Texas grinned and shook his head. "Don't worry Mirai, I'm not going anywhere," he told her confidently. "We're partners remember? Besides, if I die who will kill all the spiders for you? Can't leave that job to anyone else!"

Texas nodded. "Yeah, and don't you forget it!" He told her, still grinning. "Now that I know I'm not destined to die, I'm gonna make sure it stays that way. Don't worry Mirai; I'll have your back. I promise."

Texas nodded. "Right," he agreed. "The demon/witch super-perfect-body-awesome-chick and Texas the flamethrower-sword-burning-fighter of death!"

"I think you're mistaken!" He told her with a grin as he pointed at her from where he sat. "You're well on your way to a perfect body so it's pretty obvious that that's what he meant!" He nodded at her next statement. "Exactly." He stopped to think when she talked about what he would look like in the future. "Well...I imagine I would look umm....ruggedly handsome. Yeah!" He said, allowing his imagination to work as he rubbed his chin with one hand. "And umm.....I'd have even bigger muscles than I have now!" He flexed his other arm and looked down at it with a grin. It was true that Texas was in good shape; he had been genetically bred to have increased physical strength and stamina along with his large amount of resonance force. The geneticists at The Machinist Order had done their best to cover every base they could. "And my voice will be deeper and I'll be known world wide as the first flamethrower Death Scythe!" He paused in his reverie to look back at Mirai. "And we'll still be an awesome team!" He added.

"For sure!" Replied Texas with a grin. Several of his female classmates had actually shown interest in him over the past year, though ironically he had remained completely oblivious to their flirtations. He noticed her blush. "What's so embarrassing?" He asked mischievously.

Texas grinned and shook his head. "I would NEVER do that while they were here," he replied. "But yeah. That's what I would look like in the future."

"Owww!," said Texas, grabbing his head. "No fair! I can't do that mind thing!" He let go of his head when he heard her talk about how she wasn't in a relationship. "Well, I was dead so I was a bit worse off than you!" He explained. "Besides, my future changed. Yours can too. And who knows? Maybe your body is so perfect guys are afraid to come up and ask you out?"
