Kierans frantic flailing and screaming finally dislodges the demon spider.

As Kieran enters the ruins, he first takes notice of the destroyed buildings. There is extensive fire damage and much of the remains will have to be cleared in order to rebuild completely. The cost will be great and the small village will likely take a long time rebuilding with its available manpower and wealth. The village has lost everything; there will not be anything of aid to find. Kieran also sees a few people pacing around, conducting investigations of their own. In the middle, an old man stands, looking about, almost regally.  "...Hm? Oh, hello there. Forgive me, you started me, but I can see from your eyes that you're a normal person. ...Quite the damage, isn't it? It's quite tragic having one's home destroyed... Thankfully, we of this village have a passage through the forest. We managed to hide in there during the attack. Some people are missing, but at least, right now, it doesn't look as if there's been any loss of life. That is the most important thing, after all..."
