Battling? Well, Amrita had seen her fair share of them. Then again, she had never participated in a battle under these circumstances. Usually they were life-or-death, kill or be killed...never for a 'friendly' competition between the dorms, for points.
The Patchwork inhaled a useless breath and held it, darting forward to throw a punch at the creature.

The Mob swung it's scythe at her and she scampered back, the blade slicing lightly against her arm. When the patchwork moved forward again it was to attack the unprotected back of the nearest creature, bringing both hands down to club the Mob.

Which apparently didn't sit very well with her, because once she was back on her feet she was in a crouch, her hand poised into a crude point. In a move Hel would know very well, Amrita launched herself upward and forwards, sending her hand right through the middle of her opponent.
It crumpled to the ground at her feet, and Amrita frowned, checking her score as she wiped her hand off on her pants.

Well, it wasn't bad...but she knew she could do better, and that was the annoying part.
When Amrita left the battle grounds, she was in silence...and it was likely to go and find a certain Student Council President, to force encourage him to give this battle thing a shot.

Staring at her shadow in dismay, Emily decided to it attack it rather than one of the others. She didn't want anybody coming to harm because of something that came from her! Unfortunately the shadowy reaper mascot had the same idea and struck at her first.
"M...MONTY REVOLVER!" At his summons, the familiar appeared in the form of two furry revolvers, covered in his signature markings. It went about as well as could be expected.

Frustrated and angry as the shadow countered her miss with another stinging strike, Emily shouted again, "Monty Cannon!" The familiar let out an irate yowl as he was forced into the shape of a large cannon.
This also went about as well as could be expected.

Covered in her own blood, Emily felt tears begin to p***k her eyes. She'd been doing so well up until now. So wonderfully mediocre but passing. She finally connected an attack, but it barely made an impact.

A depressing gloom seemed to hang over the witch as she began to wallow in self loathing. Everybody was watching, and this is how well she does. Eyes growing wide, she struck at the shadow again, swinging Monty around like a bludgeon.
