~~ Shadow walked over to one of the control panels. He blinked. "That's odd...all the security seems to be off already...I was sure Metal would've turned it back on.." murmured the hedgehog mutant, crimson eyes scanning the switches and buttons around...
"Even odder, all of the weapons and such are on...it's like they were hacked..."

Tails came to a dead stop, staring at the computer in his hand. Cream halted as well, looking back at him. "What's wrong, Tails? What do you see?"
"Hold on...if I just adjust the circulations and magnify the veiw...meaning zoom in..." Tails messed with the knobs and buttons on his device. "Is that....Shadow?"
Cream's eyes widened. "Uncle Shadow came back?!" She asked, gasping.
(No idea..O_o And was it as bad as this? There's also a comic where...erm...Amy's depressed that Sonic won't love her, so Shadow asks her why she chases Sonic. She mistakes that as Shadow wants to be her boyfriend, so she kisses him. Next panel, Shadow's like, "WTF?" while Amy's reaching for the zipper on the back of her dress...so..yeah...) ~~

Zach frowned. "Would it be a trick?" he murmured. Then he shook his head. It didn't seem like it. He looked at a few of the controls. "Odd," he muttered.
Desiree raised an eyebrow. Obviously, she wasn't tech oriented. "I don't see anything out of the ordinary," she mumbled to herself.
(Somewhat. Except the image I saw was MUCH more explicit...And I saw that comic. O.O But what I saw was a bit more disturbing.)

~~ (Ah. O_o Omfg, have you ever seen that one picture of Rouge standing over Shadow with a giant butcher knife in her hands? It's frickin' hilarious XD)
"What's he doing back here?" Tails blinked.
"Maybe he came to rescue us?" Cream asked, tilting her head to the side, "Should we contact him and tell him we're fine?"
"We might as well risk it..." Tails said, flipping a switch on the device, and spoke. "Shadow! Shadow, can you hear me?"

Shadow heard a staticky voice, which he traced to a speaker on one of the control panels. "Tails? Is that you?"
"Uh-huh! Li-zen," said the fox's voice, sort of broken up by the awful connection, "Cree-am an-nd I are sa-afe."
"How can we be sure that you're really who you say you are, and aren't just Metal changing his voice?"
"Sh-adow! It's uh-us!" called Cream.
Shadow covered his ears. "Ack....yeah....NO vantriliquist can make their voice that high..." ~~

Desiree jumped as a crackly voice was heard behind her. She turned around and scowled at the panel. "Stupid kids," she muttered, crossing her arms.
Zach gave a surprised look. "Kid knows his stuff," he said, impressed. "Where are they?" he asked, casting a cautious glance around. Didn't want anyone unneccessary to appear and cause problems.

"The ah-air veh-ent whih-ich leads froh-om our ceh-ell."
"What about Rouge?" demanded Shadow, who, while remaining emotionless, was clearly anxious to hear about the bat's condition.
A pause. Shadow could imagine the two glancing at one another.
"Weh-ell...Metal wah-sn't exactly hah-p-ie, when you eh-scaped..."
"No duh?" mumbled Shadow.
"An-nd...He wanted to kill Roo-je..but...due to thih-is bad coh-neck-shun, I'll just hah-ck into the cah-mm-rah files an-nd....theh-ere." On a nearby monitor, an image appeared on the screen. It was of the training room, where only Tails Doll, Rouge, and Tails and Cream were.
"Another movie...wonderful.." commented Shadow.
(Hey! Shadow took my line! XD)
Rouge was standing next to the kids' spherical prison, thinking. "I'll get you guys out....somehow..."
Metal walked in, looking pissed as hell. He glanced around. Seeing Rouge, the mech walked over to her and spun her around. She barely had time to widen her eyes before a black-gloved hand grasped her throat and lifted her into the air.
"H-hey!" Rouge tried to pry Metal's fingers off.
"If I can't kill that tiger mutant..."
"Aa-aah!" cried Rouge as his grip tightened.
"I'll just have to settle for a meddling bat-girl." He raised his free hand, closing it into a fist and pulling it back.
Doll sighed, pulling up his hood. "Release her, Metal."
Metal glared at his comrad. "What?"
"You heard me. Release her."
Growling, Metal did as he was told, lowering both arms. Rouge fell to the ground, landing on her knees. She coughed, rubbing her neck. ~~

Zach nodded to himself. As the screen turned on he looked at that, once more impressed on Tails' hacking skills. "I could learn a thing or two from him," he mumbled to himself. This video seemed to be more informant to Shadow then it would be to him.
Desiree cast a glance at the screen. She gave a quiet grunt. "Damn. He does look just like you Shadow," she said. "But I think he's a bit more tempermental." She narrowed her eyes at the scene. "What an a**," she sniffed.

Shadow watched the scene intently, as if it really were a movie. He knew for a fact that Doll wouldn't be able to keep Metal back long...especially when the mech was this pissed off.
"So what do we do now, genius?" growled Metal, turning to Doll.
"Obviously, we re-imprison the kids, and think of another way to get back at our elusive friend." replied the odd being, putting his hands together as if praying.
"And what about the bat-girl?" Metal glared over his shoulder at Rouge, who glared back.
"Hm...That's a good question." Doll tilted his head to the side, watching Rouge curiously with the sense of a small child. A creepy small child, to be exact. After a moment, he replied. "Do what you wish. However, do not kill her, or do any permanent damage."
Metal hesitated, then nodded.
Whatever he was thinking, Doll clearly knew. "That counts as permanent damage."
"Dammit.." The mech pondered for a few seconds or so, then turned to Rouge and grabbed her wrist, pulling her to her feet.
"Lemme go, you b*****d!" she hissed, baring fangs.
Ignoring that comment, he threw the bat over his shoulder and walked out.
Doll shook his head, then the screen flickered off.
Shadow's mind was racing. "So, what did Metal do with Rouge?"
"That, I doh-on't kn-oh. From what I can gah-ther, he ee-ther disk-oh-neck-ted theh-m, or the room he ehn-te-terred has no cah-mm-er-ah's in it."
"Well, that's helpful..." ~~

(Ugh. Sorry it's been a while. School's been kicking my a** lately. >:[ )
Zack cast another cautious look around. "Jeez, they will not be happy to see you again," he muttered, glancing at Shadow.
Desiree stared at Shadow. "So I'm guessing your plan will now change to: find where they're keeping Rouge?" she asked. She put her hands on her hips. "And there'll probably be more, won't there?"
Zach cast a weary look at his sister. "No s**t?" he mumbled, rolling his eyes.

"No..." Shadow looked at Desiree. "My plan is to find Metal and kick his sorry a**."
Tails sighed. "Well, just be careful, all right? Hey...did the connection suddenly get incredibly better?"
"Yes...yes it did..." Shadow was quiet a moment, thinking...The Ultimate Lifeform suddenly tensed up. "Tails, Cream, cut the transmission."
"Wha--?"
"CUT THE TRANSMISSION!"
No reply. Shadow sighed with relief, knowing that Tails had did as he was told.

"Tails, why did Uncle Shadow sound so worried?" asked Cream, frowning.
"I don't know...but I guess he knew something.." ~~

Zach tensed as Shadow did. He rocked on his heel a bit.
Desiree blinked and looked at Shadow, surprised. "What's the matter?" she asked. She looked around. "Do they know we're here?" she asked.
Zach looked at Shadow once more. "Were they just connected to our conversation?" he asked. They must have found a way to fix it, he thought.

~~ (And now here is the third coming of my huge posts...RUUUUUN DX Oh wait...they've been here...)
Shadow nodded. "I could care less if they knew we were here, but they could've tracked the transmission back to the air vents, where Cream and Tails are." He explained, relaxing somewhat but still on his guard.
The hedgehog mutant walked over to one of the monitors and switched it on. He began typing away at the keyboard underneath.
"If I can just find out how much they heard..." murmured the Ultimate Lifeform, glancing up at the screen every now and then. He adjusted the radio waves. "Almost got it...Both of you stay quiet."
Shadow paused in his actions, then slowly resumed them. After a moment, Doll's voice became audible. First faint, and then loud enough that he could've been in the same room.
"...what took you so long to reply?"
"Sorry. Bat-b***h regained consciousness."
Shadow's heart, which he just now noticed had been rapidly beating, relaxed slightly upon hearing the term "Bat-b***h." That could only be Rouge. Which meant she was alive. ~~

(I swear I'm holding a gun to my head... -.-)
Zach and Desiree both remained quiet upon hearing Shadow's request. They too, wanted to know what had just happened. And if Tails' and Cream's location was safe.
Desiree twisted a strand of her hair around her finger, listening.
Zach zoned out with a hand on his chin, thinking about the best way to interpret things and the best ways to locate escapes or other routes. Things that could come in handy later if they needed to.

"Anyway...what do you want? If you haven't fixed that communication system yet--"
"I have. Seems our little fox friend did hack it, after all."
"Hmph. Did that counterpart of mine show his face yet to come rescue her?"
"Considering the security has not gone off, even after I switched every power source back online, I would say not...."
Shadow glanced around as the entire control room began flashing red from the alarms.
".....check that. I would say yes."
"Heh. I'll be sure to give him a warm welcome...so to speak..." A click.
Shadow turned off the speaker and spun around. "On your guard." ~~

(I've had so many finals and exams that my head hurts! I'm about to explooooode! D: )
Both Zach and Desiree instantly tensed.
Zach flexed his fingers and looked at Shadow. "Will we find them or will they find us?" he asked.
Desiree sighed and rubbed her temples. "The alarms are annoying," she muttered. Though, since they annoyed her she'd be a little more agressive.

"They'll find us first. To be exact, security drones will find us."
Right on cue, a tall, agile-looking green robot dropped down behind them. It had a blade-like attatchment to it's wrist, and odd devices on either side of it's head that resembled rabbit ears of sorts.
"Intruders to be eliminated." said the drone in a mechanical voice. ~~
