The next pool of water she drank from made her heart pound rapidly. Gzifa summoned her dagger and looked around her wildly. She recognised this sensation - it was Fear.
Fear was always present whenever she went into battle, oh but did it make her stronger.
Shadows crept upon the walls of the room, but the horsewoman broke into a devilish grin and relished in the thrilling sensation of Fear. She'd smite whatever that came for her.

One more pool remained. The horsewoman crept up and scooped up mouthful of water to her lips. Ah, she could hear those voices again.
Gzifa whirled around, slashing the air around her wildly. She had not seen battle in a while but boy was she thirsting for it now.
Where were the prey?
The door opened, showing her the way forward. Gzifa let out a shrill cry, and flew straight through the doorway.

[Pool of Insanity] x2
Shu had no idea she kept drinking form the same pool, maybe she already lose her mind. Each sip she took was like a slow poison. She could still hear the voices. People were accusing her as a curse, blaming her for the things happened. "You are a murderer." The other Shu whispered and giggled evilly. "Aren't you smiling when their bloods slowly dripped down onto you?" She chuckled at a distance, wearing a white floaty dress, bare feet, hands put behind but leaned the upper body forwards. "No....that's wrong...I didn't! I didn't! Stop it! STOP!" The girl covered her ears and yelled, that wasn't herself, she didn't think that way, never.
She curled up into a ball on the ground, but the light giggles were still around.

This place was a place much more suited to Mengyao's likes, especially considering the ornate, palace-like exterior. It was, of course, not entirely nice, considering the circumstances, but it was far better than the place he had been before.
Mengyao made his way to the first pool and took a sip - a sip he severely regretted the moment it touched his lips, his heart beginning to pound, his palms beginning to sweat.
He hastily stepped backwards, eyes wide.

He stumbled a short distance away, trying to breathe properly, and pressed a hand to his chest.
Mengyao felt lightheaded, but moved to the next pool as it was, his thoughts a tangled mess.

"I CAN'T! I CAN'T!" The petite traumatized girl shook her head, reluctant to do what Z asked her to do. "I can't.....I am afraid...I don't-I can't bear more....please Z..." The eyes were soaked in tears. There was no mercy, not a second chance was given. The sad girl dragged herself to the nearest pool and took the poison down her throat again.
The moment she gulped, the drowsiness caught her off guard.
Everything was mildly swinging in her vision, and she felt her head becoming heavier as it swayed in all directions slowly and randomly. "W-Why....I feel so sleepy?" It was a question out of panic. As the fear still worked on her, she couldn't think normally. Instead, she was so afraid to have her eyes closed. There was a fear that she won't be able to open her eyes again once she let them close. She didn't want to say goodbye yet, she still had something to do before she can rest forever.
"I can't die! I can't die here!" No mater how hard she tried, the girl lost her consciousness eventually. Everything was muffled, Z's voice and her yelling.
She was a little girl that running away from all sorts of monsters clawing and mocking her. Shu was just too small compared to the things that were chasing her. Even though she was panting, she couldn't bear the consequences of stopping. They were clawing at her, tried to catch her and tore her clothes, leaving a scratch on her shoulder. She knew what would happen if they caught her, they will tear her into pieces, before that, they would leave so many scars on her body, torturing her. Nope. She didn't want that, wake up, Shu! Wake up! Yet, she was still running......
She kept sobered and then fell into the nightmare again, the boundary of the reality and dream was mixing up, her limit was being tested.
She screeched, she yelled, she screamed between dream and reality.

Maybe if he slowed down walking he'd be able to sort through his thoughts, which felt confusing and disorienting all at once.

Maybe it was because they had all drank from four pools, or that the water was simply wearing off, or perhaps it was due to Ignatius's surprise nose-booping, but it wasn't long before Brenley realized that there were no knives jutting out of the boil and everyone was mostly okay. Even though his heart still raced, his head still spun, and everything was more colorful than it should have been, at least no one was dead.
"Hey!" he said, his voice cracking on the word. The sorcerer rubbed his nose with a hand he hadn't quite grown into yet, lowering his head to hide his cheeks as they flushed. "You're not sexy, you're... gross." Super mature.
"Piper?" he said, clearing his voice carefully. "We're in here!"

Why can't she just either wake up or fall asleep completely? That was driving the poor girl crazy, even worse than those sleepless nights. She sat down, knees locked with her arms, shaking. She woke up screaming and then fell asleep again, and the vicious cycle repeated.
"Someone....someone brings me home...I don't want stay here, it's so scary." The girl burst into tear.
"No!"
"No! Why you have to force me! You're so bad Z!" The girl stared at her pendant and cried. "No! I won't do this again! No!" She covered her ears as if that can block Z's voice.
The voice was stricter and more forceful this time.
The girl sobbed and took a sip... It was too late, the fear already hosted in her intensified. With a short scream, she fell asleep again, embracing by the same nightmare.

He slept.
He wasn't sure for how long, or when he'd even fallen asleep, but he did at least understand that his dreams were more like crazed, colorful nightmares filled with chaos and madness and confusion.
When he woke up, he felt dazed, unsteady on his feet - and strangely taller.

Run, run, run faster, she can't be caught.
"Aha....ha.a...a..ha..." She panted and her legs became numb, but she couldn't stop. The though of being caught was strong enough to support her to continue, it was just too much to lose. "Aha.....ha.....a....ha....ha...." Why she didn't wake up yet? She would quickly drink from the fourth pool and leave this place, find Mimsy, Robert, Mimi, waifu or - simply whoever she knew. The shadows behind her crept at the speed of the light, as if some nimble snake, she dodged but fell down, buried by the monsters.
"AhaaaaaAAAhhhhaaaaaaaaaAAAaaaaaaaH!" She found herself screaming at the room, her voice echoed and she sweated.
"Just one more...and I can go home." The girl hugged herself to give her energy to move.

Closing her eyes to face any horrible effect that it might bring, the girl drank from the final pool. Still overwhelmed by fear and drowsiness, but nothing new. Z drew her attention. In the water was a young girl with a more childish face and a shocked look, she was skinny without many curves. "Ahhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa!" She screeched again, feared of what happened. It might be just a minor status effect, but to the traumatized girl, a small change was enough to knock her down. As the younger girl screamed and ran in an direction, the door that she was dashing towards was unlocked and the girl was set free.

Piper was still and wide-eyed when they came into the room. They were still recognizeable, sure, but also different: Brenley was nerdier somehow and Ignatius was . . . wh-what was even . . .
"I-I don't date older men," she huffed, feeling this was important to clarify. But between the lingering need to sit down, the tension in her chest that said something was going to happen, and the odd spirals of thought that kept going through her in oscillating intervals, it was clear that yet again Piper was not okay by the time they had found her. She hated making this a habit.
"I wanna go home," she sniffled, actually looking on the verge of tears. "This place is awful and I want good food and a blanket that doesn't snarl and bite me and I need to fix my haiiiiiiiir."

Both the younger Brenley and the younger Piper seemed to be uninterested in hearing how awesome he looked. More awesomeness for him, then. While Piper was huffing, Ignatius admired his muscles, flexing for a moment or two before letting his arms actually fall to his sides.
He was surprised to hear Piper declare so loudly that she wanted to go home. Why would she want to go home?! This room was awesome, with the floating weirdness around his eyes and the colorful pools of water and how great it made him look -- okay, perhaps he just thought that he looked awesome and he wanted to continue to look awesome, but that was beside the point.
Still, despite that, he offered a pat on the back to Piper.
"I'm sure we'll go back to the world of normal soon," declared Ignatius, with a sage nod.

Ying continued to grow more beautiful with each sip. Older and wiser and beautiful. She just wanted out of this crazy nightmare.
