Elrothiel paused a few feet away from the man to study him as he tended his horse. She looked him over and tried to discover his character in order to decide how to approach him. As she watched him however, she couldn't quite figure him out. Unsure how to proceed, she continued to watch him silently, searching his face for anything that would help her.

Sila was quite as she looked her bow over. It was fine. Just like it had been like had been given to her. Just like he had said that it would stay.

She let a small smile tug up the corrners of her mouth and quickly put her bow away and looked her sword over. She had used both, and the sword demaned more attnetion right now. It was dirty, stained black with blood. She sighed with disgust and cleaned it off.

Althougth she was working with her weapons, Sila did not the man that the had helped out of her sight. She was no imedeat friend of men, and she felt that someone else was around as well. She had no reason to think that, but her life in Mirkwood had taught her to be careful, espically about feelings.

Sil sensed another different presence around her and instinctively took out her bow and knotched an arrow. She looked around, a bit confused and wondering if the stench of the blood was making her mind play tricks, but then heard another footstep. She turned again and layed eyes on a man. He was heading in her direction. She started to go up to him as well, and the comfort of her weapon helped.

The man extended his hands away from his body, to the sides. Although it looked peaceful, his sword could be out in moments. "I mean you no harm." The man said. "My name is Ranu Blackheart. Despite my name I serve good. I seek the way to Lord Elrond."

The way the man spoke did not convinve Isil of being unharmful though she brought her weapon down and left the arrow still knotched. "As do I an my partners. I am Isil Mithradir, ranger of some land. What business do you have with Lord Elrond, Sir Blackheart?"

Elrothiel turned at the sounds of voices and saw Ranu for the first time.
"My name is Elrothiel," she said softly, "and the land you seek is my homeland." She shifted her weight slightly, so that she could keep both men in sight, and still see her own companions. She looked at Isil and Sila, she trusted their judgement and they were more perceptive than she was. She waited.

Ranu lowered his hands slowly and winced slightly. Walking for months made some movements more painful then others. "I wish to ask the wise Elrond for advise on the north, and if he has knowledge on Orc locations." He lowered his head a moment. "I see you've been busy too."

"Well, I didn't expect to run into so many people in my life who wished to talk, but I don't see why you cannot join us beiong we all head for the same place. Being these lands lurk with many more beasts than they used to..." Isil took the arrow off of the string and placed it back in her quiver. 'You are growing foolish. What trust so many?' a voice said in her head. It was the old pesonality that still lingered there.

Slowly stands up, spotting the girl in front of him as he eyes her over curiously, a bit wary of a group of strangers that would just walk right into a battlefied, his attention soon turning to the others that seemed to be near her. His hands were uneasy about this, but they rested lightly over his chest as he looks down at Lunarexion who was now standing up behind them, eating some of the dry grass as if he didn't have a care in the world. A light grin tugs on the corner of his lips as he turns back around to face them. "So what brings people like you to the Riddermark?"

Ranu nodded and touched his forhead in a northen sign of respect. "I am honoured by such an offer." He glanced East then on impulse blurted out "And have you ever seen a caravan of people hading south?"

Elrothiel also shook her head. A caravan? she wondered, pondering the question before realising the man behind her had spoken to them.

"I am Lady Elrothiel, an elf from Rivendell, and until recently have been staying in Fangorn." Her lips twitched slightly as she spoke, she wondered whether the man knew about the ents or whether he believed the woods to be evil and haunted. "I left to return home to Rivendell when a messenger reached me, asking me to gather news and return to report to Elrond as soon as I could. I have been detained several times now..." she eyed the man's livery and decided not to mention her previous trip to the Golden Hall, "...and then I was attacked by orcs, slightly short of Mirkwood. I was heavily outnumbered..." by about five thousand to one, she thought, "...and was captured. I was later rescued by a man who bargained with the orcs for my release. I joined up with the others there. We were travelling southwards, seeking a place where we could cross the mountains, when we heard the sounds of the battle. As it was the same band of orcs as before, we came to lend our aid, but the battle was already almost over."

Isil turned to Elrothiel for a moment. How can she go on about what had happened in her life to a stranger as an opening convronsation? How can anyone trust someone so easily? She wondered. She hardly told people about her life, let alone a male who she ran into in the woods.

Eroswyn barely notices a light bead of sweat roll down the side of his forehead as he waits for his reply, though turns back to his horse, walking over to it without another word, his leg swinging gracefully over the saddle to let his body rest upon Lunarexion. Looking back over to the others, he lets his arms continue to rest lazily over his chest.

Isil watched as the man mounted his horse. She went over to him as Elothiel talked to the other man, "Sir. You are the one from Rohan. Do I stand to be corrected?" She asked as she thought back to the horn that was blown.
