Callista finished unraveling the safeguard and walked out into the moonlight. She turned and quickly set the safeguard back before going off to hunt. She found and lured her prey to her, taking enough to keep her sustained for a couple of days, but not enough to kill her prey. She gently set the male pony on the ground and took off back to the cave. She undid the safeguard and walked in, her eyes bright. "Now for the soup I promised." Callista had gathered some herbs and vegatables on her way back from eating and started to cook them over a small fire she had made. "There, that's done. Soup for you!" She handed the bowl to Valzar and sat down next to him.

Valzar timidly sniffed at the soup, "Wow...a girl who can actually cook..."

Callista giggled. "I'm out of practice, actually. Daddy wanted us to appear as normal as possible, so my sister and I can cook just about anything."

"I'm one of the few members in my house who can actually cook..." he said quietly as he sipped from the soup. "My Father can't, neither can Rowena or Synne..."

"That's really good. I've never met a male that could cook before. Daddy says that men should learn the ways of fighting. Mommy made him teach me and Serena though. She said it might come in handy, and it did." Callista flashed a bright smile, happy to listen.

"Lilah taught me," Valzar said quietly. "And now I'm teaching my younger brother."

Callista nodded. "Who's Lilah and which younger brother are you teaching? Or do you only have one younger brother?"

"Lilah is an old friend of father's...who's apparently having his children," Valzar shook his head. "I do not understand my family. Regardless, I am teaching Erian, one of my two younger brothers, how to cook. He seems to enjoy it."

"So you'll have more little siblings? That's exciting. Your family will have enough to start its own colony before long." She wasn't sure whether or not to smile, it seemed like an ify thing. "I've never heard about Erian before."

"Sometimes it feels like we already do..." he said quietly. "And that's not surprising, most of my siblings leave me well enough alone except for Synne, who is this nicest to me and Saber, who is usually not very nice. But it appears Erian and I are similar in interests when it come to our magical studies..."

He smiled, "Synne doesn't give you a choice and Erian is very quiet, but he's smart too, smart enough to stay out of the fights that my other siblings," he paused for a moment to correct himself. "That Saber and Proteus get into."
