spanishnerd99 Hawk_McKrakken I dunno much about Italian yet but I wanna start learning some soon, so maybe some of you can answer a couple questions for me before I get started: 1] As with Spanish, does the accent mark indicate that the syllable stress falls with that vowel? 2] Does the g (after e or i) make a zh sound or a j sound? 3] What are the conditions on which the s can make a z sound? 1.) Yes, and it's usually at the end of a word. 2.) I've heard both. 3.) It depends. Not at the beginning of a word. Before vowels. I don't believe before consonants. Grazie mille. mrgreen

Dismel I'm trying everything in my will to learn italian. So right now, I think I'd like to start off with a nice simple subtle convo. "Hi, how are you? I'm good/bad/okay, thanks, and you? My name is ____, nice to meet you. Bye" I know every thing in that except for nice to meet you. Ciao, come stai?(Hi, how are you?) Io sto bene/male/ non c'e male, grazie, e tu?
