Hana grinned and caught his shoulder, pulling him back and against the wall where she pinned his chest. "Hold up there little puppy." She grinned. "I'm not done with you yet." She shut the door with her foot and continued to stare at him. "You always run away before I get to have any fuuun~" She whined. "So you need to be taught how to deal with what's in front of you. Running away is so boring, you know? You'll never live until you take a little initiative." She smirked. "Besides, we're all friends here, right?~ It's just friendly chat."
When Ruji had left the room, Evelyn looked around and sat up, letting out a long sigh. Last night was strange for her. She hadn't been in a bad mood for so long since being with Ruji. Was last night just too much for her? She didn't know. But what she did know is that the dread still sat in her stomach uncomfortably, and she just knew this wasn't going to be a day where she could deal with people who annoyed her.
Dante was just as unsure. "You know that's what Hikari did in all her time spent at this castle. Rarely was she actually used in any battling, and yet she was always so bright and happy. Kind of reminds me of how Kiiro is actually." He sighed and scratched his head. "I mean I would let you Lilly but.. I don't want to force her into something she might not want to do or be." He grinned. "Also my wife here would have my head letting you do something she didn't approve of."

*Soflora giggled, "actually I remember when shortstraw was teaching us to fight, it was the funest thing ever and it came in handy." She shrugged, "but Donte's right. We shouldn't force or make plans for Asuna just yet, she's only a 2 year old after all." Asuna gave a spitting laugh as if she understood any of it. Lilly frowned, "donte... I'm not Hikari. Cant you see that?" She got up, dumped her full plate out, turned and left. Solfora blinked, "I hope it's not something I said..." She looked to Donte, "im not that intimidating am I?"
Meanwhile Joch gulped, friendly talking? Was friendly talking really what you would call making someone extreamly uncomfortable... for hana it seemed so. He knew it was a bad idea coming in here. Now he had to take the whip, and hana would surly be the only one swinging. As a matter of speech. He tried to counter her words but when he opened his mouth, it only let out a crackle... "..." dealing with a horny girl wasn't really something he felt could be tought to deal with... and man was he in for a hard lession~

Hana snickered. "Don't look so scared." She took her hands away and put them on her hips. "You've stayed around me for years now and you still can't manage a retort?" She smiled, a little softer, less like she was going to eat him. "I'm serious though. I want to help you with this. I guess I don't want you to get into the state you were back at that temple. It was a little hard to see you that way, I'll admit." She pulled a face and took a step away, becoming uncomfortable with how increasingly vulnerable she was appearing. "I've been meaning to talk to you about this actually. Fun and games aside." She looked back to him. "You're different. And I'm trying to figure out what it is that makes you like that. I mean usually I'm so sure. I know what makes me like certain people and I know what makes me hate a lot of people but with you I'm not so sure. Like.. why did I care that you were leaving? Usually I wouldn't." She glared a little. "And don't make any smart comments either or I really will show you how teasing I can be."
Dante sighed and brought his hand to his face. "Damn it." He looked to Soflora with a sigh. "It's not you at all. Don't worry." He looked to where Lilly left. "I have a bad habit of comparing Lilly to Hikari all the time. I mean Hikari was such a big part of my life when I was younger its hard for me not to think of her when I see someone like Lilly who's become equally as important. But Lilly sees it as me saying she's not as good as Hikari or that she's just a replacement Hikari." He put his head against the table. "I'm usually so good with this." He stood up. "I'll go and talk to her, you all right with monkey for a little while?"

Little asuna started to bounce up and down in her chair, "mon mon!" She yelled trying to repeat what donte called her. Soflora nodded, "I guess I can for alittle while longer... just... be gental with lilly okay. She's been seeming alittle off for a while now, I just didn't know why." Lilly however was inside her room, the one place she would not let anyone in for some odd reason. She was looking at a photo in a frame she had, "you didn't see me as usful either." She place a picture of yuji down and gave a sad shie. Her mother gave birth to her to be the Holly Warrior the king would need, but the two kings she's been with only wanted her to be a maid. She was a fighter, a warrior of the holy grail winners doughter.
Meanwhile Joch folded his kness up to his chest sadly, the entire moment changing to sadistic like he was when he almost left. "... I knew you wanted more of me." He said it in a way that it showed that her asking to teach him something to change him stung a bit. Change could be good he got that, but... "I... I don't know either hana. I'm trying to change at my own pace... I stayed in one place for two years. I put up with a kid. I... I stayed for a girl." He put his head down on his knees and went silent. Poor guy, hana was showing her soft side, but his was squishy that it looked like anyone could just sqosh him right now.

Hana frowned a little more and understood suddenly that not only was she being vulnerable, but so was he. She knelt to his level right in front of him and smiled. It was just the situation they were in not half an hour before. But this was much softer, and Hana tried her best not to make him uncomfortable. "And I'm happy you did." She looked at him gently. "I'm sorry if it seems I was pushing you just then. I was just worried, okay? I am.. protective of the people I care most about. You looked so distressed all I wanted to do was find a way to make you feel better. Maybe I can be a little too practical about these things." She smiled more. "From what I've seen of you so far I'm pretty impressed. Not many people can handle this crazy ******** family and yet you still stayed. We are probably the most high maintenance in all the Yokai lands and yet you're still here. Still dealing with it. I know how hard it is to stop moving when you're so used to it. I stopped travelling with my friends so that I could find my family and settle down again, and look what I ended up with." She chuckled. "So keep your head up, okay?" She quickly leaned to kiss him on the cheek again.
Dante smiled and nodded. "I know. I'll try and be as gentle as possible." He gave Soflora and his daughter a quick kiss before he left the kitchen to go and knock on Lilly's door. "Lilly? It's me, Dante. Can I speak to you a sec?"

Joch looked to hana with a look that showed she really was reaching deep in him. But it also hurt. "I... I don't want to be just a burden to you... I..." he looked down in thought to finish his sentince, "I need to learn how to deal with stuff. And I know your trying to help... without your pushing I wouldn't still be here today... I just... sometimes it's harder then others and instinct kicks in... and..." he shook his head, "I don't like being like this. The sad one in the group holding everyone back."
Lilly answered from the door, "NO!" she replied strongly not really wanted to go into a long mushy talk with Donte. She didn't need that, it would probably be more like a fight anyways, and she liked donte, so she wouldn't wanna fight him. It would just be wrong.

Hana put a gentle hand on his cheek with a small smile. "Who said you're being a burden to anybody?" She chuckled. "If you weren't here I probably wouldn't have the strength to stay around Silvea all the time. For.. personal reasons. But your presence is incredibly reassuring for me, you know. Don't be ashamed of the person you are, because you're the only person you have to deal with all your life. I'll be here to help you and push you, but there's no need to worry about being sad. A lot of people are sad more than they look on the outside. It's easy for me to tell more than most people. For example take Veira, she's constantly sad about her daughter hating her despite her confident appearance. Dante worries about being a good father. Evelyn worries that she's not a good enough person to teach Ruji. Lilly is sad that she is not being used to her full potential. Hey, believe it or not even I get sad about things sometimes. As hard to believe as that is." She put her chin on his knees with a smile. "Go at your own pace, everyone else is."
Dante sighed and put his forehead against the door. "Lilly.. we're both adults here. If you're not going to let me in then I'll just tell you here." He cleared his throat. "I'm sorry for what I said back there. Often I get so caught in the memory of Hikari I forget that you are a completely different amazing woman that I admire with all my heart." He turned and put his back against the door. "I'm surrounded by many amazing women in this house and it can get a little claustrophobic sometimes. But I realise now that all you want to do is fulfill your purpose here, and I'm not letting you do that. And honestly Lilly.. its because I'm afraid you'll leave again once you feel like you've finished here." He shut his eyes. "You left before, and it scares me that it could happen again. Because I value you so much. And you're worth so much more than I give you." He stood up from the door again. "I just wanted to apologise. I will talk over with Soflora about you teaching my daughter. Because there's no one else I would trust with her than you." He nodded and picked himself up to leave.

He looked to her with almost wide eyes, a bit of a glimmer in them. She was right, and right now... well this was a hana he didn't know, but kinda liked. He looked to her trying to search for words, "... it's good to have someone to pick me up when I fall..." He nodded and look down, "I just... don't want you or siliva to put faith in me, incase I let you down. Cuse I'm afrade I will let you all down. It's not just... about change anymore. Your right though about the other thing... t... th... thanks." He tried to smile, it didn't work, but he tried. "Bet if Slivia seen me this bad she would want to kick me in the face..." this made him chuckle alittle. But as she was on his knees he decided to finally take a chance, and he went to give his first kiss, on hana's cheek, she was right there, and she touched the little joch inside. But he barly made a kiss as he wanted before he pulled back embariced already of his action. "..."
Meanwhile lilly looked at the door, unsure wether or not she really wanted to speak. She wanted to accept the words he said, but at the same time she was almost in disbeilif after he said, "you are a completely different amazing woman that I admire." She never seen anything admireable about her to him really. THe part about leaving, well he left her behind for years! And she left when he was a kid, a small kid, it wasn't like he really needed her back then either... hikari was still around. She shied, who was she kidding. She was so rusty on the Holy Warrior training she was tought when a little girl, who was to say she could do it anymore now. She didn't keep up on it really anymore. Hadn't had a fight since the ealyer wars. As donte was walking down the hall, Lilly opened up the door just enough to speak in a low tone, "you know I wouldn't leave you... I did back then because you didn't need me at the time, no one did. Ameile pushed me away, and I left, expechally after I thought yuji was gone forever and... all that mess. That has nothing to do with now though. You know that." She closed the door and leaned on it form the inside with her head down, "do you even know... what my position is even truly suppost to be Donte?"

Hana suddenly smiled more as he seemed embarrassed. "And don't be afraid to take risks. Sometimes they leave you in the best of places." Hana was suddenly bold and gave him another kiss of his own, properly but gently on the lips. As she pulled back she grinned a little. "And don't worry about letting me down. My whole life is a let down." She giggled and stood up. "That was... strange. I'm not used to making people feel better like that. And that kiss was something more than the previous ones I've experienced." Her face suddenly lit up. "That's it!" She looked back to him again. "That's it, isn't it? You're someone I care about as much as Eve! That's why I'm so comfortable about teasing you all the time and making jokes. And why I try my best to try to make you feel better and go out of my way to make you stay here. I don't want you to leave because then I would be lonely here." She looked away with a puzzled stare. "Does that make sense?"
Dante turned and saw Lilly's door shut again, but walked back up to it anyway. "You're a holy warrior. And definitely not a housemaid." He smiled faintly. "I'm sorry for bringing you leaving into this, but you missed the point. I was a child then, it might not have been as important to me then as it is now." He sighed and leaned on the door. "I would be devastated if you left, Lilly."

*Lilly have a long shie and shook her head, even if he couldn't see it. There was a thum where she lifted her head back till it hit the door. "Donte... I wasn't brought into this world just to be a holy warrior. My life was planned before I got here, and I'm bound to it. It's not nessarly a bad thing, but at the same time it is when know one remembers the reason your even here." There was a pulse, "I'm here to serve the sons of Yokai. The true ones Donte. I am suppost to live through all this famlys bloodlines, and assit, protect and fight for each leading member of the family, through each generation. It started with Yuji himself. Then I was handed to you. Later down the road, you will be handing me to your doughter, or another if you have any more. And then I'll by there for their childrens children. Do you understand? I'm... like a demon under a pact. But as a Holy Warrior, thus not a demon like, but the others side of the coin. I'm the light that is suppost to help..." she shied, "nevermind. Don't get me wrong, I like to cook. Not so much cleaning, but I don't mind it. I just want to be more involed like I'm suppost to. Not replaced by Alice or Cresent. I'm suppost to be at your side, and It's where I want to be." She went silent again.
Meanwhile Joch was red faced and stared up at her in... awww? well it was kinda like an aww moment, but not really as you would expect it. More like, "did you just say that outload to me!" ((he did say it here outloud this is not just an example)) He blinked, "... you really... why? I thought this whole time I was just a..." He tooka deep breath and went to stand, "Hana... I... like you too. I mean it's why I stay here, k... kinda. I mean... you said I can have a family here... the only down side is all the scary stuff that does, or can happen..." He gulped and stared at the floor.
Eve chuckled outside the door as she and siliva passed it, "I told you~" She replied as they went down the stairs and headed out. Siliva didn't know what her mom ment, but she went with it happily.

Hana grinned as she looked back to him, taking his hands quickly. "Don't you see? All that stuff doesn't matter when you have someone you care about. You know they'll be there to make you feel better when you're down. And there's confidence in knowing they won't leave you even during the scary times." She frowned slightly. "This is strange." She took her hands away and walked to the side, bringing one hand to her chin in thought. "This is really strange." She seemed baffled over the fact that she was capable of having these kinds of feelings. She was always so sure that she'd be cold hearted for everyone other than Eve and children that looked up to her with big round eyes. She frowned more and looked into the corner of the room. "And for a virgin human, too.." She scratched her head. "That is new." She looked back to him. "Why would you think I'd be any other way about this anyway? I've never been the most subtle of people."
Dante's eyes thinned slightly as he stared at the door, then found himself without words for a few moments. "Then.. Then you're being kept here. By this pact?" He looked away with a stern expression, consuming all of the information. "Father.. he never told me this." He shut his eyes. "I see, then." He looked towards the door again with a neutral expression. "If that's what you really want, then you're going to have to step up. Crescent is my left and right hand. Not much happens to me without her knowing about it first. Alice is my shield and accompanies me to every battle no matter the odds, I will find no more loyal soldier than her. These people did not take your place, because they earned their places. How will you earn yours?" He spoke more seriously now, like an adult. His practicality came into everything he did, especially with the other kingdoms. Despite his warm and welcoming appearance, he was stern when it came to his job and how seriously he took it, and measured the people under him down to the T. Which was why they'd never lost a battle. Not once.

*lilly just gave a shie. So there was a position open still huh. That's not what Cresent told her. Cresent seemingly didn't like lilly at all. And it was odd, because lilly had a big heart. She spoke lowly, "I've been with you your hole life donte. I fought battles for you when you needed it. I've helped you through rought times, even gave you advice. Doesn't any of that mean anything? I kept trying to step up!" She was almost in a angry yell now, "You just keep pushing me away! That's how I became the ******** maid!" Lilly... NEVER cursed. Never. So for her to do so, ment she was breaking down on the other side of that door. She didn't want he talk with donte to be anything like this. But for him to say she needed to step up to be by his side, that hurt. Because she was by his side, the whole life, and he seemed to never have noticed it. She moved from the door now in anger, and there wasn't another word from her.
Joch blinked at her, "... your always scaring people. Drinking, messing around with sexral stuff... a brute. Sure your good with kids, I get that. Seen it, but... this is really deep. It's... alittle confusing. I knew you had a soft side, but... not so soft your..." he shrugged, red faced, "desirable like this..." He shook his head, "or why your talking to yourself in the middle of this... really acword talk thing..." he scratched the back of his neck, "are family's... usally like this? Like we are now?" He liked Hana, and now it was showing a bit, but they way she was acting towords it was... oddning. Like she was thinking outlaud and couldn't control herself from doing so. "Your... also a princess..." he added, "sure titles don't mean anything really but... class wise..." He shrugged, "this vergn you talk about, is only a peasent. I'm worse then the story I head shortstraw talk about." BOOM there it was, information that he had been secrately getting advice from shortstraw while he was here.

Dante sighed, a little sadly, but continued to stare at the door. "It's not enough, Lilly. You became the maid because you let yourself be pushed down by me. Crescent isn't afraid to speak up to me, tell me what I'm doing wrong. But you just let it happen. And I need people with more initiative to be in my inner circle. I just haven't seen that with you. You're not enough if you think all it takes to become a warrior by my side is to have known me all my life and given me advice. That's the actions of a friend, not a warrior. And saying that you're entitled to such a place because of your heritage does not improve your case. And I'm just being completely honest with you here now Lilly. I'm not saying this to make you upset. But I'm not going to just take you under my wing if this is how you're going to act." He turned, staying cool headed as he always did, and just walked away. Knowing that when he got a reaction or if he got a reaction at all, it would have just been more shouting at him. And he hated being stern.
Hana snickered and walked back over to him, poking his chest. "Ohh.. so that's what you do in your spare time when you're not ogling me then eh? You're asking advice from another human that managed to score a powerful princess." She smirked. "That's almost cute." She sighed and flicked her wrist. "Saying my thoughts helps me make it real rather than it just getting messed up in my head. I always know what I'm doing, and I'm always so sure of myself, haven't you noticed?" She looked to him through one eye. "And since when do you worry about the class system, mr I'll-walk-into-a-party-of-insanely-powerful-yokai-and-humans-and-eat-all-of-the-buffet."

Joch blinked yet again. Huh, he didn't think of that point in time in that way. "I didn't... think of it that way... I like history... well kinda... more like site seeing what I've never seen before." He made a face, " then blushed and looked down, "... depends if it's working..." She had him twice there. The trying to score a princess thing, and the buffet event. Though... the buffet event was a accident, he didn't really think about it the way she just described. Infact, it sorta sounded like the bravest thing he ever had done, and yet he never planed it.

Hana giggled and poked his chest again. "I know. Remember the first time I took you to this castle? I still don't know what compelled me to drag you around that day. And here you are a couple of years later, still stalking me." She winked and pinched his cheeks. "I don't think I've ever seen you blush this much before. It's so innocent and cute. You're so pure it's so weird." She snickered suddenly. "We'll have to change that soon, won't we?" She suddenly looked away in thought, remembering something. "You stayed for me! That's so adorable!" She snickered, looking back to him. "Kind of sickly sweet, I'm not sure I'm about that. But it's nice. Makes me just wanna smother you."
