((1. It'd be fine if you wanted to, if not slightly pointless if the bugger's a mute. Just maybe do more NPC interaction?
2. I'd suggest standard RPG stats, Strength, Int, Endurance, Charisma, Dexterity, Magic etc, but sounds good to me.))

He gave a short, curt nod to a passing group as the blade began to twitch far more violently. "It seems we're close to the source."

Trajedie chuckled. "It's alright. I find it ammusing when you talk like that. I know the difference between what is said and what actually happens. I also know when to take a joke, unlike certain others." She watched hs sword twitch and turn. She couldn't help but tense up ever so slightly. This would be an interesting experience.
((I'm fine with your character and I like the idea of rating the characters.))

Air caught up with Trajedie and Draxis her hair still standing on end "Yeh, so if it's external we're screwed" she said sounding somewhat disappointed. "What ever you do don't let me touch the.... thingy that we find, and I know what you're going to say... not funny" she said to Draxis.

Trajedie chuckled lightly before turning to Air. "Let me guess... You tried to fey step. I'm actually glad you did that. Now I won't have to make that mistake." She smiled to show that she was just teasing. Although Air wasn't her favorite person in the world, it wouldn't hurt to try to get along with her until they parted ways.

Draxis gave her a honest smile. It was nice to see a fresh response for a change. About to respond, his sword leapt forwards, and he lost his grip. Picking it up, it was harder than it should have been to lift. "I think it's underground here then...Don't think it's too far down."

"Great, my turn" She gently nudged Draxus out of the way and thrust her sword into the ground. "This is pretty cool" she said hoping she still had the energy to do this rather complex piece of magic. The sword started to spin in the ground but nothing else happened, it should have made anything solid to rise but it failed miserably. "I'll get the shovels then" she sighed pulling her sword out of the ground and wondering off to find some.

Trajedie nodded and knelt down, digging her dagger into the dirt and stabbing it multiple times before setting it to the side and digging with her bare hands. "There's no reason we can't give ourselves a head start while she goes for shovels." She explained as she began to move the dir out of the way. She was not such a female asto be afraid of getting ones hands dirty.

Air was walking around randomly sticking her head in random windows, "Anyone got a shovel, or some spoons or something". After about 40 seconds she had been lent a shovel, she didn't expect anything else so she ran back. Once she saw the pair she threw the garden implement in-between them "Got one".

Draxis shrugged, working beside Trajedie and picking up the shovel. After a few throws, he had succeeded in making a large pile of dirt. Plunging down again, he heard a short clink as the shovel was stopped. Bending down, Draxis picked up the artifact.. It was egg shaped and crystal like, shining a brilliant red. A copper ring circled it. Holding it up for the others to see, he smiled. "What do you think?" The question was mostly aimed at Air'gen, for she had the most magical experience.

"I can't leave yet." She put her bag down and walked over to a child that was crying next to a dead soldier. "Was that you father?" She asked and the child nodded. She looked at the body and shut the eyes. 'This poor child... the people. Not much damage done to the town its self but to the people...' She sighed. There was a dance that would be preformed after deaths and wars that was believe to help souls pass on. It was proudly named Animus Tripudio or Souls Dance. It is rumored that when this dance is preformed that the souls orbs become visible during the dance. "Come here." She said in a sweet voice as she held her arms out. The child came to her and she held him. "Don't worry. I will help." She let go of him and picked up her bag. She headed for the center of the town.

Trajedie brushed off her hands as she stood up to inspect the item. "All I've got is that it's got a beauty to it. In my experience beauty and magic generally mean something that is not good. Much like a trap or something... Of course that's all just speculation." After stating this she turned to Air with a question on her face. She didn't know as much about magic as was usual for a wood elf. Or an elf of any kind for that matter. She had always worked too hard on her stealth to take the time for it.

"I'm so keeping that if its not cursed, or if Draxis doesn't break it. Do what you did with the staff if that doesn't work try standing on it" this was the best Air could come up with but she kept thinking.

Draxis paused for a second. "I'll try to nullify it then. You can keep it if you really want." Muttering to himself he gently laughed. "Women. One minute I'm a pervert, the next they're easily distracted by a shiny rock and love me." Carefully, a burst of blue light emanated from his hands, though he wasn't sure it had worked. "Should we check the barrier?"

"You have to admit it's a very nice shiny rock" Air said shooting an arrow at the barrier, it hit and sort of hovered for a moment before falling "Kind of working, try again" she added.

Placing the stone in both hands, Draxis gave a short shout, pushing energy into the artifact. When done, he began to pant. "I really..need to stop...doing this."
