 Varro watched the men in the final stages of their spar, their movements were incredible. Quick and decisive, his own mind calculated their swings and positioning, figuring he was far from quick enough to compete with either in their full capacity. While his mind could keep up, his body wouldn't. The concept of their art and complete control of their bodies that allowed them to move with inhuman grace intrigued him, but it also made him consider if their were tools he could build that could aid him in his personal quest to betterment. When the fight had ended and Lou faced them all, he stood to his feet. The others introduced themselves first and when the Mizukage focused his attention on him he gave a respectful bow, "I am Varro Hai'Auo, builder, inventor, and soon to be a great asset to our village I dare hope. It is an honor Lord Mizukage."

Kanzuki looked at Kai and gave him a grin," Good job man, you did quite well for fighting Luo-Sama." Kanzuki said his praise, impressed that his friend had done so well.

Check my profile, he learned it when he was Four)) (I don't know if you mis-understood me, but no you can't, no hyuuga, no matter what they may say in their back story, starts off being able to use the byakugan, you must either learn it as part of your training in Juken, or when you are put in a life threatening situation, most of the bloodlines are set-up in this manner actually)
Just finished reading over the style. Basically this character can't do jack unless I move to Leaf and learn how to use the Eyes, then become at LEAST High Chuunin before even the basics are available. Again, thanks a lot.)) burning_eyes (I don't know why you would have to move to leaf, and the idea that you can't do the basics is ridiculous, you untap the power of the byakugan at the third stage of the style, at this point you would be fairly proficient in taijutsu, you can strike pressure points which cause severe pain and greatly limit movement, and you still have 360 degree vision, meaning that you can even guard against attacks you wouldn't otherwise be able to see. Do not get an attitude, the only difference between the style and how it was before is that you can't cut off chakra flow until after becoming a chuunin, or at least not until after the first couple stages of the chuunin exams)

Kaizen's eyes widened as Luo's blade sailed towards his face. Flinching in anticipation of the blow, Kai shut his eyes instinctively and waited for the blow to land. Then as Luo began speaking Kai hesitantly opened one eye only to see that Luo had stopped the blow short. An embarrassed chuckle escaped his lips as he lifted a hand and began scratching the back of his head. After Luo had finished, Kai rose slowly up to his feet, being careful to keep his weight off of his right foot. Bowing awkwardly, Kai said, "Thank you Luo-Dono, I will do just that."Kai then looked around at the courtyard, finally realizing just how many people had been watching. Kai's stark white eyes scanned the crowd, not sure what to make of the varying expressions that the crowd wore. Kai took a special note of the girl that had stark white eyes much like his own, wondering if they had anything in common. Kai then stiffly looked away and began hobbling over to his blade. As Kanzuki congratulated him, Kai turned towards his friend at the same time that he grabbed the hilt of his blade. With a smile Kai yanked the blade out of the ground before asking excitedly, "How did I do?""I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

After addressing the young girl, Luo turned his attention to the young man with the staff. Polite, intelligent by the sound of what he claimed himself to do, and by appearance alone moderately strong, Luo took a rather immediate interest in the young man. It was also at his first glance at the academy student, Luo was reminded of just how young he actually was. Varro could not have been more than three years younger than him, and it gave Luo an odd feeling to hold such prestige over someone he could have possibly even played with as a child in the village. "Likewise, it is indeed an honor to meet you Varro Hai'Auo. I hope your skill for invention and architecture will perhaps aid the village on a larger scale someday."
As Luo spoke to the students in front of him, he watched another arrive and congratulate Kaizen. He was proud of Kaizen and the praise he received. It was something Luo thought he needed after the loss of his parents during the attack of Houkou. Perhaps this praise will keep his mind off of such things, and allow the boy to grow as a strong shinobi. He could already tell he would be a good swordsman.

Aideen Hyuuga  ミストのブラインド娘 Hyuuga Bloodline| Academy Student| Taijutsuist Aideen nodded, wasn't sure she'd seen it on her way here, maybe she just wasn't paying attention to it. She watched the second swordsmen who seemed to be using his blade as a crutch. He seemed ok, she'd always heard Kirigakure styles were tough. But she refocused on what she had to do. Learn Suiton jutsus, and a taijutsu style, easy enough...I think.
