Gavin sat back in the position he was in before he started untangling the blonde's feet. Now that the feet were free of the evil wires; he just wanted to sit there for a moment. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he let his arm rest back on his knee like before. He didn't look at the embarrassed male next to him. It was weird seeing the intense shade of red that colored the shorter males cheeks when he hovered over him look enough to ask a question. Why was he so red anyway? He couldn't recall anyone that blushed so fiercely like that. It made him feel a bit uncomfortable; and he didn't know how to handle something like that. Was he really that embarrassed?

In any case, the reason why he distracted himself with removing the wires as because he'd rather keep himself busy than try to think about what happened. The drummer almost gave a slight smile when Daniel started to fumble with his words: but he didn't. For some reason, Gavin always seemed to like it when the other male struggled with his words. He never really pondered why that was though. "It was my fault for not keeping my balance," he mention after Daniel finished talking for a brief moment. It was a bit weird that he fell as well. It's not like he took an unsteady step when he went to try to stop the blond from falling. There was no way to explain the sensation he felt; but he was almost positive that was why he fell.

Gavin shifted his eyes to look at the few people that were still left in the Music Box. He didn't really care if someone saw them or not. These kinds of things happen, so it's no big deal. Blue gray eyes looked toward Daniel for the first time since he crawled off of him. It was obvious that the guy was bothered by the whole situation; after all, he was still flushed. The drummer just didn't understand why. With that said, a certain shade of pink looked c... 'What was I just thinking!?' He asked himself as his eyes looked away quickly. His head tilted down slightly as he ran his fingers through the hair on his right side before letting his head lay in the palm of that hand. 'Why would I think that he...ah no it was just...uh so annoying,' he thought to himself as confusion set in. He rubbed his fingers back and forth, as if he was scratching his head, while making an incoherent noise.

Gavin let his hand drop to hang from his knee as he looked back at the blond: his face not revealing any real signs of his confusion. That was probably because he switched to focusing on answering the last question that was asked. "Yea..." he replied before glancing out into the fairly empty bar. For some reason, he found it a bit hard to look at him for long. "I went to a University in Japan." He forced his eyes to look back at Daniel as he continued, "sometimes...I speak in Japanese before I even realize it."

Gavin stood up after he finished explaining what the blond probably wanted to know. His eyelids lowered as he looked down at the shorter male. "Why did you ask that? Before you fell..." he added the last part almost as an afterthought. For some reason, he felt like it wouldn't make to ask why Daniel asked him what he was; after all, it kind of felt like he wasn't talking to him. Now he was kind of regretting the fact that he even asked him about it. His eyes shifted to look at the evil wire as he let out a stream of air; making his cheeks puff out like tiny round balloons. Without really waiting for a reply; he walked over to start taking care of the wire before it caused any more problems.

MYSTERIOUS CHIBI GHOST

The chibi ghost watched the two for a bit. When the two started to have a normal conversation, if you want to call it that, the ghost decided it had enough of them. The little thing floated around the place to see what else was going on. Seeing that things were winding down: it flew up to the ceiling and disappeared as it phased through.

Wells immediately turned to look at the stage when he heard the thump of a body hitting the floor. He couldn't really see who was on the ground, although he had a good idea, but he did happen to catch the part where Gavin fell flat on his face. 'What in the world...?' He pondered to himself. The redhead turned his attention back to the girls for a moment.

"Sorry ladies," Wells flashed a smile before continuing, "I should go help." The girls protested a bit, but he slowly broke free from them in a graceful manner. "Don't worry...we'll get to hang out more later." He gave them another charming smile before walking toward the stage. It's not that he was going to check to see what happened...right? He just realized that they should get going; after all, the bar was nearly empty now.

The redhead stepped up onto the stage after strolling over. What he saw was nothing terribly interesting. Gavin just finished rolling up one of the few wires that were still on the floor. Deciding not to interrupt whatever conversation the two were having; Wells started putting up his own stuff. With that said, he can't help but wonder what happened just moments ago. It wasn't a big deal though. He could always talk to Gavin about it on the way home. Thinking of how his friend would respond in his usual short manner made the guitarist smile.

Daniel sat in awkward silence, wondering whether he had gone too far by asking such a personal question. It wasn't any of his business, although he was quite curious. It wasn't every day that someone spoke a language other than English around him. Ever since he'd been little, Daniel had always been curious about other cultures and their respective dialects. The fact that it was Gavin, his new... friend... who had uttered the foreign words almost tripled Daniel's innate curiosity. As he waited for some sort of response, the blond took several slow, steadying breaths. There was no way he could carry on a conversation in the sort of state he'd been in for the past few minutes. He lifted his right hand to push back some of his wavy blond hair - in the process, he briefly touched his cheek. It felt cooler, not near so warm as before. Breathing a soft sigh of relief, he let his hand fall away.

Gavin's voice broke his train of worries and he lifted his gaze to study the drummer with raw astonishment. While it was common enough for people to study abroad in the present day and age, he had yet to meet someone close... to him who had taken that route in life. "D-did you? That's... that's really, um, amazing. Were you in Japan... for v-very long?" He replied, greenish-blue eyes round with a childlike glow, fascination plain upon his cherubic features. No one would ever guess that he was a full grown adult by the way he reacted. At best, he looked about twenty, but he'd lived in the surrounding area most of his life and had never traveled farther than three states away. One could call him a sheltered sort of individual, really.

Now, though, his face fell and grew faintly pale as Gavin stood. Another question was shared, but this time it was the tall drummer who was doing the asking. What he asked, though, abruptly dimmed Daniel's enthusiasm and brought forth yet a deeper form of his usual demureness. Almost frightened, recalling all the times he'd been scolded for his "foolish behavior" involving the things he could "see", Daniel silently rose. As he did, Gavin seemed to become distracted and moved on to finish his clearing of the stage. Daniel watched on, holding his left arm around the elbow with his right hand across the front of his body. A defensive stance, generally exploited by naughty children caught stealing from the cookie jar. Briefly, Daniel glanced away from Gavin when Ian appeared, intent on packing away his own instruments.

Swallowing, Daniel decided that there was no avoiding this confrontation, innocent as it was. Gavin had heard him, after all, so there was no back-tracking or making of excuses. Thus, once the drummer had finished, Daniel stepped closer for a moment, eyes on the ground until he'd gathered his courage. Uncertain, plaintive orbs rose to stare up into Gavin's hooded eyes. Shoulders hunched a bit, he softly cleared his throat. "I... I wasn't, um, a-asking you... ah... Do y-you believe in... spirits? Like ghosts?" Pulling his lower lip between his teeth, Daniel gently bit on it, eyes lowering for a moment. "I-I've... been told they don't... exist. T-that I shouldn't... d-don't see... what I... do. B-but, crazy as it sounds, I saw one... A ghost. That is... there was o-one n-near y-y-you..." His breath hitched quietly and he shuddered, fighting back his past fears. No one ever believed him, but he wasn't going to lie. Not to Gavin. "I'm s-sorry... b-but it's the truth... That's why..."

┌─────────────────────────────┐

"About three years..." was his immediate response to the question Daniel asked about Japan. He didn't bother to mention the fact that he spent his entire college years in that country. It didn't seem necessary, since someone could probably assume that was the case. Plus, they could always ask to make sure; although, he did take note of Daniel's obvious enthusiasm. It made the corners of his lips curl up slightly. It was...nice how excited the other male seemed.

Gavin looked toward his best friend when he got on stage as he put the wire away. It didn't take long for him to realize that the redhead was going to leave them be while he started cleaning up the rest. That was when Daniel walked up to him. He kept his attention on the blond while waiting for the shorter male to speak. When words finally spilled from his nervous mouth; Gavin's eyes narrowed slightly. He almost told the guy that he didn't believe in such things in his usual simple manner, but he ended up letting him finish whatever it was he had to say instead.

Gavin walked over to the piano and carefully shut it, so that the keys were covered, before sitting down on the little bench. As he did so, he pondered the words a bit. They do say that a ghost causes the chill, but what he felt tonight was nothing like the rumors. Blue gray orbs lifted up to look at Daniel. "I don't believe in things that haven't been proven to me..." he paused for a moment before continuing, "but...I also think anything can be possible."

The truth of the matter was; Gavin is more of a logical scientific type of person. It would be extremely hard for someone to convince him that certain things, like ghosts, actually exist. At this point, he doesn't believe in such things. With that said, Daniel never lied to him before so there was no reason to believe that he just started now. He has run into people that have claimed to witness unnatural things. His view was always that they might truly believe they have seen such a thing, but since it was just hearsay in his own eyes: he couldn't ever believe in them.

"Your beliefs are true for you and only you," Gavin stated after a moment of silence. What he meant was the fact that any one person can believe in something, but it doesn't make it true for someone else. Not only that, but you can't try to force your believe on another person. With that said, it might so happen that two people believe in the same basic thing. Just because two people believe in the it, doesn't mean that the truth for them is exactly the same. For instance, Gavin believes in scientific prove, but he also knows that people make mistakes and those proofs can change sometimes. There are probably other people that believe in scientific prove, but think it is absolute like a cemented law. Similar: yet different. Because of his view on beliefs, he doesn't disbelieve Daniel in the slightest. After all, the blond was telling him what is true for him: it's not like he is lying. Just because he, himself, has a differing viewpoint about ghosts: doesn't mean that the shorter males is wrong in general. Of course, he didn't go into any explanations as to what those words truly meant. If Daniel was going to ask: he would.

With that out of the way; Gavin leaned back against the piano. For some odd reason, he was happy that what was asked was directed at a "ghost" instead of him. It probably had to do with some painful past he just started to remember. His eyes shifted to look at the wall across from him. The look on his face was like it normally was; he didn't show any disgust when Daniel revealed the fact that he saw a ghost. After all, he had no such feelings.

Yuko was a little surprised that the young woman didn't have a significant other. Men would fall over themselves to have a chance at her, she was certain. Especially since Lacey tended to be shy. Men were attracted to such vulnerabilities, feeling a desire to protect and shelter. Her beauty was also more delicate than Yuko's own. Where the space-time witch exuded confidence, strength, and allure, Lacey was more like a flower, soft and endearing.

Yuko pondered the question put to her by Lacey. After a few moments, she shrugged. "It's entirely possible, but probably not in the way you're thinking. I'd be something like a cousin or an aunt if we were." She smiled sweetly. "As for my powers, I deal with many kinds of things. I grant wishes, for a price, of course." Her smile turned seductive and her eyes glowed with her power. "Do you have a wish, Lacey?"

Lacey took a sip of her sake as she glanced at the people that were still there. She turned her attention back to Yuko when the lady responded. This woman liked to answer things in riddles. That's what the petite female thought anyway. What way was she thinking exactly? It just made the answer more confusing than it needed to be. Then again, maybe Yuko was just pointing out how, just like this bar, their possible connected is anything but "normal".

"Wishes for a price..." Lacey said more to herself. She pondered that for a moment as she took another sip. What kind of price was she talking about? After all, these are wishes that they were talking about. To get any wish granted seemed to have a hefty price. There is no way that it would be related to money. It just didn't seem like something like that could compensate at all. She set her choko down and looked up at Yuko.

Lacey didn't spend much time thinking about the price of wishes; after all, she was distracted by the question Yuko asked. As she thought of a wish, her dark eyes studied the others glowing orbs. They were quite enchanting. She wanted to just stare into them for a while: but decided it best to answer. "I don't think I would ever be able to come up with a wish that I'd truly want..." she paused a moment so she could give a gentle smile "I suppose...that would make me a bit boring." The young girl let out a soft chuckle and shifted her eyes away from the older female.

((Sorry, I've just been blank about what I should post... Here's a stab!

Christoph waved as more people left, then glanced around the bar. There were a few stragglers here and there, lingering over their last drinks. The band was packing up their equipment, along with Daniel's help, though it looked more like he was being clumsy rather than helpful. Christoph smiled and continued to survey his domain.

Finally, reluctantly, he looked over to the end of the bar where Yuko was sitting with Lacey. Their conversation was light and casual, but Christoph couldn't convince himself that it would be rude if he interrupted them. They didn't seem to be having a heart-to-heart conversation, after all. He flipped a clean rag over his shoulder and strolled down the length of the bar with a grin that looked more confident than he felt inside.

"Well, ladies, the night seems to be coming to a close. I hope you two had fun?"

Yuko smiled mysteriously.
"I was just asking Lacey if she had any wishes. She was curious about what I do." An icy shiver ran through Christoph, and his eyes flicked nervously to the young woman for the barest of instants. Yuko noticed, of course, and laughed throatily. "No, she said she doesn't. Turning towards her, she commented, "You're unusual in that aspect. I can see that you're telling the truth and don't have any wishes or desires that you want granted. It seems that you simply float along the currents of existence without a fight. You are a rare person indeed."

Christoph felt a wave of relief. He still wasn't sure what he would do if Yuko plied her trade in his bar. He certainly couldn't forbid her from doing it, since it was in her nature.

Lacey gave Christoph a big smile when he came over and started speaking to them both. Then she proceeded to watch the two interact in silence. Of course she noticed the owners nervous glance in her direction. After all, she was an observant person. He seemed to be flustered about the whole wish thing. Hmm...maybe Yuko granted him a wish and it had something to do with him being attached to this bar. Oh whatever. It's not like she really knew that much about everything related to the Music Box. Her mind would probably wander off and make it a lot more complicated than it actually was. In time, she will find out more. There was no need to rush really. Right?

Lacey turned her attention back to Yuko after she took her last sip of sake. Gently, she pushed the empty choko closer to the other side of the counter as she smiled at the Japanese lady. "Floating huh?" She spoke more to herself than anyone else. Her dark orbs shifted to look at something that was on a shelf behind the bar. "I wonder if that's a good thing..." She mused to herself.

After she realized that she was zoning out for a bit; she chuckled nervously and slipped quietly off her seat. "I should probably get going..." Lacey said before giving them both a smile. She twirled around to look at the few people that were left. The remnants of the band seemed to be getting ready to leave. Then it hit her: Mel wasn't here anymore. "I forgot..." she uttered to no one in particular. She checked the time on her phone before dropping it into her small purse. "Oh well," she said more to herself, "I'm sure I will be fine." Sure it was late, but she would have had to walk home alone the first time if Mel didn't randomly make an appearance. The petite girl was never one to be worried about how dangerous it might be to wander the streets at night. Of course she was always aware and did realize that something bad could happen.

Lacey turned to walk to the bathroom. She didn't really have to go, but it would be bad if she suddenly had the urge to pee. There was no way she would go outside. That kind of thing would be utterly embarrassing. What if one of the people that left after her happened to walk by then? She shuddered at the thought. It didn't take long for her to go about her business. Soon she emerged from the bathroom and took another glance around the place.

((No worries...it was perfect. ^_^))

Three years was a long time. Daniel had always lived in nearly the same place, including now, as his family home was only a short bike ride away from the Music Box and his shared apartment. Rather, Liam's apartment, as he hadn't been the one to first sign the apartment's lease. Instead he paid Liam directly each month, splitting the rent in two. He hadn't always lived with the other musician. Two years ago he had lived on his own, across town, attending the college where he and Liam had later met at. Having never moved more than a half hour or so from where he'd grown up, Daniel couldn't begin to imagine what living abroad would be like. Not in the slightest. His surprise was visible on his face as his head tilted to the right, mouth faintly parted to allow both air and astonishment to pass between his lips. "All on your own?" He asked without warning, both curious and admiringly.

That question, however, faded away as the current conversation took over. Daniel's enthusiasm faded some as he waited for Gavin's response to his previous admittance. He wasn't sure what had possessed him to speak so frankly. Then again, Daniel was an honest soul and couldn't stomach the harsh reality lies could create. If one could see the aura that harbored his soul's colors, than it would be obvious that Daniel's heart was an earnest one, always endeavoring to make the best out of the worst.

His breath was held as Gavin moved to the piano, uncertain green-blue eyes shy beneath a layer of golden lashes. Heart hammering, he let the short replies sink in as best he could. Their meanings were rather ambiguous, but it didn't appear as though Gavin was about to brush off his... eccentricities automatically. Somewhat relieved, but still slightly perplexed with no real answer at hand, Daniel's chin sunk as he slowly nodded. Abashed, but strangely gratified by Gavin's show of support, however offhanded it was, the blond shifted his weight from foot to foot. "I wouldn't ask y-you... anyone... to ch-change your beliefs. Whether you d-do or not doesn't really matter. I only wanted t-to... to tell the truth. I'm not so sure my-myself, just what i-it was... or why it was with-uhm-near... you."

Sighing tiredly, he glanced over to where Gavin's red-haired band mate was busy packing. He probably shouldn't hold them up much longer, especially with such silly situations. His previous clumsiness rose back up in his mind's eye and Daniel hastily looked away from where Gavin and Elijah were, staring instead out over the mostly empty bar. "Anyways... I, uhm, I'm happy I got t-to hear you... your band... play again. Elijah should finish that one guitar piece... It was lovely... Nn. Will you be coming back here s-soon, Gavin?" He hurriedly switched the subject, inwardly berating himself for being so easily flustered. Stupid cheeks. Stupid wire.

Liam was still feeling a bit testy by the time the last irregular patron was escorted outside. It was a few minutes past the normal closing time, so things weren't all that bad. As the door closed behind him, he turned to finish his previous occupation of clearing off the tables. A few bottles and glasses remained: those he quickly scooped up and separated behind the bar. Bottles into a recycle bin kept beneath the long bar and sink, the glasses into the back where they could be properly cleaned.

A short while later, he emerged from the back room. With only the band and two or three regular visitors left to look after, Liam had already changed out of his bartender attire and into his street clothes. Wearing cream colored slacks, a white button down top and a matching short-sleeved jacket, he looked the very picture of easy sophistication and youth. A leather bracelet wrapped around his left wrist in numerous loops, while a single silver stud graced his left ear. He'd left his hair alone, half done up so that only a few strands of hair framed his face.

Giving the two band members a solitary glance, noticing his roommate in the process, Liam left them to finish what they were doing. Instead he checked the stock of clean linens and cups behind the bar. Busy as he seemed with needless, menial tasks, his mind was elsewhere, following the direction of his gaze. Cool amber eyes lay on the trio situated at the far end of the bar. Two starkly similar women and his boss, Christoph. Lips pinched at their ends, he finally decided it was then or never. The young girl left for a bit, leaving only Christoph and Yuko.

Liam silently approached and then stood to one side for a moment, gauging the situation. Christoph seemed ten times more relaxed around the Japanese witch than when she had first arrived. Still, he felt guilty for having failed to live up to his employer's expectations - leaving so suddenly had certainly been a raw decision. One he hoped to make up for, somehow.

"Mistress Yuko, I owe you an apology. My early behavior was... less than reputable, especially since you had done nothing wrong. I am sorry..." He said, beginning softly to gain her attention, then stronger as feelings of frustration surfaced and an old pain reflected in his otherwise sincere stare. Turning toward Christoph, he glanced to one side for a moment and then quietly added, "I am also sorry to you. I can't explain my actions, but I hope you'll believe me when I say that it won't happen again."
