He felt like he could trust Elidae to take care of herself, so he did. " Alright, we really have to get out of here, and sorry I didn't remember your name, Aconan, I won't forget in the future," With that said Azreal began the task of herding the two of them out while Keeping an eye out for the teal blood, wherever she was.

Panting, Mera rushed into the room, eyes widening a little at the scene. Most of the trolls from earlier were here, but some looked to be in pretty poor condition. Had they found Awassi? And Ioyana was missing... This was not looking good. Considering the delay before she caught up, and so many were still lingering, there must have been some problems. In fact, looking the group over, weren't there supposed to be more? Where had Lorata gone, for one? Hemera swallowed.

She was still here. And it looked like Elidae was, too. As was Sarcel, Aconan, among others... Not too many losses, considering the efforts on their lives. However, raging fire wasn't what she would call 'merciful'. "What in the world?" So many questions, so little time.

"I need to find Gerard. Let me go now, now, now, NOW." She ordered and tried releasing herself from Azrael's grip and he led them both. Ugh, she even learned the greenblood's name... Aconan. She would definitely get her culled for lying. Gerard couldn't possibly be dead, no. She wasn't going to belive it until she saw his dead body. "I want to see him! Let. Go." Wherever she used to be, there is now a hole in her world, which she finds herself constantly walking around it at the moment, and surely fall in once she knew the truth. Eridia already missed the adult like hell. She was so out of it, not even noticing Kursha stepping on Psygki's head commotion.

"LET GO!" She whined and tried running back but it was all fruitless. Eridia wearied to escape into the burning hive, and to be there to save him: not seeing the events unfold dimly through tears, and yearning for it through the walls of an aching bloodpusher: but really with it, and in it. Eridia wondered if he ever thought of her, and wanted to know for sure if she did. He was alive, she knew he was, she felt it! Her gut told her so. Then she stopped once the pang she felt on her chest when she told herself he didn't. She was a child, he couldn't have thought of her once, even if she went out her way to defend him.

"I need to save him Azrael...." She whimpered the last part. Her shoulder and back started to hurt once more, Aconan's words still ran wildly on her mind palace.

Comedi killed Gerard....Comedi killed Gerard... Comedi.... killed..... Gerard....C̍́ͨͪ̽ö́ḿ̀ē̛̓̓ͦ͛͊ḑ͌̋ͭi͒ͭ̾ͭͮ̃͆.ͤͫ́̒.ͨ̔.̃.̴̓̉ͧ ̸͛̓̾̎ͣͫͧk̸͋ͦ́ͤͧ̿̋iͬ̉҉l̐͒ͦͬͤ̑lͫ͛́̑ͩ̓é̆ͭ̎ͣͧ̅d̊͡..̢ͮ͆̄͑ͧ.͐͂̀͆̾̓.̡ͭ͌ͦ̽̀ͦͣ.͑́̃ͯ̾́ ͞G̛e̒̿͌͒r̒aͮr̾ͯ͞ḋ̊͒ͥ.̸̄̏.͒̉͊.ͩͭͧͮ͒ͫ͏.̎ͯ

As she walked, Eridia could feel she was rocking back and forth. Chanting that line in a whisper: Comedi killed Gerard. Over and over she repeated the same line, as if she was in some sort of trance. Kill your darlings, kill your darlings they say, even when it breaks your egocentric little scribbler’s pumpbiscuit, kill your darlings. Now she chanted another line.

"Kill your da̶rl̕i̵n̴gs....." Her chest felt another pang and another and another as Azrael led her and Aconan out of danger.

But what good did it made? How could he possibly save someone....

...who didn't want to be saved?

Regina stood in the door, watching the trolls inside. Turning her face to Puchen, she gave sardonic grin. "Nice aim. Shame on the everything else." Looking back, her eyes focused on Leeroi and Psykgi, each clutching their papers. She had seen how the blueblood had acted all evening and wasn't going to bother approaching him. No doubt the wiggler would snarl at her, and she'd be forced to cull him, and then everything would be spoiled. Her eyes trailed round to the older trolls. Could she ask one of them? Kursha was always an option, but relying on him too much would give the greenblood more power than she was willing to tip in his direction. There were others who had performed well tonight, but they all seemed tired - it was a little disappointing.

Psykgi was not expecting a boot to the back. Really, she should have known better. ”Oof?!” she gasped as she hit the very hard floor, her hard-collected papers flying as instinct took over to try to break her fall. She waited a moment, prone for the swarm to converge on her, as Ma'am did in such situations. Nothing. She opened her eyes to not a single roach in sight. Oh. The swarm has dispersed. It was to be expected, what with fire, rain, and poison gas and all. It hadn't happened this completely before, but it was no big deal. Ma'am wasn't dead – all Psy had to do was head home and reunite with the main swarm and endure very scuttling inspections.

She had to get home first.

She shoved herself onto her back and looked up at Kursha, a flash of uncertainty flickering in her eyes. Warmth dribbled in the side of her mouth where one of her teeth had broken - not her tusks, please not her tusks, she liked her tusks... a quick flick of the tongue told her that no, it was a different, smaller tooth – filling her squawk gaper with a metallic tang. My own blood she realized. This must be a very familiar taste for her moirail (unless blue blood was different tasting?) but it was not for her. The red of her blood blended and hid amidst her smudged lipstick as she assessed her situation.

This was a very new experience, and not one she wanted to continue or repeat. Especially not without Ma'am and alone... Well, she wasn't alone. She was with Leeroi. Leeroi who had already fought this greenblood once tonight and gotten very bashed up. She was with Leeroi, and that made it worse. That had the potential to make things so much worse. Wordlessly she stood up, grabbing Leeroi's arm in a vice grip – as much for her own comfort as to keep him from doing exactly what she expected him to do, and exactly what she wanted him to do.

For once, she was not smiling. Something powerful and very feelings-like stilled her voice. Words – her weapon of choice, inexplicably failed her. Well. Words be damned. Papers be damned. ”Yes. Sir.” she managed to drag out. She didn't know why she was upset about getting a boot to the back – she should be used to it by now, being a redblood in anywhere – but somehow, not having Ma'am, having a broken tooth, having her HAPPY PALEMANCE BUBBLE BURST... Well. It hurt. You'll pay for that. Later she thought quietly.

Taking his vest, Elidae once again listened to his words intently. Giving him a smile, she nodded her head, signifying she comprehended his directions. "Okay! Got it!"

As she made her way to her destination, she glanced back at the scene behind her. Kursha was addressing Psykgi and Leeroi, specifically the former with a kick to the back. Biting her lip, she turned a cheek. If they wanted to act out and not be cooperative with everyone else, they would suffer the consequences for it. The feeling was strange seeing Kursha in that light, but she supposed it wasn't... unexpected. Or was it? Regardless, she pressed on towards the opened bay window, the oceanic breeze cooling her hot face. Now was the time to be useful. She could assess her opinions later.

For just a moment, Elidae gazed at Tamiya's face, highly concerned and mentally preparing herself. She seemed to be completely out; her make up was smeared and covered in her own blood, as well as her heavy clothing, body hanging limp over... the dead corpse. Elidae made a face, both fearful and perturbed, then heaved a sigh.

"Okay, Tamiya. Time to turn you over." Elidae said softly, but then let out a gruff grunt when trying to turn the giant form. No use. Blinking, she stared a the blatant wound on her back. "Everything's alright, you're okay." Elidae knew the purpleblood probably wouldn't be able to hear her, but that didn't stop her from trying to sooth the situation. Bundling up and taking Kursha's vest, she pressed it onto the back of Tamiya's wound, hearing the squelch of blood. Purple rapidly stained the vest; Elidae could feel it seeping through the fabric, warm liquid reaching her fingertips and the stench filling her sniff nods. Looking away and scrunching her face, Elidae whimpered softly, voice cracking with a feigned positive tone. "Kursha will be here in a second. Everything's okay. You'll be okay."

Eridia's shouting made Aconan flinch. Not growl, as would be the usual response, but flinch. It was all too much for the little greenblood. Everything....everything was awful and loud and awful and and and and - She stepped back with her hands pressed against her auricular sponge clots, first slowly and then faster, looking like she was going to bolt, when Loupsus carefully nudged the back of her neck with his cold nose, reminding her where she was, reminding her he would protect her. But was that enough? Aconan stood still, thoughts and emotions raging around - she wasn't the best at emotional control at the best of times, but right now she was lost in the storm, and she knew that to try and express any of them would be a bad idea. No, she would stay quiet and calm and obedient, she would be a good dog troll.

Aconan didn't even startle when Azreal took her hand - instead, she simply clung onto it, fingers tightening around the others - desperate for some kind of comfort from another troll. It wasn't that Loupsus wasn't a good comfort, but he just. He didn't understand complex emotions, sometimes, and even with his bulk and warmth at her back she was shivering slightly. She didn't resist as he pulled away though - just trailed after him as he approached Elidae, and then Hemera. She didn't really seem to notice them, though. As he took her hand again, she obediently followed him, grip tight but not painful. She was eerily silent for the usually peppy and noisy child, though her gaze was focusing better now, at least.

Loupsus padded along behind the children, occasionally darting in front if there were suspicious shadows. He had his hackles up and looking protective of his little pack of kids - anyone who was going to harm his charge and her new friends was going to have to go through him!

Sarcel's face might have remained stoic, but it didn't tarnish the tang of blood in her mouth.

Her teeth gnawed on her tongue. She had all but turned her back on the group of wrigglers before Leeroi had the audacity to speak up. Sarcel said nothing. Her gaze was still cold, level, testing as the blueblood treated her—and everyone else in this room—with utmost disrespect. She wouldn't give the child the satisfaction of her anger, not when she had better things to attend to.

Honestly, it was the tiny redblood that spoke up, grinning and smarmy. Her eyebrow raised, This was a party! Don't rain on everybody's fun! She couldn't tell if the child was being serious or not; surely she wasn't right? Surely someone who had the brains enough to survive their wriggler trials at least at the sense not to be this absolutely moronic, right? She clicked her bloodied tongue against her teeth in a tiny tch.

She saw Kursha moving after talking to Elidae, watched him approach the child as she turned to walk away. Sarcel knew what was coming. This honestly wasn't the time, nor was it the place, but Sarcel couldn't stop herself. Some lessons just needed to be taught. She watched his boot slam the redblood to the ground. Sarcel had never felt such a stronger sense of satisfaction that night; infighting was unacceptable, but so was blatant insubordination.

She approached Kursha carefully, giving his arm a firm nudge as she glared down at Psykgi in tandem. One Yes Sir later, she was gone.

She turned her gaze to the greenblood, her stare saying something that spanned between good job and that's enough, but she settled on something easier to explain, short and pointed, "Thank you.". It was quiet, but there. It felt... strange allowing such gratitude, especially given her opinion of Kursha, but she felt it necessary. Were she not trying to organize the chaos, she might have found herself in his position.

Speaking of: Eostre, Tamiya, right. She gave Kursha a parting nod before turning her way back to Eostre, who thankfully seemed to be coming to. She listened to her explanation, flushed at her compliment; no one complimented her, but bit it back quickly. Another time, Cincil. Bracing some of Eostre's weight against her own, she helped her over to Tamiya. "Aiguma is unconscious," she explained quickly, frowning at the sight of her and Comedi again. It didn't burn any less. "She..." Sarcel's eyes suddenly caught Regina's in the doorway. Hell, she almost forgot about the Empress being here, with how quiet and calm she was in the situation. Sarcel was going to be that collected one day, both externally and internally.

"How are you fairing, E-Eos?" her gaze was slightly concern as she looked back to the injured blueblood she was supporting, but knowing how she fared on the swamp, she'd make it out alright. She was tougher than this. "Stay with Miss Aiguma, I need to give Her Majesty report on the situation." Her tone was serious, though she was... less than willing to part. Her new found confidence seemed to spring eternal, but under the scrutiny of the Queen, it wavered tremendously. She took a deep breath.

Making sure Eostre was stable on her own, she quickly hurried to the queen, pausing only when she saw a familiar yellowblood. Sarcel gave Elidae a reassuring pat on her shoulder. She had caught some of Kursha's conversation with her, but she was mostly relieved to see that she was broken from her shell shock. If she could take a moment to speak and boost this child's morale, by god she would "You've got this." She wondered how Kursha and Elidae knew one another, but it didn't matter in the moment. Hopefully the greenblood would be joining her soon, since Sarcel couldn't stay.

She saluted Regina, a far echo to how she did back in the downstairs room. She was straighter, firmer, forcing her stare not to waver as she regarded the seadweller with utmost respect. "Sarcel Cincil, reporting!" her mind quickly scanned over all the faces she had counted in the room, "Headcount totaled at eleven, your Grace. Mostly children. Eostre and Tamiya are both wounded, the former is able to walk, the latter remains unconscious." A realistic worry crossed her mind then, but she reminded herself, they were strong.

"I would like to return to the evacuation effort, unless there are any demands you need make of me." she did, after all, jump up and grab the reigns before Regina could get a word in. In the same breath, their queen had been quiet up until now; why was that? She surely had her reasons. Her salute dropped, but she still stood at the ready.

Tamiya shifted in and out of consciousness briefly. The wavering ceiling of the hive had a fine pattern that was regrettably amplified in a perplexing display by Tamiya's loss of blood. She was more concerned about burning to death than dying from the shot, but in her state Tamiya couldn't do much more than listen into the words filtering through her spongeclots through her sorry state. A blueblood was giving commands... Puchen? She could have sworn it was... Sarcel...

Tamiya tried to lift her neck but ended up flopping right back down against the ground with a sigh. Gather your bearings first, Aiguma. The ruckus around her only grew, and she dipped back out of reality until a familiar set of very large eyes hovered above her. Sweet deathsage. Was she here to carry her off? Tamiya would have to instruct her how to properly dress the dead later, but... "Aaah...!! AHHH!! ********!" Tamiya groaned. She was being moved gently by the child, but every shift in her position felt like she was leaving behind a seltzer-bottle of blood. Tamiya took quick breaths through her nose and clenched her teeth.

"Kur...sha?" Tamiya winced. She recognized his gaudy udder-person vest as the bloodrag that she now utilized. She would certainly have to bless him later. And young Elidae. At this point the purpleblood had shifted from shock and horror to pain and frustration. She could no longer wait The bullet wound was a full through-shot, and she would need to act fast. With any luck, she had one more shot - and she'd do anything to avoid the flames. The damn flames followed her everywhere. Tamiya spat and reached with a shivering hand into the front of her kimono. She procured the silo of salt that she had swiped from the nutritionblock earlier, which had burst open from the gunshot. The contents were trickling into her fresh wound. She tossed it aside, but sticky fingers ensured a thorough salt spread. No time to waste.

Tamiya took a deep breath and clenched her jaw as hard as she could, her eyes tight shut. She forced the injector under her ribcage and howled through tightly gritted teeth. Sweet salvation felt terrible.

Moments later, Tamiya drew her hands back with a ragged breath. They were glistening purple; she wiped them on her hakama. The wound was beginning to seal, thank the Messiahs. "No need for... Kursha. I'm--" Tamiya coughed and spat out some of the blood she had drawn from biting down on her tongue. "******** dandy. Smells like goddamn smoke. Help me up, sweet...gleepixie. ******** damnit..." Tamiya refused to look at Comedi's body. She cleared her throat, blinked away the visual distortion threatening to steal her consciousness, and waggled her hands for her little yellowblood friend to assist her.

At the sound of Psykgi making contact with the ground, Leeroi whipped around, moving to leap at her assailant. "Don't you ******** touch her!" He warned Kursha, teeth bared and ready to make another mark on the greenblood. As soon as his feet left the ground, he felt a strong pressure around his arm, grounding him. He didn't even look at Psykgi, though he did assume it was her.

Sights locked on Kursha, he struggled under Psykgi's grip, wriggling and pulling at her hands to let him go. He grumbled, glancing between Psykgi and Kursha, eventually giving his attention reluctantly to his moirail. He whined harshly, his physical struggle against her coming to a slow halt.

He watched her face, breathing heavy, pleading with his eyes to be released. The sheer anger in her eyes surprised him, making a hollow sort of pain run through his body. He swallowed his emotions down, and after a quiet moment he finally understood why she was holding him so tightly. As much as Leeroi wanted it to be, now wasn't the time to fight. Apprehensively, he reached out and touched Psykgi's other arm softly. He nodded at her, understanding. Nobody had to get owned... Tonight.

He gripped his papers, glancing up at the queen, who was side-eyeing him. He bit the inside of his lip hard, drawing blood. This whole night had been one big ******** joke. Wordlessly, he held out his papers to her. She could solve things on her own. Leeroi was done playing this game.

Azrael had been completely focused on getting the girls out, fighting with Eridia to keep her moving forward, but he was getting really annoyed. He felt his affection for the purpleblood fraying very quickly as she screeched about Gerard and began rambling, eventually his patience snapped and his hand left Aconan and connected with Eridia's face with a rather brutal slap. " SNAP OUT OF IT!" He shouted at her, " Do you really think that you could do anything in this fire? If Gerard is alive, then he's waiting outside on the lawn ring like someone sensible," He felt his bloodpusher pang as soon as he'd said this. He didn't want to hurt her, but some things needed to be said. " If he's dead, then his charred remains will come up, so stop your whinning and get moving, we don't have time for you to do this, do you understand me?!" He locked his eyes on hers and just stared for a moment before turning away and jerking her forward.

Finally, he saw Hemera and waved to her. " Hey, glad I found you Hemera! We need to get out of here fast! Elidae and the rest are taking care of the wounded, i'll fill you in on what happened when we get to the lawn ring, but this building is burning" he gently grabbed Aconan's hand and guided her towards Hemera. " Can you take Aconan to the front? I think she might shocked from what happened... so be extra careful, I'll be right behind you both, I thought that maybe we could all go together, but Eridia needs my attention, So I'll just meet you there, "
He finally let go of Aconan's hand and gently pat her shoulder, " You're doing good, just a little bit more," He said before letting go of her shoulder and turning his attention back on the distraught Eridia. Whatever was going to happen he was not going to leave her to her own devices.

She startled. Azrael just slapped another troll. So she wasn't the only one with thin nerves. Looking to the side as she heard more commotion, she saw Leeroi try to attack Kursha. Again. Many were at the end of their rope. That meant that more than ever, she had to keep it together. Someone had to, with trolls freezing up or snapping or acting inappropriate left and right. Mera swallowed. Azrael had noticed her...but his sour mood was limited to Eridia alone. Thankfully. Aconan was with him, looking dazed.

The tealblood nodded, silently allowing the lowerblood into her care. "This has been an incredibly trying night for all of us. Few have nerves of steel." Including herself, despite trying to appear otherwise. Mera paused, looking at Eridia. Well, there was worse, it seemed. Then she turned her attention back to Azrael. "If she keeps being a problem, even once we regroup outside, let me know."

With that, she turned to Aconan. "I am going to take your hand now." And she grasped it, hoping her hands weren't too cold. "Now I'm going to help us get out of here. Your lusus is with you, and you're nearly safe. All right?"
