After heating the vial, Meiko walks to the professor and asks as she presents her vial calmly. "Professor, after getting it from the freezer and re-heating it, what now?"

Ammy sighed in relief. Her vial was finally a liquid again. Leaning over and cupping her hand behind the flame, she blew it out, not wanting to get water all over the place. Turning to Ninna, she smiled, "Now we get to see if it's right or not." She set it down on her desk, as the glass was slightly warm to the touch, then looked up, wondering what the answer to Meiko's question would be. She didn't see the sense in asking the same question twice.

Lena
The lesson hadn’t yet begun so Lena took the book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them from her bag and began to read, waiting for the lesson to commence.

Ayamae smiled at Meiko. "Now you add a quick dash of powdered snakeskin, stir it in, and you're finished." Ayamae pulled out a leather pouch full of finely ground powder and set it on her desk. "Just a teaspoon full should do it."

After telling Ninna she'd be right back, Ammy rose, walking over to the desk with her own vial. She glanced at Meiko, and stood slightly out of the way, in order to watch her fellow Ravenclaw do it properly. In any case, it was fair, as the older girl had finished and questioned first.

Liviana stepped into the classroom a bit late, but it was better than being absent as she had for a while. She realized she hadn't missed much anyways, as the rest of the class was defrosting the calming solutions from the other day. She took hers out of the professor's freezer, and began the painfully slow process of letting it return back to its liquid form. Liviana knew this particular solution would not come out right as she did not have fresh ingredients, but Professor Akahana had never had a problem with her. Maybe she would be lenient? Liviana absentmindedly ran her fingers through her hair, which was still blue from Transfiguration class.

Meiko gave her professor a quick nod as she levitated her teaspoon over to her from her desk. She gets some and drops it in her vial as she was walking back in her place. She stirs it with a small stirrer and finally, she was done. She sighs with satisfaction as she grinned. "I guess I'm done~"

Deciding to show off too, Amelia leviates her teaspoon to her as well. She's quite proud of herself when she succeeds. Opening her vial, she measures out the powder, and stirs it quickly before sealing it once more. Staying up front, the young girl turns to her Head of House, "Ma'am? Does it matter what type of snake it is?" She felt the life of everything, but snakes still freaked her out. She preferred a television or at least a thick pane of glass to look at them.

After a good hour or so, Liviana's soupy solution had thawed. Opening up her case of brand new potions supplies, she came to the container of powdered snake skin. Her nimble fingers pinched some of the dusty ingredient, and threw in a dash, which quickly turned the liquid in the vial a deep purple.
Liviana packed up her belongings and waited to hand the glass tube into the professor.

Eriena Emm – Gryffindor – 5th year Eriena had her potion out of the freezer and sitting on her desk. She waited for it to revert back to its former state. She watched the others perform the next step per Professor Ayamae's instructions, and once her potion was ready, she picked up her teaspoon and went to get some of the powdered snakeskin from the professor's desk (she wasn't about to risk levitating it over; she was sure she would knock it against something. She really needed to practice that). She tossed it in, then stirred it a bit, and voila!
"Beauty," Eriena said to herself, satisfied.

First Year Ravenclaw "No. But if we were using a different property of the snake, such as its eyes, tongue, or fangs, we would have to look at venomous vs. non-venemous. Good question. Take 5 points."

Amelia Frances
Amelia blushed, thanking her, though for the question or the points she wasn't sure. Probably both. Slowly she was learning asking questions was a bonus here: that it wouldn't infuriate the teacher, since the teacher would actually know the answer. She nodded quickly, heading back to her seat and Ninna with a smile. Something about the girl made her want to smile, she was just nice to be around. Amelia doubted she'd join in on climbing into the Headmistress's office, but not everyone could Olli. It was nice to actually not have to look up when she was talking to her. Lots of pluses.
